MEDICATION: SUICIDAL UTAH WOMAN PRISON BOUND AFTER FATAL FIRE

Yvette Kimber

YVETTE KIMBER

TWO DIE IN FATAL FIRE WHILE ANOTHER WHO JUMPED TO SAVE HERSELF LATER DIED OF INJURIES

This case happened two years ago. Today she was sentenced to 57 1/2 years in prison – basically a life sentence and just today the news reported the following information below indicating medication use. Of course if she was on medication and suicidal and drinking and starting fires (pyromania) and not knowing if she was trying to commit suicide by starting the fire (because she likely cannot remember what she did) and on top of all that living in Prozacland, Utah we can easily assume that all that would add up to the fact that she was on antidepressants at the time of the crime.

The arson took the lives of three of her friends and neighbors at the apartment complex. Two died in the fire and one jumped from the second story in an attempt to avoid the fire and died the following year from those injuries.

“The night of the fire, Kimber called police and said she was suicidal and planned to overdose on medication, a police affidavit said. One minute after her call, firefighters received notice of the fire.

“Kimber told on-scene officers that she fell asleep holding a lit cigarette. She and her boyfriend fought earlier, she said, and she started drinking beer and taking pills, according to the affidavit. She also admitted to smoking marijuana.

“Kimber told police she dropped the cigarette while sitting on the love seat in her living room and looking at a basketball schedule. The cigarette heated up the love seat and a throw pillow caught fire. Kimber then rushed to a neighbor’s home next door to report the fire.

“(Police) asked Yvette if she, because of her suicidal feelings, lit the fire on purpose,” the affidavit states. “Yvette stated she did not know.”

Patients need to know that due to the strong mind altering affects of antidepressants it is generally the brain that goes dead before the body does when one attempts to overdose on these medications. So the chances are you can do all kinds of out of character things before you die from an overdose.

Medical Professionals Killing Others in Murder/Suicides

I have long stated that various types of medical professionals and their family members are largest single group facing serious reactions to antidepressants. With their easy access to medications and their strong belief in them we find a high use among them. One psychiatric nurse out of Iowa said publicly that 75% of the doctors and nurses she worked with were taking antidepressants. She said the drug reps are telling doctors and nurses that they are in stressful professions and the “depression” is going to hit them sooner or later so they may as well get started on antidepressants now to sort of “nip it in the bud” as they say. And apparently they are falling hard for that old sales pitch!

While searching for a particular murder/suicide case online the other day I ran across one case after another, after another, of murder/suicide situations involving medical professionals or family members of medical professionals and thought I would share with you what I see so often…..

Mom Stabs Daughter & Kills Self

Dr. Victoria Vovchik from New City, New York killed herself after allegedly stabbing her seven year old daughter and leaving a gory scene for the girl’s father to find!

Reports say that the mother was obsessed with her baby’s daddy and although they did not live together and he is recently widowed he did co-own the house and was allegedly leading her on.

Officials said the young girl had been stabbed 31 times, including across the throat, and was rushed to Westchester Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition.

Story Below:
The woman who slashed her 7-year-old daughter more than 30 times before killing herself Thursday was a devoted mother who was “obsessed” with the man who fathered the girl and hoped he would marry her one day, a former landlord told The Journal News.

Victoria Vovchik, a 45-year-old podiatrist, slit her throat after stabbing her daughter in an attempt to kill her in the master bedroom of their Quarry Road home, authorities said Friday.

The woman’s death was ruled a suicide Friday by acting Medical Examiner Dr. Laura Carbone.

Her daughter, Ava, was in stable condition at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla on Friday.

Investigators don’t know how long the mother and child remained in the bloody bedroom before they were discovered by Ava’s father, Dr. Kristappa Sangavaram, an anesthesiologist, who called 911 at 1:09 p.m. Thursday.

Before moving to the home in 2010, Vovchik lived in a rented home on Strawtown Road in New City.

Her landlady, Carol Huggins, described her as a devoted mother who was convinced that Sangavaram would marry her someday.

Huggins never saw Sangavaram but said Vovchik was deeply in love with him.

“She was obsessed, and he was just leading her on and on … I was concerned for her,” Huggins said. “She was totally in love, she was hoping that he would eventually be with her.”

Vovchik filled the backyard with expensive playground equipment and enrolled the child in Indian language and dance classes so she would learn her father’s culture, Huggins said.

“She talked about him all the time, and she would not even look at another man,” Huggins said. “When she gave her heart, she gave it forever.

I was concerned for her. I never met this man, but he was supposed to visit her once in a while, but she saw him less and less.

“Victoria would never have done this if she was in complete control of herself. Something terrible must have happened to her emotionally, for her to crack,” she said.

Aside from two self-inflicted incisions to her neck, Vovchik “had no other bodily injuries,” and toxicology results will not be available for several weeks, according to the medical examiner.

nvestigators are trying to figure out what led Vovchik to commit the violence.

“Maybe the little girl can shed some light on what happened for us when she’s healthy enough to talk to us,” Clarkstown police Sgt. Jo Anne Fratianni said. “It’s like putting a piece of the puzzle back together.”

She said police had never been called to the home for any domestic issue.

Sangavaram went to the house he co-owned with Vovchik after the Woodglen Elementary School nurse called him about his daughter’s absence from school Thursday.

Sangavaram, a widower since last year, lives in New Jersey, where he runs a restaurant.

Woodglen’s principal hosted a meeting with parents Friday afternoon. Support staff was in classrooms to help children and teachers.

“It’s a really sad, sad tragic event,” PTA co-president Jessica Fetterman said. “I don’t really know the family. It’s scary that this happened.”

At the meeting, parents discussed how they would respond if their children asked about the stabbing.

They also volunteered to help Ava’s family in any way, but were told to hold off until she was out of the woods, said Joseph Malgieri, Clarkstown school board president.

Richard Weiner, a Montvale, N.J., podiatrist who sold his Fort Lee practice to Vovchik six years ago, said he was shocked by the news of her murder attempt and suicide because he knew her only as pleasant and likable.

“I tried to introduce her to the (Fort Lee) community. She was personable and was knowledgeable in her profession,” Weiner said.

He said she seemed busy whenever he saw her but that she closed her practice last year. She was looking for a group practice to join, he said.

Vovchik may previously have been a nurse, New Jersey records indicate.

She had been licensed to practice podiatry in New York since 1997 and in New Jersey in 2003, records show.

There are recent local cases of women accused of killing their children.

Manuela Morgado of Mamaroneck was accused of killing her 4-year-old son in October and has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.

In 2011, former Spring Valley resident LaShanda Armstrong, 25, killed herself and three of her children when she drove down a Newburgh boat launch into the Hudson River. Her eldest son swam to safety.

Family friends: Suicidal New City woman snapped (3/1/13)

NEW CITY – Friends of the New City woman who attempted to murder her daughter before killing herself have disclosed possible insight into what prompted her actions.
According to police, 45-year-old Dr. Victoria Vovchik, a podiatrist, stabbed her daughter, Ava Sangavaram, in their home on Quarry Drive yesterday. Clarkstown police say the girl’s father, Dr. Kristappa Sangavaram, discovered the bloody scene and called 911 after being notified by a nurse at Woodglen Elementary School that his daughter was not in class.
When officers arrived, they found both mother and daughter in the master bedroom. According to police, Vovchik was dead and the girl was conscious, but suffering from multiple stab wounds. Her throat had also been slashed.
However, family friends told Newsday Westchester that Sangavaram, who was never married to Vovchik, had recently lost his wife and refused to marry Vovchik despite her advances. This, they say, may have caused her to snap.

It is still unclear whether Vovchik’s psychiatric history had an impact of her decision.

Meanwhile, once Ava is healthy enough, authorities say they plan on questioning her to possibly determine a motive in the attack.

A New York mother killed her little boy before attempting to commit suicide after the child’s father reunited with his former wife, according to reports.

The Westchester County woman, caught in a custody battle over her 4-year-old son, killed the child before a failed suicide attempt in her suburban condominium, authorities said.

A dejected Manuela Maria Morgado was found semi-conscious and strangling the child’s dead body when police arrived at her home Monday morning. The police were called by a nervous family member, and found the mother and son Jason inside a room on the third floor, officials said.

Morgado, 46, tried to take an overdose of pills after taking the life of her son, a source told the news media.

Authorities did not say how the mother killed the child. Morgado was charged with second-degree murder, who apparently left suicide notes in the house.

The distraught father, Manhattan sports orthopedist Dr. Timothy Reish, came to the home Monday afternoon after the gruesome discovery by police.

Reish, 43, was involved in what looked like a fairly run-of-the-mill legal battle over the child before the mother’s murderous collapse, officials said.

There was no evidence of a threat to the child during the custody battle, authorities said.

Morgado, after an initial assessment at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, was indicted in Mamaroneck Village Court and jailed pending a court date Thursday. A neighbor said the child and mother were nice people who never bothered anyone in the apartment building. The child’s father has recently reunited with his former wife, according to police.

Pelle Wall, 18, had asked a juvenile court judge to remove his three siblings — ages 16, 13 and 11 — from his father’s home until a criminal investigation surrounding his father is completed.

Pelle’s mother, Uta von Schwedler, was found dead in her bathtub on Sept. 27, 2011. Because of the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death — including the medical examiner not being able to determine if the death was the result of homicide or suicide — Salt Lake police are conducting a criminal investigation. Friends and family members of von Schwedler believe her ex-husband, John Brickman Wall, is the key suspect.

Wall and von Schwedler divorced in 2006, but a bitter custody battle continued until the day she was found dead.

Pelle Wall, who was living in his father’s house at the time of his mother’s death, said in court documents that he was “so fearful for his physical safety around his father he has, on occasion, armed himself with knives.” He moved out of his father’s house when he turned 18 and later filed a petition in court to have his siblings removed from the house, saying he was concerned about their safety and that they were “suffering physical, emotional or development injury or damage.”

GRANDMOTHER KILLS INFANT GRANDDAUGHTER WITH SLEDGEHAMMER AND CARVING KNIFE

GRANDMOTHER KILLS INFANT GRANDDAUGHTER WITH SLEDGEHAMMER AND CARVING KNIFE

Yet another grandmother has taken the life of her grandchild – something I have never seen before the SSRI antidepressants. You can search our database of cases at www.ssristories.drugawareness.org for other cases like this – all involving the use of antidepressants by the suspects.

My posted comment on this news story: “In over two decades of tracking and documenting cases like this one I have yet to see a grandmother kill a grandchild who was not taking an antidepressant at the time. ‘These drugs cause REM Sleep Behavior Disorder where you act out your nightmares. This one certainly does sound like a family’s worst nightmare! It has been documented that 86% of those suffering this disorder are taking an antidepressant and 80% of them are known to hurt themselves or others – including both murder and suicide. Someone needs to check her medications.”

In Oak Lawn, IL Polish speaking grandmother, Alfreda Giedrojc, 61, was left alone briefly Sunday morning with her sleeping six month old grandchild. According to investigators, the baby’s father and grandfather left the home briefly to help another relative who lives across the street when Giedrojc killed the baby.

“The defendant took the victim off of the couch where she had been sleeping and placed the baby on the floor and retrieved a sledgehammer from her closet, which she had placed there the night before,” said Michael Deno, Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney. “The defendant then hit the victim repeatedly in the head and body with the sledgehammer. Since the victim was still crying and moving the defendant went into the kitchen and retrieved a large carving knife. The defendant then picked the victim up, held her, and then slit her throat with the knife.”

Police would not comment on Giedrojc’s mental health nor on a motive for the baby’s murder.

Suspect Dead: Antidepressant Withdrawal: Thursday Afternoon Woman in Capitol Car Chase With Toddler in Car

Antidepressant Withdrawal: Thursday Afternoon Woman in Capitol Car Chase With Toddler in Car Gunned Down by Police

This sounds like it could be yet another case when it is a woman who rammed a barrier at the Capitol Building before going on a high speed chase with police while a toddler was in the car with her. No word yet on the condition of the child who was rushed to a hospital.

The impulsive actions, the high speed chase, the road rage in ramming a barrier, and doing all of this with a toddler in the car also might include suicide by cop or even murder/suicide by cop. We see all of this far too often with antidepressants and have from the beginning. The term “road rage,” “suicide by cop,” “high speed chase” … all seemed to appear after the introduction of Prozac to the market.

We will keep you updated as it progresses as it has just happened.

Update: The woman was  it was yet another medical professional, a dental hygienist this time, with a “history of “mental illness” which almost always means she had been on antidepressants to induce that mental illness before endangering her child as she did this afternoon in this high speed chase with police after ramming a police car. She had a one year old child in the car with her that was not hurt. So was she given on of these drugs for Post Partum depression?

http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/10/03/20805397-woman-shot-and-killed-by-capitol-police-after-chaotic-chase-from-white-house?lite

This is yet another sad and tragic case for this woman and her family. If this was her child there is yet another little one who will be growing up without a mother.

I have long said that the largest single group I have in serious trouble on antidepressants are medical professionals. I have gathered a few cases that have just popped up as I have looked for some other articles in the past week. I should have that list ready for you ASAP

Update #2: If you understand these drugs and their effects these cases are so easy to predict. The latest report is according to ABC News, Carey had a history of mental health issues and suffered from post-partum depression.

Miriam Carey has been identified by authorities as a dental hygienist in Connecticut.

Former boss Dr. Barry J. Weiss told The New York Times that he and his partner fired Miriam Carey from their periodontics practice last year and cited her “temper” but would not go into detail.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/03/miriam-carey-capitol-shooting_n_4040115.html?ir=Crime&ref=topbar

Then the Washington Post reported that she has a sister in Brooklyn who is a nurse and another sister who has been a long time New York City police officer.

She was at home in Connecticut two days ago and no one knew she was in DC and were shocked to learn that. She also had no identification with her.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/miriam-carey-dental-hygienist-at-the-center-of-car-chase-and-shooting-near-the-capitol/2013/10/03/ad805fec-2c83-11e3-b139-029811dbb57f_story.html

Update #3: Friday morning reports surfaced that she thought Obama was stalking her and they found the meds we all expected to be there! (Article directly below) Remember all the false accusations of abuse that come with antidepressants. False Memory Syndrome is a term coined not long after Prozac was introduced to the market and has been a main issue in some high profile cases including that of Kobe Bryant and the Wenatchee, Washington sex ring case where the state had to pay out $100 Million for wrongfully imprisoning 43 people for as much as two years on false allegations made by a 10 year old girl in foster care who had been on first Prozac and recently switched to Paxil.

BREAKING NEWS: “Investigators found two medications in the apartment of Miriam Carey: one used to treat schizophrenia and symptoms of bipolar disorder; the other an antidepressant, a law enforcement source briefed on the investigation told CNN.

“Carey’s boyfriend contacted police in December saying he feared for the safety of their child, who was 4 months old at the time, according to a law enforcement source involved in the investigation. The boyfriend said the woman was acting delusional, claiming the president had placed Stamford under lockdown and that her house was under electronic surveillance, the source said.

“He told police that she was suffering from post-partum depression, was having trouble sleeping and was on medication. Carey underwent a mental health evaluation, said the source, …”

http://on.cnn.com/GCpPANp

Update #4: She had been taking the antidepressant Lexapro and the atypical antipsychotic Risperdone….”Authorities who searched Carey’s apartment in Stamford found discharge papers that listed risperidone, a medication to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, a law enforcement source said. They also found paperwork listing escitalopram, an antidepressant commonly prescribed under the brand name Lexapro, according to the source.”

http://www.cnn.com/2013/10/04/politics/u-s-capitol-shooting/index.html?sr=fb100413capitolshootmeds1045p

Update #5: In an interview by Fox 5 out of DC we learn she was in medically supervised withdrawal which will help you understand why the International Coalition for Drug Awareness has since the mid 90’s warned of extreme caution in withdrawal indicating that it should be extremely gradual to avoid serious reactions and a warning now goes out with all our posts. Few doctors know what they are doing in safely withdrawing patients from antidepressants as they are always trying to withdraw patients far too rapidly than they should which the FDA warns can cause suicide, hostility and/or psychosis:

“Her family said she had been suffering from postpartum depression with psychosis but was not dangerous.

“Carey-Jones said her sister had been on medication for postpartum depression but was being taken off the drugs under medical supervision.

“They told her she could get off medication,” Carey-Jones said, adding, “There were no indications she was unstable.”

George Zimmerman’s Wife Doubts His Innocence in Martin Killing After Being Attacked by Husband

Shellie Zimmerman

Shellie Zimmerman

Only weeks ago I posted about George Zimmerman being on Adderall when Trayvon Martin was killed and that the drug could have produced paranoia where there was little to no reason for it and triggered the extreme violence of the attack…leading to a death that could have been prevented. Well now George Zimmerman has attacked his own wife and she is doubting his innocence after seeing this violence in her husband where he threatened her and punched her father in the nose. She has now filed for divorce.

Am I surprised? Not in the least! The adverse reactions from the medications will continue to worse as time goes on and more and more meds are added on as they are prescribed to treat the adverse reactions he is having to the first one. I would expect that antidepressants were added to his medications after this incident with Trayvon Martin and in Zimmerman’s dealing with the stress of the court case. Of course this would make him more of a powder keg than he would have been while just on the Adderal which has been found in court to produce impulsive cases of murder.

His wife, Shellie Zimmerman, reported to the Today Show this morning that her husband had “a look in his eyes that I’ve never seen before.” And she is wondering now who she is married to – a statement that many, many mates of those on these deadly medications have made repeatedly over the past several decades. And most mates have seen that look in the eyes and know to be frightened out of their minds when they see it….that blank determined stare that brings on serious adrenalin rushes to help you exit quickly!

“Although cops reported that no gun was found after they responded to the dispute, she still believes her husband was packing.

“I absolutely stand by my story,” she said. “I did not see a gun. But … I know my husband. I saw him in a stance and a look in his eyes that I’ve never seen before.”

“This person that I’m married to, that I’m divorcing, I’ve kind of realized now that I don’t know him,” she told Matt Lauer on Thursday. “And I really don’t know what he’s capable of.”

“…this revelation in my life has really helped me to take the blinders off.”

SLC Man Arrested for Plot to Kill as Many as Possible in SLC Mall & Sugarhouse Movie Theater

City Creek

City Creek Mall

ANTIDEPRESSANTS??? So sure am I on this one that I hesitate to even put question marks after the question about antidepressants being involved in this case!

Jack Harry Stiles, 42, is being held on a $1 Million bond after first telling an officer at a hospital that he was planning to kill as many as possible in a downtown mall and Sugarhouse movie theater on the anniversary of his mother’s death. He would “randomly kill people until he runs out of ammunition.” And he planned to set off a bomb under a city bus or Trax train, had mapped out both locations, had detailed plans, guns and ammunition, ect. plus of course a “history of mental illness.”

All those are clues and add to that the fact that he lives in “Prozacland” which everyone calls Utah where more antidepressants are used than just about anywhere else as they have led the way in use for two decades. How you lose your mother and not get on an antidepressant in Utah would be the real question here.

When these things are planned on the anniversary of a personal tragedy it is often indicative of the person going into REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD) and acting out their recurring nightmares. Because antidepressants repress REM sleep they are known to produce both psychosis and RBD. In fact they are the leading common denominator in this diagnosis being found in 86% of the RBD cases – this most violent of sleep disorders where patients are known to commit both murder and suicide in a sleep state with 80% hurting themselves or others.

So would you like to take a guess where my daughter, son-in-law and four grandchildren were planning on going this evening? You guessed it! That same movie theater! Would you also like to guess how many times I have warned them about going out to public places such as this in SLC? I think it has only been every time they have gone somewhere like this. Hopefully this has been close enough to home to convince them to get out of town now! But the problem is finding a safe place anywhere anymore with the widespread use of these drugs in our world.

Yale: 250,000 Yearly Hospitalized for Antidepressant-Induced Psychosis

With so many on these drugs and on the verge of going psychotic on them few places are safe any longer! Remember that researchers at Yale in 2001 found that 250,000 yearly were found in general hospital psych wards to have gone psychotic due to an antidepressant. Knowing how rare it is for a general doctor to catch these cases of antidepressant-induced psychosis the researchers pointed out that the actual figure of those going psychotic on antidepressants should be expected to be far higher than that quarter of a million per year figure. Is the figure double, triple, quadruple? Will we ever know?

How Many More Do Not Make It To A Hospital?

Obviously no one noticed the Trazadone induced psychosis in the Navy Yard shooter in time to get him into a psych ward and no one got James Holmes into a psych ward before he shot everyone at the Aurora theater last year. And no one noticed the antidepressant-induced psychosis in 68 out of 70 school shooters before they began shooting. (See list of school shootings & antidepressant involved in video format here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpFoivbZH1o&feature=youtu.be and a written list can be found here: www.drugawareness.org/ssri-nightmares/school-shootings )

And how many more are out there about to go psychotic on their medication or in withdrawal from their medication when it takes so little to trigger the psychosis? The FDA has warned that any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant, whether increasing or decreasing the dose, can cause suicide, hostility, or psychosis. So that would be anyone starting or stopping an antidepressant without weaning VERY gradually up or down on them. It would also be anyone forgetting to take their pills for a day or two. And it would be anyone switching from one antidepressant to another because you would double your chances by going abruptly off one and starting abruptly on another. All of these scenarios carry a very dangerous potential for a psychotic break induced by the use of an antidepressant.

To better help you to understand this antidepressant-induced violence and psychosis I refer you to a section of my testimony before the FDA in their 2004 hearing on antidepressants and suicide:

www.drugawareness.org/dr-ann-blake-tracys-september-13-2004-to-the-fda/

The Problem: Low Serotonin Metabolism, Not Low Serotonin

“For decades research has shown that impairing serotonin metabolism will produce migraines, hot flashes, pains around the heart, difficulty breathing, a worsening of bronchial complaints, tension and anxiety which appear from out of nowhere, depression, suicide – especially very violent suicide, hostility, violent crime, arson, substance abuse, psychosis, mania, organic brain disease, autism, anorexia, reckless driving, Alzheimer’s, impulsive behavior with no concern for punishment, and argumentative behavior.

“How anyone ever thought it would be “therapeutic” to chemically induce these reactions is beyond me. Yet, these reactions are exactly what we have witnessed in our society over the past decade and a half as a result of the widespread use of these drugs.

“In fact we even have a whole new vocabulary as a result with terms such as “road rage,” “suicide by cop,” “murder/suicide,” “going postal,” “false memory syndrome,” “school shooting,” “bi-polar” – every third person you meet anymore – along with the skyrocketing rates of antidepressant-induced diabetes and hypoglycemia.

“Can you remember two decades ago when depressed people used to slip away quietly to kill themselves rather than killing everyone around them and then themselves as they do while taking SSRI antidepressants?

Excess Serotonin Produces Extreme Violence

“A study out of the University of Southern California in 1996 looked at a group of mutant mice in an experiment that had gone terribly wrong. These genetically engineered mice were the most violent creatures they had ever witnessed. They were born lacking the MAO-A enzyme which metabolizes serotonin. As a result their brains were awash in serotonin. This excess serotonin is what the researchers determined was the cause for this extreme violence. Antidepressants produce the same end result as they inhibit the metabolism of serotonin.”

WARNING: In sharing this information about adverse reactions to antidepressants I always recommend that you also give reference to my CD on safe withdrawal, Help! I Can’t Get Off My Antidepressant!, so that we do not have more people dropping off these drugs too quickly – a move which I have warned from the beginning can be even more dangerous than staying on the drugs!

The FDA also now warns that any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant can produce suicide, hostility or psychosis. And these reactions can either come on very rapidly or even be delayed for months depending upon the adverse effects upon sleep patterns when the withdrawal is rapid! Antidepressant Cases of Kidnap, Rape, Murder, and Canabalism of Adults and Children

Geoffrey Portway

Geoffrey Portway

Man Pleads Guilty to Plan to Kidnap, Rape, Then Kill & Eat Children

This case is a tough one to even read about, but these cases are real and have been happening since the introduction of Prozac to the market and cannot be ignored. If you look at the picture above you will see the “Prozac Eyes” I have spoken of before. Although I will need to do some investigating to find a mention of the drugs – which you need to know I have not yet done, but I do want to discuss these types of cases where we do know which antidepressant was involved so you become aware to watch for this.

Geoffrey Portway plead guilty to distributing child pornography and planning to kidnap a child. It has also been revealed that he planned to rape, kill and eat children. Portway is a citizen of the UK, but was living in Worcester, Massachusetts at the time of his arrest. The arrest came after a two-year federal investigation into pedophile rings.

In a search of his home officers found a torture dungeon in the basement which contained handcuffs, knives, bondage tools, castration devices, two freezers, a cage, and a child-sized coffin. The cage and coffin had restraints and locks.

Update on case above:

Sweeney said Portway had a “troubled life” after realizing at a young age that he was gay. Feeling as though his father and his peers didn’t accept that, he began to retreat into a fantasy world, Sweeney said….Sweeney said Portway had a history of mental health problems, dating back to when he was in middle school. [Translated that generally means he had been medicated starting at that point.] Portway expressed his own desire to be eaten as a young child, he said.

From an online chat Portway was found to have said: “”I want to eat … the two boys you will bring me,”…. “Perhaps not today, but it will happen. That is all I live for. … I am serious. It is the only thing that gets me up in the morning.”

Jeffrey Dahmer

Jeffrey Dahmer

As you look at the first case let me remind you that Jeffrey Dahmer was on Prozac. If you have forgotten who Jeffrey is Google him so you never forget one of the most infamous serial killers. Jeffrey was also gay and killed 17 young men. In a televised court hearing he stood before a judge and requested that when he died he wished for someone to examine his brain to discover what was wrong with it because he had no idea why he had killed young men, had sex with their corpses, butchered them, and ate them. When I heard his statement there was enough about what he said that was familiar enough that I knew it was a case I had to look into to see if an antidepressant was involved.

Yes, I did learn he was on Prozac. But add to the Prozac, as another contributing factor, his mother was on 23 pills daily for a seizure disorder while pregnant with him. Considering his exposure to mind altering drugs, even during the formation of his brain, I do not believe he had much of a chance to make it through life normally.

Kip Artz

Kevin Lloyd Artz (Kip)

In another case in 1999 in Jackson, MI, Kevin Lloyd Artz (Kip), while in abrupt withdrawal from Prozac, decapitated his wife, placed her head in a cardboard box on his neighbor’s back porch, dismembered the body and cooked it for two days at the family taco stand. Kip had developed a brain tumor while on Prozac and in order to do surgery to remove the tumor the doctors took him abruptly off Prozac  and then released him to go home only three days after the surgery.  This happened a only a day or two after coming home from the hospital.

In 2005 the FDA issued a warning that any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant, whether increasing or decreasing the dose, could produce suicide, hostility or psychosis. Tragically that warning came far too late for Kip Artz and his wife.

Kevin Underwood

Kevin Underwood

Not long before killing 10 year old Jamie Rose Bolin, Kevin Underwood, 26 wrote, “”I’ve been really bad again lately. I need to have the doctor write me a prescription for more Lexapro or something, and start taking that again….For example, my fantasies are just getting weirder and weirder. Dangerously weird. If people knew the kinds of things I think about anymore, I’d probably be locked away. No probably about it, I know I would be.”

Then he made a statement most who have been on an antidepressant can relate to: “Pretty much the only time I believe in God is when I want to blame Him for something. Or, when I’m really depressed, to cry and beg him to make me better, to make whatever is wrong in my brain go away, so that I can live like a normal person. That’s all I want in life, is to be able to live like a normal person.”

Six weeks after starting back on Lexapro is when Kevin suffocated his young neighbor Jamie, and then had sex with her corpse and also had plans to eat her body. He was arrested before he could do that. For additional information I recommend you read the interview I did on this case with the local newspaper.

http://ssristories.drugawareness.org/archive/show60aa.html?item=166

My Interview on Coast to Coast June of 2001

Then in the summer of 2001 I did a show with Ian Punnett on Coast to Coast AM radio. The show initially started discussing the Yates family tragedy in Texas that had just occurred with Andrea drowning their five small children while she was under the influence of two antidepressants, Effexor and Remeron, both at maximum dose and both with drastic changes in dose just a day before the killings. During the show we somehow got on the subject of what sexual side effects are produced by antidepressants and discussed nymphomania briefly.

After that show someone began posting on the internet that they wanted me dead for what I was saying about the dangers of antidepressants. The reason for this he stated was that if it were not for Prozac he would never have known that God wanted him to have sex with children! He then stated that he had a friend who also “loved” little children and Paxil really helped him to realize that. He then went on to encourage all those who thought they “loved” little children to run right out and get a prescription for one of these antidepressants.

I think he must have been arrested after he faxed one of those statements to a business in Wisconsin and the police there called me about it because there were no more reports after that. Anyway you need to be aware that there is research available that links elevated serotonin levels to pedophilia as well as the violence. In fact no one needs to look past the prescription bottle for an antidepressant to learn where all of these female teacher molestations of male students are coming from!

The Physicians Desk Reference states that antidepressants can cause mania, psychosis, abnormal thinking, paranoia, hostility, aggression, agitation, confusion, amnesia, abnormal dreams, sleep disorders and a host of other adverse neuropsychiatric effects. Withdrawal, especially abrupt withdrawal, can also cause these same adverse effects.

TRAZADONE: Update: 13 Dead in Washington DC Naval Yard Shooting

Aaron Alexis

Aaron Alexis

TRAZADONE: 13 Dead in Washington DC Naval Yard Shooting

This morning the New York Times released the fact that over the past month Aaron Alexis has been on the antidepressant, Trazadone (Desyrel), given to treat insomnia. (See quotes below.) Of course I am not finished asking questions. I want to know what he was on before this that may have induced his serious problems with insomnia. Was that yet another antidepressant? Was he in withdrawal from an antidepressant before the Trazadone which withdrawal can cause terrible insomnia and then magnify the reactions with another antidepressant added to that? How many times had he been on and off an antidepressant? Considering the way the military hands them out like candy and stops them abruptly … the options are endless. Considering also that he had quite a supply of the drug he could have attempted to overdose the night before in an impulsive suicide attempt. That can also be the case when it turns into a shooting like this because the brain toxicity seems to hit before the toxicity that would bring death.

“On Aug. 23, Mr. Alexis went to Veterans Affairs hospitals in Providence, where he had been working as a contractor, complaining of insomnia but did not say that he was hearing voices, according to a senior federal official. Mr. Alexis said he could not sleep for more than a few hours. Doctors there prescribed him an antidepressant pill commonly prescribed for insomnia, Trazodone, the official said.

“Five days later, Mr. Alexis went to a Veterans Affairs hospital in Washington, where he had traveled to work on a job at the navy yard. Mr. Alexis, who had not been given many Trazodone pills in Providence, said to the medical personnel in Washington that he was still having trouble sleeping and the doctors prescribed him more Trazodone, said the official.

“In that meeting, Mr. Alexis told the medical personnel that he was not using drugs, did not have suicidal thoughts, was not depressed or particularly anxious, and was not having nightmares, the official said.”

Keep in mind that Trazadone, also known as Desyrel, is the same antidepressant the Unibomber , Ted Kaczynski, was taking at the time of the bombings that killed three and seriously injured others. Considering the reports of Ted being in LSD experiments when he was younger, an antidepressant would have been an extremely poor choice for him since antidepressants are known to produce LSD flashbacks.

The following is my original post that came out the day after the shooting:

NAVY YARD SHOOTING2

ANTIDEPRESSANT EVIDENCE: 13 Dead in Washington DC Naval Yard Shooting

Shots rang out this morning only blocks from the White House in Washington, DC. When they stopped 13 people were dead including the shooter, 34 year old Aaron Alexis. And first thing this morning I posted on our Facebook page along with the story the question “Antidepressants?”

We now as much as have that answer from Aaron’s father in an interview with police over a 2004 incident Aaron had where he blacked out and shot out the tires of some construction workers parked next to his home. He had suffered false accusations toward these workers which is common with antidepressants and then blacked out when he became violent – also common with antidepressants:

“Detectives later spoke with Alexis’ father, who lived in New York at the time, who told police Alexis had anger management problems associated with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and that Alexis had been an active participant in rescue attempts on September 11th, 2001.”

“Following his arrest, Alexis told detectives he perceived he had been “mocked” by construction workers the morning of the incident and said they had “disrespected him.” Alexis also claimed he had an anger-fueled “blackout,” and could not remember firing his gun at the victims’ vehicle until an hour after the incident.

“Alexis also told police he was present during “the tragic events of September 11, 2001 and described “how those events had disturbed him.”

As I have said so many times before “Anger Management” is a given for a prescription for antidepressants. If you are not already on them to produce the anger management problem you will soon have a prescription for an antidepressant which they seem to always hand out along with the diagnosis.

The prescribing of antidepressants doubled with 9/11 and with this young man actively working to rescue people during the 9/11 tragedy I would place my bets on him being first medicated at that point with an antidepressant. That likely led to the black out he suffered triggered by anger. (Most all of you who have been on an antidepressant can relate to the adrenalin kicking in with no way to stop it – the brakes are gone under the influence of these drugs.) The blackouts are common.

I really have little question about what triggered this attack. About the only question I would have is how often had he gone off and back on the antidepressants over the years. Each time the reactions become worse.

LARIAM: The Deadly Anti-Malaria Drug May Have Contributed to Bales Afghan Massacre

Robert Bales

Guilty of Afghan Massacre – Staff Sgt Robert Bales

Says, “I don’t know why”

In March of 2012 Staff Sgt Robert Bales ran into an Afghan village in the middle of the night and shot 22 innocent citizens, killing 16 of them including small children. He has just been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Why did he do this? Although he admitted he did it he still does not know why.

In July the FDA warned FINALLY that Mefloquine [Lariam], an anti-malaria drug used for years by U.S. troops and some civilians heading to tropical hot spots, can cause long-term neurological damage and serious psychiatric side effects, according to the Food and Drug Administration even though suicides and psychosis from the drug have been reported to them for almost two decades. In fact Lariam has many similarities to the antidepressant Prozac. The attorney for Robert Bales said his client took Lariam and that this information will likely be raised at his sentencing.

Yet amazingly at his sentencing no medical experts were called to testify and no information on any medications was entered into testimony even though they had 10 experts set to testify! His attorney said they decided it would just end up being a war of the experts – a he said, she said that jurors would not want to go through.

Say what?! All mitigating circumstances in a case should be entered whether it is pleasing to anyone or not. Everyone involved in this tragedy need answers. And the public needs answers for public safety issues. If a medication is causing wild shooting sprees seems we ought to know that, wouldn’t you think?

In 2002, Robert Bales was charged with criminal assault which occurred in a Tacoma-area hotel room. He paid his fine and then completed court-mandated anger-management counseling. Once again we hear “court ordered anger management” – the same place Eric Harris and most likely Dylan Kleebold also, got their antidepressants. So the question would be which antidepressant was Robert Bales given when he attended anger management or if he was already in the military at that point which antidepressant had they already put him on that led to the assault? Or did they wait to medicate him with antidepressants until he went to the middle east?

One other very important point is that antidepressant should never be given to those who have had head injuries. Wellbutrin’s package insert gives the most warning on this, but it should be a standard warning for all antidepressants. Psychiatrist, Dr. Jay Seastrunk, has long been adamant about this warning for antidepressant users with head injuries stating the injury would produce a kindling effect for seizure activity leading to a higher rate of serious adverse reactions to antidepressants.

Sgt Bales traumatic brain injury was serious enough that he also lost part of his foot in the incident as well.

Here are some excerpts from the following articles you help you see what happened to him and if you are aware of all the antidepressant side effects you can see the reactions clearly indicating these drugs were likely involved as well:

“… he began suffering headaches after his second deployment to Iraq in 2007. He said he’d become angry for the slightest reason, such as having to wash dishes….Bales said he turned to alcohol and sleeping pills.” (Headaches, anger outbursts and cravings for alcohol are all side effects of antidepressants. And antidepressants have long been prescribed as sleeping pills.)

“Bales said when the feelings intensified after he returned home in 2010 after his third deployment, he sought counseling for a month and a half at a local clinic. But he soon stopped attending, he said.

“I didn’t believe it was helping me.”

When he received orders for his fourth deployment, this time to Afghanistan, in late 2011, “I didn’t want to go,” Bales said.

He tried to transfer to a recruiter’s job, he said, but missed a deadline.

Here you see his paranoia builds escalating to hallucinations where he thought he was seeing signals coming from these homes. He thought they were the enemy obviously which is temporary insanity and should have been introduced into evidence:

“While deployed, Bales said his anger and fear escalated at the remote Camp Belambay, as did his drinking and use of drugs. He described flying into rages and growing increasingly paranoid.

“I saw threats everywhere,” he said. “I saw IEDs all the time … Looking back on it now, it’s different. It was just me.”

“The night before the massacres, Bales testified, he perceived seeing light signals being flashed between the two Afghan villages.”

Considering how many of our troops are being “medicated” the miracle is that there are not more of these tragedies.

UPDATE: Bales was taking an antidepressant at the time. According to his wife they were both taking an antidepressant.

ANTIDEPRESSANTS???? GEORGIA SCHOOL SHOOTING HAS ALMOST 100% CHANCE!

GA school shooting

GEORGIA SCHOOL SHOOTING

This school shooting/violence incident sounds more like a suicide by cop than a plan to shoot up a school. The 19 year old boy said, I’m not here to harm any staff or any parents or students. He said he wanted to speak to a police officer.” And “He said that he didn’t have any reason to live and that he knew he was going to die today,” Tuff said, adding that Hill told her he was sure he’d be killed because he’d shot at police officers.

Here is the comment I posted: It is not the media giving these shooters the idea of taking a gun to school it comes in their so called “medications”. I have been an expert called in on many of these school shootings over the past two decades because out of those we have tracked 67 were on antidepressants and only 2 were not.

We have a database of all the cases documented for anyone to see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpFoivbZH1o&feature=youtu.be

We also have a good Christian boy, working on getting his Eagle Scout, who in a video tells his story of taking a gun to school and holding his class hostage for 45 minutes. http://www.drugawareness.org/recentcasesblog/why-i-took-a-gun-to-school-1 He had to be told what he did because to this day he still has no memory of it due to the effect of the antidepressants. For him the drugs induced a sleep disorder called a REM Sleep Behavior Disorder where you act out nightmares. Of those diagnosed with this dangerous disorder 86% are taking antidepressants.

Guns are NOT the problem!
