Diagnosed Autistic at Age 2 After Leaving State “Therapy” Found to Have IQ Higher Than Einstein

Jacob Barnett

Autistic Boy With Higher IQ Than Einstein Discovers His Gift After Removal From State-Run Therapy….Generally over 60% of children diagnosed with Autism are given antidepressants which increase serotonin. Yet elevated serotonin has long been known to be found in Autism and is also known to produce brain damage. Look what happens when a mother follows her heart and allows her son to learn outside the system!!! Watch him! This young man will blow you away! Thank you Kes Lee for sharing.

“Following a diagnosis of autism at age two, Jacob was subjected to a cookie cutter special education system that focused on correcting what he couldn’t do compared to normal children. For years, teachers attempted to convince Kristine Barnett that her son would only be able to learn the most basic of life skills.

“When exposed to the state system of educational therapy, Kristine noticed Jacob would withdraw deeply and refuse to speak with anyone. Even though she found it “terrifying to fly against the advice of the professionals,” she knew in her heart “that if Jake stayed in special ed, he would slip away,” Kristine relates in her memoir, The Spark: A Mother’s Story of Nurturing Genius.

“So began a journey for Jacob that would lead to such unexpected achievement that the whole premise of standardized therapy for this ‘special needs’ child would be blown to bits.

A path of passion and discovery

“After years of frustration and little progress, Kristine made a radical decision in the eyes of the special ed system — she took Jacob out of school and prepared him for kindergarten herself. As described in the New York Daily Times:

“She let him explore the things he wanted to explore. He studied patterns and shadows and stars. At the same time, she made sure that he enjoyed “normal” childhood pleasures – softball, picnics – along with other kids his age.

“I operate under a concept called ‘muchness’,” Kristine said “which is surrounding children with the things they love – be it music, or art, whatever they’re drawn to and love.”

Gotta Love It!!!! Great New Stress Therapy Video!

2015-05-24-19-45-39

Baby Blue with her favorite food – a red pepper!

Thank you for sharing this video Steffan T Bruyns! This is exactly why in the front of my book, Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? – Our Serotonin Nightmare!, I quoted my children who turned to me years ago and asked “Gee Mom, why do people use Prozac when all they need is a puppy?” And this is also why in the beginning of every lecture I give on antidepressants I pull a surprise out of my bag as I introduce my own antidepressant, my little two pound Chihuahua, Baby Blue 🙂  I can testify that Baby Blue has brought far more smiles to people’s faces in her five years than all antidepressants put together have over the decades they have been on the market! That is especially so when she moves and they realize they are looking at a real live dog instead of a stuffed animal. 🙂

And before her it was her uncle Kito who accompanied us to DC to march in front of the White House in August of 2005 wearing one of the bumper stickers Mark Taylor from Columbine designed for the International Coalition for Drug Awareness with the statement: WARNING! Antidepressants Kill!

Now watch this new stress therapy video…you will LOVE it! Just click this link:

Antidepressant-Induced Alzheimer’s and Memory Loss

sandy bem

Scientist Sandy Bem

According to the following NY Times Magazine article had been on a low dose of antidepressants for years before being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She determined upon learning about the diagnosis that she would take her own life before her brain function became so compromised that she no longer could tell who she was.

Is there a connection? Certainly we know there is a connection to the suicidal thoughts with antidepressants, but what about the Alzheimer’s?

Antidepressant-Induced Alzheimer’s and Memory Loss

See the information below and you should easily be able to answer that question. [Also keep in mind that I have heard of a “low dose” of an antidepressant used to describe the maximum dose of the drug…that is a key phrase doctors use to pacifiy a patient’s concerns.]

I think you will see why one of the Facebook groups I just opened is titled Antidepressant-Induced Alzheimer’s and Memory Loss and can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1448649102099201/

The drug would have produced the symptoms of Alzheimers and suicide. PS It was included in my book on these drugs back in 1994 when it first came out. Remember the elevated serotonin which produced the mitral valve prolapse with the serotonergic diet pills Fen-Phen and Redux. The researcher who found the heart damage with Fen-Phen and Redux, Dr. Heidi Connoly from Mayo, said she found that it was the elevated serotonin produced by the drugs that produced the gummy gooey glossey substance that builds up on the valve to keep it from closing properly.

Well since Alzheimers has long been known to be a state of elevated serotonin as well should we not also expect elevated serotonin produced by any serotonergic medication to produce the same gummy, gooey, glossy substance to build up in the brain as they explain happens in Alzheimers? Of course we should!!!

In fact the real reason the serotonergic diet pills were pulled from the market was brain damage rather than the heart valve damage. A year before Wyeth had been told by the FDA of their concerns about possible brain damage with Redux and even though they approved Redux they wanted further research on possible brain damage with the drug. When concerns were brought to light on the heart valve problems the spotlight was also shown on the brain damage issue since it was learned that Wyeth had never followed through with doing that additional research on that. Plus Una McCann from the National Institutes of Health had just published new research demonstrating some of the most shocking brain damage ever with these drugs.

Please see this 2009 post on Utah, long leading the way in America in the use of antidepressants, was found to be #2 in the nation in the incidence of Alzheimers’ as I discuss the case of my dear friends, Robert Redford’s ex-inlaws:

UK Antidepressant De-Ja-Vu: Lives ‘Left in Ruin by Rising Tide of Depression Drugs

Jo Thompson

Jo Thompson

…ended up in hospital on anti-anxiety pills, and wanted to die when she stopped them Photo: Geoff Pugh/Telegraph

JO EXPLAINS HOW ANTIDEPRESSANTS PRODUCE HAPPINESS: Miss Thompson is still suffering. “Three years have passed, but the ringing in my ears has never gone away and I’m so much more anxious than previously about things that would never have once concerned me. But once you’ve survived withdrawal, you are just glad to be alive.”

This whole scenario is like watching happen in the UK with antidepressants what has been happening in the US for the past two and a half decades….

The Telegraph: Lives ‘left in ruin’ by rising tide of depression drugs

More people are being put on the pills but some experts are now warning they do more harm than good. Julia Llewellyn Smith reports

By Julia Llewellyn Smith

7:00AM BST 27 Apr 2014

Twenty years ago, Henry was living a fulfilled life. A happily married father from the Home Counties, his sales career was going well, he had a wide social circle and played football and golf regularly. “I was a conservative, head-down, career-minded person who enjoyed my life,” he says.

But in 1995, a bout of flu left Henry, then 31, exhausted and lethargic. He visited his GP, who told him he was depressed, and prescribed the world’s most popular antidepressant, Prozac. “Everything appeared completely benign — he said depression was a common complaint, the drugs would fix it and then I’d stop taking them.”

No Improvement But Could Not Get Off the Drug

More than a decade later, Henry was far from cured and still taking antidepressants. “None of the drugs I was prescribed made me feel better, and most made me considerably worse. But every time I stopped them, the symptoms of what I thought was depression — but now know were of withdrawal — returned even more strongly, so I went back to the pills.”

By 2009, he was so unwell that he had to give up work. Finally, suspecting the drugs were the cause of his problems, he quit them, only to enter a new hell.
“It was torture. I thought I was going to die, and I didn’t care. For two years, I was in severe physical pain and so weak I lay all day on the sofa. My cognition was severely affected, I was dizzy, with blurred vision, I couldn’t read a bedtime story to my son and couldn’t remember things that had happened just a few seconds previously.”

Henry — who does not want to reveal his last name because of pending legal action against the drugs manufacturers — is just one of an estimated four million people in Britain taking antidepressants, a number that is rising sharply.

UK Antidepressant Prescriptions:  1 in 3 Women, 1 in 10 Men

Last year, 53?million prescriptions were issued for antidepressants in England alone, nearly double the number prescribed a decade ago, and a six per cent increase in the past year. According to recent research, one in three British women and one in 10 men now take the medication, including popular brands such as Prozac, Cipramil [Celexa] and Seroxat [Paxil], at some point in their lives.

But a growing number of experts now believe depression is vastly overdiagnosed and the drugs can cause far more harm than good.

This week, a new organisation, the Council for Evidence-Based Psychiatry (CEP), whose members include psychiatrists, academics and withdrawal charities, is launching, to educate the public about the risks of antidepressants. A keynote speech will be given by Prof Peter Gøtzsche, co-founder of the Cochrane Collaboration, an international, non-profit organisation that examines vast amounts of medical data to help doctors and patients reach informed conclusions about health.

Prof Gøtzsche, author of Deadly Medicines and Organised Crime: How Big Pharma has Corrupted Healthcare, believes that some drug companies have obfuscated the truth about antidepressants, much as tobacco firms attempted to hide the dangers of cigarettes.

Antidepressants Help Very Few People

“My research has led me to the uncomfortable conclusions that these drugs help very few people. They are often being taken needlessly and, in many cases, ruining lives.

“GPs and psychiatrists hand out these drugs for the most unbelievable reasons — when patients are having marital problems, have failed exams, split up with their boyfriends — occasions that would make anyone feel sad and stressed but don’t indicate clinical depression.

“In such cases, and also in truly depressed patients, the patients will feel better anyway with the passing of time, but doctors and patients attribute their recovery to the antidepressants. When they stop the drugs, withdrawal symptoms will often make them feel bad. This is often misdiagnosed as the depression not being cured, so they are told to continue taking the pills, sometimes for life.”

Jo Thompson, 31, an NHS researcher, was prescribed antidepressants three years ago for anxiety about her university final exams. “What I was going through — worrying about the future and choices I was making — was completely normal, in retrospect,” she says.

Her GP wrote her a prescription for lorazepam, a potent benzodiazepine or anti-anxiety drug, which are currently in vogue, with 16.5?million being prescribed in the UK last year, and to which around one million people are thought to be “accidentally” addicted — compared with 300,000 illegal heroin and crack cocaine addicts.

Miss Thompson took the pills but rather than feeling calmer, she went “through the roof”. “Within days, normal life became unmanageable,” she says. “I stopped eating. I’m a very sociable person but I became a hermit. Any sudden sensation terrified me, to the point where I daren’t step into the shower, so I stopped washing. I thought I was going mad.

“In my naivety, it never occurred to me that they might be the drugs’ side effects. They had been given to me by a doctor to make me better, so how could they be making things considerably worse?”

Miss Thompson ended up in hospital. “I was a shivering shell, not sleeping at all,” she says. Increasingly concerned at doctors’ insistence on trying different antidepressants and upping doses, she discharged herself and decided to stop the drugs overnight. As with Henry, and 72 per cent of antidepressant users surveyed by CEP, doctors had given her no warning about the dangers of “cold turkey” withdrawal from benzodiazepines.

“I had no idea of the horrors that awaited me. Every second of the day was hell. I was a zombie, but one that couldn’t sit down. I just paced up and down, and asked my parents if I was going to die. I couldn’t be left alone. In the car, I was overwhelmed with the urge to throw myself out on to the motorway.”

When Miss Thompson later tackled her GP about his lack of advice, he became very defensive. “He just mumbled about not having any training,” she says.
During his time as an NHS psychotherapist, Dr James Davies, co-founder of CEP, was amazed at how freely antidepressants were handed out. “People were being medicated entirely unnecessarily, when they weren’t suffering from mental-health disorders but from understandable, sometimes even necessary, human experience.”

Although official advice is to prescribe antidepressants in conjunction with counselling, in practice long waiting lists mean this rarely happens.

“It’s cheaper and quicker to prescribe antidepressants than investigate the root cause of sadness,” says Dr Davies. “The other problem is mental health practitioners aren’t introduced during training to the growing body of critical research on the drugs.”

WHO Warns Antidepressant Use “Through the Roof”

Antidepressants enjoy global popularity (the World Health Organisation recently warned that antidepressant use in many countries had gone “through the roof”, with one in 10 people in Iceland taking the drugs), but they were invented only by accident, when scientists searching for a tuberculosis cure noticed, in 1952, that sick people became more cheerful after taking the anti-infection drugs they were developing.

Sylvia Plath’s Antidepressant-Induced Suicide

No one understood how the drugs worked, but since mental illnesses were usually tackled through partial lobotomies, brain injections or the electroshock treatment recorded by Sylvia Plath in The Bell Jar, a straightforward pill was hugely appealing. [Keep in mind that Sylvia Plath killed herself on an antidepressant and her husband and biographer both blamed the drug for the suicide. http://www.theguardian.com/books/2001/aug/08/artsandhumanities.highereducation ]

Over the following decades, drug companies explained that depression was caused by a chemical imbalance that drugs could cure. But this theory has never been proven. “These drugs create a chemical imbalance, which is why it is so difficult for patients to get off them,” says Prof Gøtzsche.

Little Evidence Antidepressants Help, Instead Do Harm

In fact, he says, there’s little evidence that antidepressants help anyone. “In cases of mild depression, their effect is small. Nice [the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence] recommends that antidepressants are not routinely prescribed for people with mild depression. But even in severe cases, research shows only 10 per cent of people will feel better than if they used a placebo.

“Some people ask me if I’m worried that by pointing this out people will decide to come off their drugs and become very ill,” he continues. “But I’m not afraid of that, provided patients taper off their drug slowly in collaboration with their doctor. What I’m afraid of is the harm being done to so many healthy people.

“Furthermore, there are case reports in patients and controlled experiments on animals that suggest that the drugs could perhaps cause permanent brain damage; we are currently studying this.”

Miss Thompson is still suffering. “Three years have passed, but the ringing in my ears has never gone away and I’m so much more anxious than previously about things that would never have once concerned me. But once you’ve survived withdrawal, you are just glad to be alive.”

Nine years after he began withdrawal, Henry estimates he is only 80 per cent better and has just returned to work.

“Last year, a psychiatrist told me it’s unlikely I ever had depression at all, I was just run down and needed rest. Because I innocently accepted my GP’s diagnosis, I’ve lost 20 years of my life,” he says.

ANTIDEPRESSANT? Kayelyn Louder autopsy inconclusive after body found of woman who disappeared

Kaylen Louder

Kayelyn Louder

This case is so similar to one of the first cases I worked on with a nurse on Prozac. The last thought she recalled having was that she should get a particular gift for her ex-husband. Next she knew she was being arrested for shoplifting and child abandonment! She had left the house without her purse and phone and her daughter who was luckily sleeping. She learned that she drove to a store, picked up the gift and a bag of popcorn and walked out of the store with no thought of paying for anything and then did not have her purse to pay for it anyway. Then she began calling out frantically for her daughter who she thought was with her.

In REM Sleep Disorder (RBD) patients act out dreams or nightmares in a sleep state – 86% of those being diagnosed with RBD are taking an antidepressant. Tragically with little brain function other than automated behavior 80% of those going into RBD hurt themselves or someone else and it has been known to even result in suicide or murder.

According to her toxicology report: “Her toxicology report indicated nothing fatal or illegal in her system,”

Antidepressants are not illegal. Were those drugs found in her system? If someone had given Kayelyn an antidepressant for her recent depression this could be what happened to her and why police thought she was suffering delusions before she disappeared and was later found dead. She had made 3 bizarre 911 calls.

According to a previous article:

“Police say Kayelyn Louder, missing since Sept. 27, made three odd 911 calls prior to her disappearance, leading police to believe she may be confused and possibly delusional.

“The 30-year-old woman has not been seen since surveillance cameras at her condominium recorded her leaving the building at 5:45 p.m. that day, barefoot in a tank top and shorts, despite the pouring rain. Louder left behind her keys, cellphone and a pet dog that family members say was her constant companion.

“The night before she disappeared, Louder received “disappointing employment news” about a job she was applying for, Murray police officer Kenny Bass said Wednesday.

“Louder called 911 a few minutes before 9 p.m. reporting a “large fight” involving armed individuals in the clubhouse at her condominium, Bass said. When officers arrived, they found a wedding reception and no one with any knowledge of a fight.

“Later that night, Louder called 911 again and hung up. When dispatchers called back, Louder told them she was fine, but the call takers responded she seemed confused and wasn’t making sense, Bass said. Officers went to Louder’s apartment to check on her, but she had left, according to her roommate.

“The next day, Louder made a third 911 call at 8:18 a.m., saying her apartment was being burglarized. Dispatchers kept her on the phone while police were notified.

“She could be heard in the background yelling for people to leave,” Bass said. “Her roommate woke up during this time and came down and told her while she was on the phone that there was nobody in the house, the doors were locked and there wasn’t a problem.”

“When officers arrived, they found no signs of a break-in. Louder’s roommate told police that Louder had been acting strange and “delusional,” Bass said.”

ANTIDEPRESSANTS???? Chris Jenner’s Son Rob Kardashian Gained 100 Pounds This Year

chris jenner

Chris Jenner Worries Son Is Dying

Many in the movie business are in trouble on antidepressants and have been for some time.

Britney Spears shaved her head on Paxil and things went downhill for her from there in losing her marriage and family.

Lindsay Lohan has been court ordered to stay on the Zoloft that caused her to drink uncontrollably which the court in turn issued more and more punishment for and more and more Zoloft as treatement.

Jim Carey has been open about his own Prozac-induced nightmare.

Roseanne Barr has gone through a horrific battle with Prozac as well and both she and Jim have luckily come out on top and have their lives together now.

Glen Campbell suffered the same serious reactions as Lindsay Lohan with the cravings for alcohol on Lexapro and was arrested for DUI. Now he is tragically suffering the long-term effects of antidepressant-induced Alzheimer’s.

Robert Redford’s in-laws, Phyllis and Frank Van Wagenen, were very dear friends of mine who suffered what could have been a very tragic outcome from antidepressants had Redford’s ex-wife Lola not stepped in. While attending the Marti Gras Frank and Phyllis were attacked and robbed. Frank suffered a serious head injury from the attack. Not long after Frank lost five friends within a month – enough for anyone to become depressed over. But antidepressants should NEVER be given to someone with a head injury. Within one week of a doctor giving Frank Prozac he was diagnosed with rapid onset Alzheimer’s and his family told he should be institutionalized. Lola refused and told them to take him off the Prozac. They refused and when Lola said they would take him home and remove him from the drug themselves the facility wished them luck and they did not believe it was possible. This was in 1992 and after only ONE WEEK on Prozac!

Rosie O’Donnell has long suffered the adverse effects of antidepressants after starting on Zoloft ironically after the antidepressant-induced Columbine massacre. Her starting on Zoloft in my opinion was more of a reaction to being dropped cold turkey off the serotonergic weight loss meds, Fen-Phen and Redux – the weight loss drugs pulled from the market due to the brain damage they caused while the world continues to believe the drugs were pulled for heart valve damage.

This is to list only a few of many many many more. So my comment on this situation with Rob Kardashian is this….

After specializing in the adverse effects of antidepressants for a quarter of a century now I would point out that the only thing I know of that produces such rapid weight gain is the use of steroids or the use of antidepressants. And since Rob has all the other side effects that are so common with antidepressants, including cutting off his family, my guess would be that antidepressants are busy destroying yet another life and another family.

Look at the havoc the drugs caused in Rosanne Barr and her family. Thanks heavens Rosanne survived her nightmare and about six years ago on Oprah clearly stated that accusing her parents of abusing her was her “biggest mistake” in life and caused by her medications.

Tragically Phil and Brynn Hartman were not so lucky as to wake up before these drugs took their toll. Among others who did not get that chance were Del Shannon, Robin Williams, Tony Scott to list only a few who have lost their lives to antidepressants while so many others continue to live in the continuous hell of their antidepressant-induced nightmares.

So the family is right in fearing Rob may be dying because antidepressants litterally eat you alive! As if it were not so glaringly obvious that his step father Bruce Jenner is likely also experiencing serious antidepressant adverse reactions which we posted about just last month http://www.drugawareness.org/antidepressants-bruce-jenner-transgender-rumors-continue/, now this situation with Rob for the family to go through? While you hear some about the psychiatric side effects such as suicide and violence, but few are aware of the extremely deadly negative physical effects of these drugs. His doctor should notice this but tragically most doctors are too strung out on the drugs themselves to see what is happening with their patients on them! Medical professionals make up the largest single group I have experiencing the worst side effects on these drugs.

What a shame that profit is worth more in this country than life, healthy family relations, and a peaceful life style! Here is a list of just a few victims of these deadly drugs: www.ssristories.NET

WARNING PROZAC EYES: Homeowner Charged After Shooting Two Breaking Into Home

Harold Williams

Harold Williams

This is a warning for all theives, anyone being attacked in a road rage, confronted by someone in anyway…..if their eyes look like this….RUN!!!!!! Do not tell them you have a gun and want their money, just tell them to have a nice day and disappear as fast as possible! 🙂

What you are seeing here we call Prozac Eyes. It means they are high as a kite on antidepressants and you DO NOT want to know what they may do next!!!!!! (Years ago I had a DEA agent tell me that when he ran into anyone on Prozac he would take several steps back because he never knew what to expect out of them!)

Two young men learned this lesson the hard way this week in North Carolina when Harold Williams (above) confronted them with a gun when they broke into his home. When they told him why they were there and that they had guns, he showed them how well his own gun worked by shooting them both.

Since the man had already been through rehab for drugs, you can pretty much count on the fact that he has been given antidepressants as that is standard treatment in rehabs – just as was the case with Robin Williams only months before he took his life under the influence of Remeron and Levadopa.

And if you are on these medications and see these eyes looking back at you when you look into your mirror you might seriously want to consider weaning safely off your medications!!! PLEASE do not do so without information on how to do so safely – see information below on safe withdrawal.

POWER OF TOUCH MIRACLE – OFTEN STOLEN BY ANTIDEPRESSANTS

POWER OF TOUCH

The Power of Touch Saved This Baby’s Life

There are SO MANY side effects of antidepressants that we never seem to get a chance to discuss because of so many huge tragedies resulting from the drugs daily. This leaves little time to discuss the most common adverse effects that affect so many yet are so very damaging to our lives. Touch is one of those.

Patients and their loved ones have long reported the inability to be touched while on antidepressants. Since Autism is a condition of elevated serotonin (which explains why a mother on antidepressants during pregnancy has a three to four times greater chance of giving birth to an Autistic child) and that is a condition that often includes the not wanting to be touched, this should not be a big surprise that drugs that increase serotonin levels would cause this as well. Many mothers report never being able to bond with their children while taking antidepressants because there is such a lack of attachment. Much of that is due to this inablity to touch.

So I share this amazing story of the power of touch that should help you to understand just how very important and powerful this power of touch is even in restoring life. Click the videos and articles below to see the full story of this amazing miracle for this young family:

XANAX, KLONOPIN, PAXIL: Welcome to Withdrawal Hell!

xanax-withdrawal1

As long as benzos like Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, Dalmane, etc. have been around there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for doctors not to be more aware of the horrific withdrawal associated with these drugs! It was found that in the initial trials of Xanax when tested on humans that 1/3 of those just taking it for the trial period could not get off  the drug because it is so addictive!

But with that thought in mind there is also no excuse for doctors to be completely unaware of antidepressant withdrawal hell. Why do the doctors remain in complete ignorance of this?! They seem absolutely unwilling to listen to their patients tell them about how horrible the withdrawal from antidepressants can be. They are causing so many problems for so many patients by bringing them off all these medications much too abruptly or even cold turkey – a practice dangerous enough that it can result in death from heart attack, seizures, Serotonin Syndrome, etc., not to mention the most dangerous of all, the REM Sleep Disorder in which patients act out their nightmares like Andrea Yates drowning her five children! You can find many more cases listed in this database: www.ssristories.NET

I want to share Brian’s experience with you as he has done such a great job of detailing how horrific this process of withdrawal can be if you do not have the information on safe withdrawal posted below. How sad it is that so many family members of those going through this just do not understand what their loved ones are going through in withdrawal from all these dangerous drugs. Keep in mind that went through this as a young man in his early 30’s so just how much worse is it for an elderly patient to go through?
