Super Brain Yoga: Alternative Help Success for Improving Memory in 3 – 5 Minute Exercise

Simple 3 – 5 minute exercise improves memory for those with Alzheimers, Autism, Dyslexia, just natural aging, etc. This exercise reminds me so much of an exercise I had my children do to overcome Dyslexia when they were children. The exercise I used was called Educational Kinesiology and while writing this I realized I could Google it and sure enough here is a website for it: http://www.braingym.org/

So I would encourage you to watch the video below for the Super Brain Yoga exercise, plus check out Educational Kinesiology’s website above. Both excellent sources!!!!! And while you do so keep in mind that antidepressants cause severe memory problems. There are three Facebook groups you should be aware of addressing this.

The first is Antidepressant-Induced Alzheimer’s, Amnesia, and Memory Loss which you can find at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/1448649102099201/

The second group is Antidepressant-Induced False Accusations of Abuse which can be found at this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/878496472235198/

And the other group is Antidepressant-Induced Autism which can be found at this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/328990743967534/

Study: Tumeric More Effective in Treating Depression Than Prozac, Etc.

Study: Turmeric more Effective than Prozac at Treating Depression

For those who may have missed this…from the article below we read:

A recent study published in Phytotherapy Research says that not only is turmeric effective at treating depression, it may even be more effective than some of the most common anti-depressant drugs currently on the market.

Antidepressants Do NOT Work!

First of all let me point out that the statement quoted above is not completely correct because antidepressants are NOT effective in treating depression contrary to what you hear every evening in television ads. The drugs may give an initial feeling of making a patient think they are feeling better because they work like an anesthetic. When you are feeling nothing of course the feelings of depression, anxiety, etc. stop but you can also lose all the good feelings as well. In fact many patients come off these drugs because they can no longer feel. So, when you consider that information combined with the following facts:

– serotonin has long been known to be ELEVATED rather than low in depression

– serotonin metabolism is what is low in depression and antidepressants inhibit the metabolism of serotonin thus worsening depression

– studies demonstrate the worsening of depression and anxiety after using an antidepressant long term

– the fact that those with anxiety have been found to have serotonin levels EIGHT TIMES HIGHER than normal so clearly elevating those levels with an antidepressant is NOT a good thing

– depression and stress can be detected medically via elevated levels of cortisol, yet one single 30mg dose of Prozac was shown in an early study done by the manufacturer themselves to clearly DOUBLE the level of cortisol!

– the only apparent “beneficial” effects from antidepressants seems to be the stimulant effect they provide as they test out in the blood as amphetamine which explains why patients so often end up with a Bipolar or manic reaction to these drugs

(for supporting scientific research on these statements refer to my book Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? – Our Serotonin Nightmare at www.drugawareness.org)

… (so with all of that is taken into consideration) it would appear that this study would demonstrate that tumeric is far more superior in treating depression than any antidepressant ever approved by the FDA.

With this information in mind I invite you to read the information below on the results of this study on tumeric.

But before deciding to make any changes in dose of an antidepressant please see the warnings below and links to withdrawal helps because any abrupt change in dose can cause deadly results if you and/or your doctor do not know what you are doing!!!

Study: Turmeric more Effective than Prozac at Treating Depression

by Elizabeth Renter
July 24th, 2013

It’s common knowledge in the natural health world that pharmaceuticals often (if not always) do more harm than good. It’s also clear that foods, herbs, and other natural sources can offer similar benefits without those nasty side effects. Once again, our beliefs have been affirmed by science: A recent study published in Phytotherapy Research says that not only is turmeric effective at treating depression, it may even be more effective than some of the most common anti-depressant drugs currently on the market.

While previous studies have indicated the effectiveness of turmeric (curcumin) in treating serious depression, this study was the first randomized controlled clinical trial of its kind.

Researchers with the Department of Pharmacology of Government Medical College in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India compared the effects of turmeric and Prozac (fluoxetine), both used together and individually, in 60 patients diagnosed with major depressive disorder (MDD).

According to GreenMedInfo.com, the researchers used the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale to measure their results:

“We observed that curcumin was well tolerated by all the patients. The proportion of responders as measured by the HAM-D17 scale was higher in the combination group (77.8%) than in fluoxetine [Prozac] (64.7%) and the curcumin (62.5%) groups; however, these data were not statistically significant (P?=?0.58). Interestingly, the mean change in HAM-D17 score at the end of six weeks was comparable in all three groups (P?=?0.77). This study provides first clinical evidence that curcumin may be used as an effective and safe modality for treatment in patients with MDD without concurrent suicidal ideation or other psychotic disorders.”

While reading the researchers conclusions indicates one treatment (turmeric) is equally effective as Prozac, it doesn’t account for the negative effects of Prozac, which boost turmeric’s value considerably. Prozac is known to cause “suicidal ideation or other psychotic disorders,” frightening side effects that are clearly absent in turmeric use.

In addition to fighting depression, the bright yellow root commonly used in Indian cooking known as turmeric has been found to have numerous health benefits. In addition to this enlightening research on its efficacy in depression treatment, we know it also has value in the treatment of inflammatory conditions, diabetes, and even cancer. If that isn’t enough, it’s also been shown effective in aiding in weight loss and cutting heart disease risk. Plus, it tastes amazing.

Anti-depressant medications are some of the biggest of Big Pharma’s many big money-makers. Equipped with knowledge like the findings of this most recent study, consumers have the potential to undermine their goal of drugging America and the world.

The Volcano an Ionic Diffuser for Your Home, 33″ Tall on Sale Today

ionic diffuser

The Volcano, an Negative Ion Essential Oil Diffuser!!!

How exciting!!!! I just heard about that! Whoever invented this negative ion diffuser must have had antidepressant victims in mind because negative ions are incredible for helping to restore someone to normal serotonin levels as negative ions actually aid in serotonin metabolism.

If you have read my information on Dr. Felix Sulman, who was the initial researcher into serotonin in Israel, you know he was doing research on using negative ions to restore those to health who were unable to metabolize serotonin which is the position antidepressants leave you in after using them and is the case with many of those who are depressed even before taking the drugs.

Everyone that suffers depression or has had an adverse reaction to these serotonergic antidepressants needs to have one of these in their home! You get both the negative ions AND the essential oils that work so well in restoring normal brain function. And since it is water based it would also help as a humidifier in your home. With winter coming up this is a great help.

“The Volcano,” a 33″ floor model ionic essential oil diffuser just went on sale for a limited time. It also comes with a remote control! I have never been more excited about a diffuser as I am this one! Now $129.99!!! It was priced at $199.99. They were able to reach a deal with the manufactures and that savings has been spilled onto us. You can see it here – http://whoodie.com/volcano-ultimate-floor-model-diffuser-young-living-essential-oils-p-340.html

Angioedema – Bringing Attention to Rare? Blood Disorder?????

Traci before and after

TRACI AFTER

Traci Vaillencourt Before

TRACI BEFORE

I thought I would give you a glimpse of what the medical community and the media does to divert attention from antidepressant side effects and also to cover their behinds for lawsuits. This is the headline of the article in today’s paper about the young woman,, Traci Villaincourt, whose pics I posted yesterday along with information about antidepressant-induced angioedema.

Woman involved in Draper shooting brings attention to rare blood disorder

Here is one important statement from the article: “”We would hospitalize patients and often give them narcotics or morphine just to get them through the pain,” Jones said.

“Jones said that often patients become addicted to the pain medication prescribed for the disorder. King said that is what happened to her sister.”

The following is my comment that likely will not be posted:

“I would like to see the evidence that this disorder was “hereditary” [They said her father had it, but of course what I want to know is if her father, living in the state that has LONG had the highest use of antidepressants was on an antidepressant before being diagnosed with this “disorder” as well.] and not medication-induced which appears to be a major cause of the disorder. Do a Google search for “angioedema and antidepressant” and see what your first result is! Antidepressants have long been known to produce this.

“They have been giving pain killers for this “disorder”?!!!

“No wonder I have had so many over the years go from antidepressant addiction into pain killer addiction since this edema is such a common reaction to antidepressant use.

“It is NOT the edema that causes all the other issues you see with this woman – the crime and violence – it is is the effects of the drugs! That is what changes behavior and produces the physical damage you see.

“I posted all this on Facebook yesterday. Go read the comments from those who have similar pics to share in a before and after antidepressant scenario. You will see the same!!!”

If they can get people to believe this is an “inherited” “disorder” then they do not have to admit they caused it with the drugs they have given you – thus they are not liable legally. Which means you cannot sue them for doing this to you! That is all this is about! That and bringing in new customers dealing with the same reaction to their medication so that they can “treat” them for years for this “disorder”.

One of my close friends whose experience with Prozac first peaked my interest in the SSRI antidepressants changes so drastically in her appearance that I passed her on the street and had no idea it was her! She went from tall and thin and bubbly to short and fat and bizarre looking and dressing as well. Yes she too had all the bloating you see here.

Not listening to my warning that the cancer she developed on her ear would spread if she did not get off the antidepressants causing it that it would spread, she died a few years later of breast cancer produced by her antidepressants.

Appearance will tell you what is going on in the body! Pay attention to these changes in looks because they will tell you a lot.

This reminds me of another friend who went to a raw food diet and I saw her six months later. So shocked I was by her appearance that I asked, “Helen, how old are you?!”

She said, “I am 52.”

I then asked why she only appeared to be only 35! Of course I knew it was because her body had so little output involved in order to metabolize raw foods to obtain her nutrients as opposed to cooked and processed foods. The raw foods still have the enzymes necessary for metabolism intact. She was conserving energy previously used up in metabolism and thereby reducing the advancing of her aging process.

Have I personally made the change in my own life? No. I regret having to admit that because I know better. I have been at about 70% raw for some time, but have not been able to focus on it enough yet (too many of these antidepressant tragedies to deal with) to make the complete change. I am working on it though.

Please Meet One of the Members of Our Board – Dr. Lorraine Day

Lorraine Day

DR. LORRAINE DAY – ICFDA BOARD MEMBER

I want to make all of you familiar with those on our Board of Directors and our State and various Country directors around the world who work with us here at the International Coalition for Drug Awareness (ICFDA). This is something I should have been doing long before this rather than letting you search it out on your own. You will soon find introductory videos of each of our Board Members and area directors on our website at www.drugawareness.org with a direct link at  www.drugawareness.org/mission/board/.

The following video is a GREAT introduction for my dear friend of many years now, Dr. Lorraine Day who has long served on our Board of Directors.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0DYhyCu3DQY#t=115

Our main connection was our personal battles with cancer. Although we did not know one another at the time we were struggling, we both got rid of our cancers the same way. The only difference was that I did use some of the old Indian herbs as well as going on a slightly stricter diet of ONLY fruit, nuts, and veggies for seven years. In no time I never felt better nor had so much energy!

She lives what she preaches! You will never find Lorraine in her home or anywhere else it seems, without a glass of water in her hand. She is a firm believer in hydration and lives those beliefs. And her healthy living definitely pays off! When I first met her and before we were introduced, I was sure the person in front of me was her daughter and that she would be taking me to her mother. I knew how old Lorraine was at the time, but the woman in front of me had to be at least 20 years younger than that! For additional information on Dr. Day, her own personal website is www.drday.com. If you know anyone with cancer be sure to share this video with them as this is one of Dr. Day’s main issues she deals with.

I have often told my daughter that I need to hang a picture of Dr. Day in my home as a constant reminder to me of all the laws of health she reminds us about in this video. Thank you Lorraine for all you do for so many and thank you for your support in this cause of the terrible mass drugging of humanity with so many deadly antidepressants and other deadly prescription drugs!

DIET AND EXERCISE PRODUCE BEST RESULTS FOR CLINICAL DEPRESSION

depressed girl

DIET AND EXERCISE PRODUCE BEST RESULTS

FOR CLINICAL DEPRESSION

First to follow are the two comments I am responding to. Now you can read the article if you want to hear the drug company marketing plan for antidepressants ONE MORE TIME after hearing it repeatedly for the past two and a half decades or you can get to the crux of the problem we call depression by reading these comments below. In reading the comments you will learn critical information that too few have ever heard about these drugs in the form of a statement by Dr. Candace Pert who was one of the two discoverers of the serotonin binding process which made antidepressants possible….

call c. “I recently learned there are medical conditions which can contribute to depression such as hypothyroidism(low thyroid function). talk with your medical professional about the possibility of your depression having a treatable medical cause.”

Shelly M. “Depression has been around since the beginning of time. It is part of our mortal probation. What is lacking today are the critical thinking skills about life, the limits and the expectation of self-reliance. There is no magic pill. Big Pharma just wants you to “plug in” and pay up. What is really needed is consistent service to others, healthy social interactions and good old fashion physical labor. We have lost our way as a society. Expect to see suicide on the rise.”

Ann Blake Tracy: “You are exactly right Shelly! And call c is correct too. I have found the biggest physical problem with depression is low blood sugar – hypoglycemia. It is epidemic and completely overlooked as too many doctors reach for antidepressants for these patients that only pushes them into a Bipolar or diabetic reaction.

“And I have to disagree with the initial premise that diet and exercise, etc. does not work for clinical depression. According to medical research exercise for half an hour three times a week is EIGHT times more effective than an SSRI antidepressant. And Dr. Candace Pert, who was one of the two scientists who discovered the serotonin binding process which made all these antidepressants possible, stated clearly in Time magazine, Oct 20, 1997 that diet and exercise were the answer to depression as opposed to the SSRI antidepressants she called “monsters” and which she regrets ever having been involved in their birth and development.”

The FDA also now warns that any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant can produce suicide, hostility or psychosis. And these reactions can either come on very rapidly or even be delayed for months depending upon the adverse effects upon sleep patterns when the withdrawal is rapid!
