I do not know what happened back then, but a man with 4 wives back then who does drugs, does seem like a person with a personality disorder. Narcissists are capable of molesting their own children (book, Malignant Self Love.) People with Cluster B personality disorders are more likely to do what they want with no care about what is right or wrong to gratify themselves. Besides that, he is a celebrity, and may feel above the rules that regular people have to abide by.

My opinion is that she could be telling the truth. Mental disorders are scary for the families that they affect, and can put innocent children in danger.

If she brought it up while he was about to die, it could be because she was no longer scared of the repercussions that would come from him. I think that is good timing from a person who has had a hard life, and needing to clear her mind of the past.

I also think that if it is true, she needs to get treatment mentally, and completely stop using drugs as a part of her treatment. That would further convince me she is telling the truth.

My borderline husband could surely convince others that is a normal respectful person, but those of us who live with him know that he has issues. Outsiders really can't be a judge on this. Again, the 4 wives to me says something is wrong with him. He was possibly empty, and perpetuating a cycle of addictions to soothe his ever enduring emotional pain.

Or maybe it is all made up. I am not the judge, but I seriously doubt it.
