Our Daughter's Tragic Suicide on Zoloft

"After 6 days on the drug, she hung herself in the garage."

Our child was prescribed Zoloft from a Psychiatrist at a day clinic she was to attend from 9-3 for two weeks. She was hopeful at first and enjoyed attending and speaking about her problems with social anxiety and sadness that she had had for about a year. After 6 days on the drug, she hung herself in the garage. She had never harmed herself in anyway before, there was no mention of harming herself in any of the journals she kept. All that knew her before treatment with Zoloft, were shocked. She was a very physically cautious child who had hope for the future.
