"Please do something now to stop more deaths..."

In May of 2003 my nephew, Matthew Alan King began taking the antidepressant Paxil, due to what his doctor called a social anxiety disorder.
He would have been 13 years old on Nov. 22, 2003. On Oct. 27th, 2003 at 4:15 pm he wrote his parents a short note, then put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger. He was pronounced dead at 9:05 pm that nite.
Until I got on my computer the next day, to research any side effects of the meds he was taking, his parents were completely unaware that drug was related to suicidal tendencies in adolescents.
Please do something now to stop more deaths, and make any doctor responsible for his actions when prescribing such a drug to our children.
Read my letter if you wish, to everyone know that this small town in Maine and one loving family has just lost a, intelligent, handsome, young man who can never be replaced in our hearts.
