Zoloft & Wellbutrin: Seven Years Ago Today Officer Tom Fort Stepped Into Heaven

Suicidal & homicidal ideation are both listed side effects of antidepressants. What does that mean in reality? As one man put it…”After taking Zoloft for only three days I wanted death more than I wanted a new Ferrari…but I did not want it for just me, I wanted it for everyone around me! I wanted to get all my friends together so we could all die together!”
Did Tommy or any of the thousands upon thousands of others suffering this side effect of suicidal ideation “choose” to take their lives? NO!!! Tommy confirmed this when he  returned from the grave to plead with his mother, “Mom Please Help Me! I didn’t mean to do this!”
So on this anniversary of his death I repeat Officer Tom Fort’s plea to please help his mother, Elaine, share his message with the world!

Tommy’s Story by his mother Elaine Billings:

My son, Tommy didn’t just pass away ( that sounds so peaceful) it was anything but peaceful. My son committed SUICIDE that day! Why? Because he was given an antidepressant by the name of ZOLOFT! His mental disorder proclaimed by this doctor was, “ANXIETY”! I would certainly like to know, when did ANXIETY become a death sentence????

September 8, 2011 Thursday morning, I looked out my dinning room window, and watched my son mowing his lawn. I was smiling and thinking how lucky I was. Tommy and his family had moved back to our home town and as luck would have it, a house across the street went on the market and he bought it. I was just smiling away, and I said to myself, call Tommy up later and see if they want to come over for dinner tomorrow night. By now, you realize I didn’t get a chance to make that phone call!

As told to me by his wife Tina, Tommy woke up that morning rested, and in a happy frame of mind. He made a couple of phone calls to friends. One to meet the next day for lunch, and the other for lunch the following Monday. These conversations show intent to being alive and well. That morning Tina left, to go out with her mother, and Tommy stayed home with his 11 year old daughter and his 9 year old son. At some point that morning, Brett asked his dad if he would go pick up a friend for him to play with Tommy said yes, and went and got him. Later that day, Morgan asked the same, would he go pick up her friend and Tommy said yes. I also, learned on his way down the road, one of Tommy’s friends was driving up the road, and he told Tina, that Tommy did what he always did when passing a friend in their cars. He blinked his car’s head lights and gave a wave and smile.

After that point something sudden, and terrible happened to Tommy’s mind. Instead of getting his daughter’s friend, he drove his car to a downtown parking lot. He parked his car, retrieved his gun from his car’s trunk. He got back into the driver’s seat and putting the gun to his head, he pulled the trigger!! My first born child, my only son, was DEAD! For the life of me, I couldn’t understand how such a happy man who LOVED life, his family, job and friends could do something like this to himself.

A few nights after his death, I was sitting in my bedroom, and he came to me he said, “Mom help me!” “I didn’t mean to do this!” I called my daughter in-law the next day and asked her if Tommy was taking any medications? She said, yes, Zoloft and Wellbutrin. That is when, I started to investigate to see if these antidepressant drugs, could have been the cause of my son’s death. What I learned was staggering and frightening.

The Black Box Warnings

In Zoloft the following symptoms have been reported. 1. Anxiety 2.Agitation 3. Panic Attacks 4. Insomnia 5. Irritability 6. Hostility 7. Aggressiveness 8. Impulsivity 9. Akathisia 10. Hypomania and 11. Mania, in adults and pediatric patients. Although a casual link between the emergence of such symptoms has not been established there is concern that such symptoms maybe precursors to emerging of “SUICIDALITY” The Black Box Warning goes on to say, short-term placebo-controlled trials of antidepressant drugs increase the risk of suicidal thinking and behavior in children, adolescents, and young adults, 24/25 years old and younger. My son, was 42 years old.

When he restarted these drugs, in less than two weeks, he was DEAD. He is not the only adult who had died by SUICIDE on these and all Psychotropic drugs. The Pharmaceutical Companies and Scientific evidence suggests that depression and certain anxiety disorders may be caused by a “Chemical Imbalance” in the brain. Yet, there is no blood test, x-ray, MRI that can show this to be true. Psychiatrist can’t predict what adverse side effects you might experience because not one of them knows how their drugs work.

Another paper I have read said, Common and well-documented side effects of psychiatric drugs include; 1. Psychosis 2. Hallucinations 3. Depersonalization 4. Suicidal Ideation 5. Heart Attacks 6. Stroke and sudden death. There are many damaging effects on humans, besides what I have listed here. A very serious problem is withdrawal symptoms, this needs to be done with a doctor who is very familiar with the debilitating side effects of withdrawal. Many people are physically damaged, and will have a lifetime of pain.

If you are asking yourself, why isn’t this information getting out to the general population? May I suggest that the Pharmaceutical Company’s have deep pockets. They advertise their drugs on the major TV networks, also in magazines, newspapers and other print forms. If they get sued, they more than likely settle out of court with some sort of gag order’s in place. GP’s are writing the prescriptions, and many rely, on what the drug reps. are telling them about the SSRI Drugs and all the other Psychotropic Drugs on the market. Drug reps. get paid and bonus’s made by, the amounts of their particular Psych Drugs that are getting filled for the paying customer, us!

My advice is heed; “THE BLACK BOX WARNINGS!” Ask for full disclosure, go home and research the drug before you take it. There are plenty of Professional people out here, who absolutely know the dangers of Psych Drugs and you can friend them on the Internet. Please do, because I know what the SSRI Drugs did to my son first and foremost, and also to our entire family. And me Tommy’s mom, I am never going to be the woman I was before my son’s SUICIDE! I will have a lifetime of grief, because he shouldn’t have died, but because of Big Pharma’s greed! One more warning from me, Stop Drugging Our Children! Putting them into a system, that will do nothing but harm them in the long run!!

FL Shooter Medicated for Years – Mother Works for FDA, is PhD in Toxicology

David Katz’s Mother, Elizabeth Katz, Works for the FDA with a PhD in Toxicology

David Katz’s Parents & Family: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

As has been made public David Katz has a history of antidepressant & antipsychotic use along with several stints in psych hospitals throughout his young life. On top of that we have just recently learned that his mother is a toxicology with the FDA!

“More specifically, the records state: “Elizabeth (Katz), who has a Ph.D. in toxicology, is employed by the United States Food and Drug Administration…” Her bio on FDAZilla says that she is from Silver Spring, Maryland.”

The Florida Shooting Takes Me Full Circle

This case takes me full circle from the 1992 suicide of Marc Pizzuto of Columbia, Maryland, whose case is featured in the Prologue of my book Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? Our Serotonin Nightmare right back to Columbia, Maryland also home of the latest Florida shooter David Katz. See the excerpt of the prologue from my book below on the Wesbecker case & on Marc Pizzuto’s case below…and there was another case I worked on right next door to Columbia in Ellicott City in 2004 where Ryan Furlough, a young man on Effexor, poisoned his best friend during a sleep over. Here is a link to that case: (http://ssristories.net/archive/show2b9a.html?item=250)

So the obvious question is: As a toxicologist, how did his mother not see this coming?

David Katz’s mother works as a toxicologist for the FDA and she did not even realize how toxic her own son was to lead him to this action?!!! This is the perfect example of just how completely clueless the world is to the extreme brain toxicity & the lack of warning given to patients & their families when it comes to the SSRI antidepressants and the serotonergic antipsychotics!

How “homicidal ideation” warning was added to Effexor

This scenario reminds me of the 2002 Effexor-induced mass murder/suicide in Ardmore, PA which moved the manufacturer to add “homicidal ideation” as a warning to their antidepressant Effexor – one of the two antidepressants Andrea Yates was on at maximum dose of both drugs when she drowned her five children.

In this PA case the husband took the microphone at church on a Sunday evening to accuse his wife publicly of having an affair with her best friend’s husband – all a delusion brought on by the toxic effects of the antidepressant.  The police had to be brought in to get him down from the podium. (http://ssristories.net/archive/show2ee9.html?item=1925)

How Does a Serotonergic Agent Produce Psychosis?

Now why of how would an antidepressant produce hallucinationsor psychosis? When these drugs increase serotonin they gradually take those who cannot clear all that serotonin out quickly enough to keep from preventing the same type of psychotic break that LSD or PCP would produce. This happens because those two drugs, once prescription drugs which are now illegal, mimic the neurotransmitter, serotonin in the brain. So as antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics increase serotonin you get the same end result.

Now how does this case tie in with this shooting in Florida Sunday?

Two days later the officer in charge called and spoke with Michael Burgess to check up on him and make sure things were okay. They had a nice conversation and a half hour later Mr. Burgess shot his wife, her teenage daughter, then chased her elderly parents through the house and out in the yard where he gunned them down before shooting himself.

His wife, Cassandra Burgess, worked for the manufacturer of Effexor doing what? She took adverse reaction reports for Effexor!

Calling in the adverse reaction report for this PA mass murder/suicide

I called in the adverse reaction on this case & explained I had an adverse reaction to report on Effexor. The woman said, “Okay, and the adverse reaction was?”

I replied, “Mass murder/suicide.”

She said, “Oh! Okay….(catching her breath) And patient name?”

I said, “Michael Burgess.”

She repeated, “Michael”….then screamed, “Michael Burgess?!!!! Did you know his wife worked right here in this office?!”

Of course I already knew but replied, “You mean to tell me she worked right there next to you taking adverse reactions day in and day out and she did not see this coming in her own husband soon enough to save her life, the life of her daughter or her parents or his?!!”

She said very softly, “I guess not.”

The officer also told me someone could have knocked him over with a feather because there is NO WAY he would have believed the man he had just spoken to was about to do this.

So if a toxicologist for the FDA can miss this coming in her own son soon enough to save these young lives in Florida, how safe are any of us interacting with so many on these drugs?!!!! As an expert in these cases since 1992 you do not want me to answer that question for you! These people do not come with serotonin meters on their foreheads! How do we know when that level reaches a toxic level? Take a look at what we have seen and documented so far: www.ssristories.net

And what is even worse is that most people and even most doctors do not know that in order to come off these drugs safely to avoid triggering a psychosis from withdrawal you must taper EXTREMELY SLOWLY over months or years! (See withdrawal information below)

And what is even worse is that most people and even most doctors do not know that in order to come off these drugs safely to avoid triggering a psychosis from withdrawal you must taper EXTREMELY SLOWLY over months or years!

PROZAC: PANACEA OR PANDORA? OUR SEROTONIN NIGHTMARE!

PROLOGUE

THE PANDORA’S BOX

“All at once, every evil and spiteful thing flew out, like a swarm of insects infesting the earth with pain and sorrow….thanks to Pandora, life on earth was never quite so joyful ever again.” From the story of Pandora’s Box

On September 14, 1989, Joseph Wesbecker blew the lid off the Pandora’s box unveiling one of the most terrible of the paradoxical reactions to Prozac when he walked into his former place of employment, Louisville, Kentucky’s Standard Gravure Corp., took the elevator to the third floor, and as the elevator doors opened, started firing with an AK-47 semiautomatic assault rifle. In what authorities called a “blood bath you don’t get over,” Wesbecker took eight lives and wounded twelve others before taking his own life.

Unfortunately, the first medical letter to be published on the relation of Prozac to suicidal ideation and violence came too late for Joseph Wesbecker and twenty of his former co-workers. Although he had been placed on permanent medical disability the previous year after being diagnosed as “manic depressive,” he was described as never having had a history of violence. He had never struck his wife or children and in thirty-two years had never had an argument on the job. He had never tried to hurt anyone else, and everyone who worked with him described him as your average “nice Joe.” Yet one of his victims described the same man, as he turned a gun on her, as “totally devoid of any human element, and human soul….He was just `gone.’ There wasn’t anything there.” (Friends, family and acquaintances in describing individuals who are in trouble on one of these serotonergic medications often refer to them as “gone,” There seems to be no other way to describe the complete change in personality that takes place.)

What was the catalyst that turned this gentle man into a savage bloodthirsty murderer almost overnight? His psychiatrist was shocked by his patient’s obvious deterioration. Two days before the shooting spree the doctor took Wesbecker off Prozac after a five-week period of usage and wrote these notes:

• “Patient seems to have deteriorated. Tangential thought.

• “Weeping in session. Increased agitation and anger.

• “Question (?) from Prozac.

• “Because of deterioration I encouraged patient to go into the hospital for stabilization but he refused.

• “Plan – Discontinue Prozac which may be cause. Return to clinic in two weeks.”

He didn’t return in two weeks. He walked into the annals of history two days later as one of the most notorious mass murderers ever.

Wesbecker had for many years been taking lithium for his manic reactions and continued to take it along with the Prozac his doctor had recently prescribed. In the inquest a jury ruled that the drugs “may have been a contributing factor” in this case.

Joseph Wesbecker’s experience with Prozac began to arouse public awareness to the seriousness of the adverse reactions connected to this drug. Tragically, Wesbecker’s reaction, nor any warning since then, has been loud or clear enough to awaken us all to the painful reality of the potential very serious dangers of the specific serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

On March 6, 1992, Jim and Carri Pizzuto’s only child, Marc, 22, brought that awareness home for them by putting a gun to his head and pulling the trigger. Jim has spent every minute since then asking himself over and over and over again why he did not listen to every word of the television program on Prozac he had seen several months earlier. Or why he had not heeded the warnings given. How he wishes now that the program had been more bold and straightforward rather than so “politically polite” in presenting both sides of the issue. Why hadn’t the program reached out and grabbed him, shaking into him the fear he now has of the drug? Why hadn’t it made him realize then the impact those warnings could have made in his own life within a few short months? Why hadn’t it made him realize the reality of the danger lying in wait for his own loved ones? Why did it have to be Marc who taught him that lesson in a way that will be embedded deeply and painfully within his soul forever?

Now the questions never end for Jim and Carri, nor for Marc’s friends and family. With an intensified interest they now closely listen to every news report of violent or bizarre behavior or violent suicides and murders and wonder if anyone knew enough to ask if Prozac was involved. They worry about those left behind with all the same questions – those who have fewer or no answers about this drug than they had – answers to help them begin to understand the tragedies with which they are left to cope.

Marc Pizzuto had deeply touched the lives of many in his short 22 years. Throughout his childhood, he was loving, energetic, confident and contented. His parents saw no signs of depression except for brief periods during his last two winters, when he complained of symptoms resembling Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). A doctor at his Maryland University health center prescribed Prozac. Five weeks later, Marc was missing classes (something he had never done before), and sleeping excessively, and the following week he was dead.

Jim describes his son as “the most remarkable and gifted person I have ever known.” He felt it a privilege to have been Marc’s father. Even though he has every reason to be prejudiced in his opinion of his son, Jim Pizzuto does not stand alone. Marc was loved and admired by all he met. One of Marc’s classmates in his Conflict Partnership class shared with their professor his feelings about Marc: “We always got into long discussions after class, and I never could keep up with Marc’s depth of thought. I admired the way Marc seemed so fascinated with every aspect of life. He was the kind of person I wanted to be.”

Their professor, Colman McCarthy, is a writer for The Washington Post. He described Marc as “a young fellow who glowed with life and had ample self confidence to handle the routine academic ups-and-downs that periodically come to every college student….He had qualities that would hearten any teacher: a reflective mind, an appetite for the give-and-take delights of classroom discussion, and a writing style that was sensory in tone because he avoided the stiffness of term-paper prose in favor of letting his feelings flow. Marc, in the General Honors program (He kept a 3.8 average and was on an partial academic scholarship.), had the rarest of undergraduate gifts – intellectual openness. He savored exploring new ideas and seeing where they would take him. He spoke of becoming a professor.”

Marc wrote two papers for Mr. McCarthy’s class: “The Utility of a Nonviolent Lifestyle” and “Conflict Partnership – A Remarkable New Approach to Managing Conflict.” In the second paper Marc wrote: “I am rather fortunate. I feel my parents have taught me many of the techniques found in Conflict Partnership, techniques that are indeed effective. Unknowingly, they have taught me by their example as well as through their interaction with me. Yet I am now more aware of the nature of conflict after reading this book, and I believe I am better equipped to handle future conflicts with greater skill.”

Marc’s statement should help us understand why all who knew him wonder why he handled his last conflict in a manner so totally contrary to every non-violent example he had set for 22 years. They wonder why this solution was so adverse to those principles he had always lived with so much conviction. Everyone wonders, that is, everyone who does not yet understand the violent compulsive behaviors that can be chemically induced through the altering of brain function. Jim reflects on his son’s life: “He was blessed with an abundance of natural qualities – exceptional good looks, a strong, six-foot tall stature, confident blue-grey eyes, casual sandy colored hair and an unforgettable smile. He was charming and witty, thoughtful and considerate. He was especially blessed with a wonderful mind and a genuine concern for others. He was the center of our world and all that parents could hope for….Marc was determined in his convictions but always considerate and open to new ideas. He was genuinely concerned about the lives of people, the people close to him and the people of the world….He belonged to environmental and nature clubs and world conflict resolution groups. He thought and spoke creatively about world issues. His potential was infinite. He made good judgments in all aspects of life. He developed his mind with dedicated study and learning. He had a passionate love for reading and after absorbing its wonders he would pleasantly articulate the essence of his newly acquired philosophies. He cared for his health with physical activity and good dieting habits. He enjoyed sports and daily maintained his fitness with exercising and running. He was a non-smoker and ate wholesome, healthy foods. He was a vegetarian. He felt the excessive waste caused by polluting fertilizers used for growing grain to feed beef; this extravagant waste of grain could be put to far more efficient and humane use in feeding the starving peoples of the world. Furthermore, he opposed the way animals are confined and raised in feeding pens, and did not want to contribute to the animals’ abuse by the meat industry. Marc cast his vote by living his principles – unfailingly, those principles were sound and just.”

In memory of Marc, his fellow students and friends at the University Career Development Center, where he worked, planted a Yoshino cherry tree in the center of a prominent square on the university grounds. It’s a peaceful place, with benches, green grass, tall trees and stately buildings. Along a shaded path, on a brick wall, near the tree they placed a bronze plaque inscribed with a quotation from one of Marc’s papers: “The Best Education is the One That Instills the Love of Learning.” The cherry tree symbolizes Marc’s keen interest in Japanese culture; it will also bloom each spring and mature into a grand symbol of Marc’s fascination for learning.

Jim ends his description of his son with: “Marc’s positive spirit and thoughtful consideration was felt by everyone who knew him and remembered by anyone that met him even for a few brief moments. His innate qualities made us love him – his remarkable intelligence, his expressions, his sincerity. He touched us deep in our hearts and made us love him very much….We were encouraged by his example, his values and philosophies. Even as Marc’s father, I frequently sought and benefited greatly from his clear thinking and sound judgment. Through his infancy, and as he grew, he was the greatest joy possible in life for his mother and me. His excellence gave our life great meaning. I was constantly amazed and inspired by his brilliance. That this brilliant mind would in the end conclude that suicide was somehow a solution….does not fit.”

Is Prozac (and all the Prozac clones we have seen since in the way of antidepressants 7 atypical antipsychotics) the catalysts that produce in these people an obsessive, violent obsession to kill and be killed? Are these patients being chemically induced to take their own lives and the lives of those around them? No one agency has yet tracked the connection between any of the serotonergic meds and suicide or their relationship to violent crime. How many deaths have there already been of which we are unaware because no one has taken notice of them? How many more deaths do we need to witness? How much more terror to the victims and to the perpetrator himself? How many more wonderfully creative individuals – the greatest gifts to our world – can we afford to lose before we learn the answer to that question? How many more Marc Pizzutos will have the answer to these questions before it is too late?

ANN BLAKE-TRACY INTERVIEW ON RECENT CANADIAN SHOOTINGS & ANTIDEPRESSANT-INDUCED VIOLENCE

Canada is a country with very strict gun control laws yet this past month they have had two major shootings…the first shooting was on July 22.

So after that first shooting Canadian talk show host, Richard Syrett, interviewed me on the violence produced by antidepressants & other serotonergic medications & here is the link to that podcast:

http://conspiracy-unlimited.libsyn.com/103-prozac-killers

We no more than finished that show and posted it the following week when there was yet another shooting where four lost their lives, including two police officers.

2 cops among 4 killed in eastern Canada shooting

AUG 10, 2018 8:36 AM EDT WORLD CBS/AP

TORONTO — A shooting in a small Canadian city early Friday left four people dead, including two police officers, under circumstances that were not yet explained but struck a nerve in a country that has been roiled in recent months by several instances of mass violence. People in Fredericton, the capital of New Brunswick in the eastern part of the country, said they heard as many as 20 gunshots following a confrontation that prompted police to initially cordon off a large section of the city with emergency vehicles and order residents to remain inside their homes and businesses.

Finally, after a tense period of waiting, authorities disclosed the toll: Among the four killed were two officers, a rare case of police killed in the line of duty in Canada. Their names were not released.

Man dead after intentionally crashing plane into his own home.

No big surprise. With previous domestic violence incidents I am sure he was court-ordered to get counseling and what do you get in counseling? Standard prescription is an antidepressant which increase serotonin. And what is serotonin? It is what LSD & PCP mimic to produce hallucinations. And according to a study done in 1996 at the University of Southern California they found that serotonin is the key to human violence. So once these drugs are added to the mix this is how you often settle disputes when you hit a toxic level! Hopefully an investigation into that aspect will be conducted.
It is hardly the first suicide or murder/suicide involving a plane. Remember the Germanwings co-pilot on antidepressants who flew 150 to their deaths when he took over the plane & flew it into the side of the Alps? He was switching antidepressants due to the drugs affecting his vision just like the elderly Russian immigrant who killed my good friend Don Thomas in the Family History Library shooting. The poor man had no idea how dangerous it can be to make any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant, up or down.

Roseanne Barr: Was her comment medication-induced?

Roseanne was on Prozac for years & had very serious reactions to it. She was estranged from her parents because she thought they molested her when she was 6 months old! (And her parents are the sweetest people you would ever want to meet!!!) As dreams  on antidepressants  are so extremely vivid  patients begin having problems  discerning  between dreams and reality so the to begin to mix with one another making the patient believe that they are actually remembering something that has happened to them. Once finally off the antidepressants she was able to realize it was all drug-induced by her medication. (See our group on that all too common reaction to these drugs:

Antidepressant-induced False Accusations of Abuse – m.facebook.com/groups/878496472235198?)

She then went on Oprah with her mother to apologize & state publicly that it was all caused by the drugs & the biggest mistake she has ever made in her life. Sadly her father had already passed away before she got off all her meds. He knew from my book, Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? – Our Serotonin Nightmare!, that it was all being caused by the drugs, but he still never got to see their “Real Rosanne,” as they called her, once again before he died. 😢😢 It was really hard on him & it would not surprise me to learn it contributed to his death because they had been such a close knit family BEFORE these drugs entered their world.

What most do not know about Roseanne is that when she was only 16 she was hit by a car & the hood ornament was actually embedded in her forhead. Someone who has had a head injury, especially one as serious as that, should never, ever, ever, ever be given one of these drugs! They seem guaranteed to have the very worst side effects! Remember her grabbing her crotch while singing national anthem and calling it a “Prozac moment”?

But obviously she needs to be warned about not being able to take other mind-altering drugs after the serious reactions she had to antidepressants! And that would certainly include Ambien which is so notorious for also causing the REM Sleep Disorder, even though antidepressants are the very worst for causing this very deadly sleep , long known to induce both murder and suicide, where the patient acts out nightmares in a dream state!

A few listed side effects of Ambien

(Considering how many there are there is not room for them all)

Serious Ambien Side Effects: Memory, Depression, and More

Leave it to USA Today!

Of course USA Today had to carry the following article stating that the Ambien manufacturer said that racism is not a side effect of their drug! https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/05/30/roseanne-barr-blames-ambien-zolpidem-drug-real-side-effects/654683002/

All anyone needs to do is read the .medication side effects of argumentative behaviour and impaired judgement to see a connection! And I would strongly urge you to keep in mind that this is the same newspaper who apparently had no problems in taking some big advertising contract or obviously receiving compensation in some way for running a big feature article on the 10th anniversary Columbine titled “The Myths of Columbine” Of course the leading “myth” of Columbine was that Eric and Dylan, the shooters, were taking anti-depressants!

The minute the article hit the Press I contacted the reporter asking how he missed one of the biggest lawsuits of the past decade where the antidepressant manufacturer of the antidepressant Luvox was sued by Mark Taylor for their antidepressant causing Eric Harris to shoot Mark during the Columbine massacre. His reply was, “Oh yes I forgot Luvox. I will have to change that in the article!”

Of course the change was never made and was allowed to remain in the paper so that a week later it went out in there nation-wide Edition leading the country to believe bad indeed Eric and Dylan were not taking antidepressants at the time they shot up Columbine!

This is how Pharma rewrites history for us all! You now find people all the time who believe it is not true that Eric and Dylan were medicated at the time of that most notorious of all school shootings! And that is why I never pay any attention     to one word that comes from USA Today!

Superman Star Margot Kidder, Advocate for Natural Mental Health, Dead at 69

MY COMMENT ON THE ARTICLE CIRCULATING EVERYWHERE THIS MORNING ON THE DEATH OF MARGOT KIDDER…
 —
Margot did not become an advocate for mental health!!! She became an advocate for natural treatment of mental health issues after suffering a horrific manic episode in 1996!!! From then on she treated her Bipolar naturally after working with orthomolecular psychiatrist Dr. Abram Hoffer.
 —
Margot was scheduled to lecture at my alma matter, Eastern Arizona College, when she suffered the manic episode & disappeared in 1996. I was asked to take her place for that lecture since I am an expert on antidepressants, (we now have a Facebook group called
Antidepressant induced bipolar and schizophrenia Facebook group,), but out of respect for Margot the event was cancelled instead.
 —
“I certainly hope that after the passing of Dr. Hoffer several years ago that no one used the standard marketing ploy of talking her into using a “new improved version” of one of these deadly antidepressants – drugs notorious for producing multiple organ failure resulting in death as the serotonin levels go too high thus producing Serotonin Syndrome!”
 –
Quote from Abram Hoffer MD – “There’s this statement that if you treat someone who is sick [with drugs] you have two problems,” adds Dr. Hoffer, who is the author of several books and maintains a private consultancy in Victoria. “Treat the illness and then treat the results of the treatment.”  Original Article

MARGOT KIDDER‘SUPERMAN’ STAR DEAD AT 69

 5/14/2018 9:24 AM PDT

‘Superman’ Star Margot Kidder Dead at 69

EXCLUSIVE

Margot Kidder, the actress who played Lois Lane in “Superman,” died Sunday in Montana … TMZ has learned.

Margot was at her home when she passed away, according to the spokesperson at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home in Livingston, MT. The cause of death is unknown at this point.

Bruce Becker, the Park County Attorney, tells TMZ … an unknown person called police to report Margot was unconscious and not breathing. Police responded and found her dead. The Livingston Police Chief says foul play is not considered a factor, but her death is now under investigation.

Margot starred opposite Christopher Reeve in 1978’s “Superman,” and also in the 3 sequels. She continued acting right up until this year, taking small roles in TV shows and movies — but also had stage roles … including “The Vagina Monologues” on Broadway. She reportedly had 2 more roles yet to be released.

Margot had a very public battle with bipolar disorder for years. During her struggle she was briefly homeless in 1996. Margot became an advocate for mental health after that incident.

She’d been married 3 times, although she’d been single since the ’80s.

Margot is survived by a daughter.

RIP

‘I’ve had quite a few romances with really great men, more than most people perhaps, and I don’t miss them at all,” confesses Margot Kidder, punctuating her candour with an old-lady cackle. “I’m at a different phase of my life now.”

The Canadian-born actress who shot to fame in the late Seventies as Lois Lane in the Superman movie franchise has more than one saviour these days.

One is middle age, which serves as her cloak. Much of the glamorous thrice-married-and-divorced star, who counted Pierre Elliott Trudeau among her lovers, is hidden beneath a healthy weight gain, loose, comfortable clothes, a curtain of long auburn hair and large horn-rimmed glasses.

At 58, Ms. Kidder feels liberated from the expectations of others. “In middle age, you walk into a room and you don’t exist, and so you go, ‘Wait a minute. I had this identity as this hot young babe.’ You have to re-envision yourself, and I’ve loved it. You can be who you are and say what you think without thinking, ‘Is this going to make me less attractive as a female and am I batting my eyes enough at the guy?'”

The only man she occasionally turns to gaze at fondly is Abram Hoffer, president of the International Schizophrenia Foundation, who sits at the head of a small table in a downtown Toronto hotel where we meet.

He is her other saviour, a 90-year-old Superdoc in a crumpled tan suit, who has plucked patients from the grip of mental illnesses for over 40 years through the use of controversial orthomolecular psychiatry – a belief that the cure is in balancing or correcting a patient’s biochemistry.

By following his advice on supplementing her diet with a tailor-made regimen of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, hormones and essential fatty acids – and no longer taking any pharmacological drugs – Ms. Kidder says she has freed herself of the manic depression she suffered all of her life and that caused her embarrassingly public meltdown in 1996.

Found on the streets of Los Angeles in a paranoid state, her hair hacked off and without her dental plate, Ms. Kidder, who had gone off her medication, became the poster girl for mental illness.

Shortly after, she visited her family in Vancouver and visited an acupuncturist who recommended she see Dr. Hoffer, an alternative-medicine pioneer who was born on a Saskatchewan farm in 1917 and likes to call his star patient Margie.

The two now keep in touch and regularly speak at conferences, including a recent one on nutritional medicine in Toronto, presented in part by the International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine.

Asked if she sees her infamous psychotic break as a good thing, Ms. Kidder answers initially with her cackling laugh, while Dr. Hoffer intones softly that “it was very good for the whole world.”

But there is little conversation that she shies away from and so, after a pause, Ms. Kidder leaps right in with her straightforward gaze, her hands on the table, palms face down and sliding back and forth across the smooth surface, as if she wants to brush away any crumb of misunderstanding.

“I had to look at the fact that I was an actress and you’re not allowed to get fat,” she says, leaning into the table. “I would go for one month on hard-boiled eggs and grapefruit and black coffee and then I’d have tequila and hot dogs for a week. There was no food in my brain, and thus it didn’t work.”

Fame was not to blame. “Whether I’d been working in a bank or working as an actress, it would have been the same experience. It’s my body.”

But some people find the manic phase of the illness highly creative. Did it ever help her in her work as an actress?

“I would say that an enormous number of people in the arts could be called bipolar,” she responds. “But these labels are very destructive. Human beings aren’t labels. They’re complex things of mind, body, soul.”

She and Dr. Hoffer then fly off together on a long digression about the malevolence of the medical establishment, talking more to each other than to me.

Ms. Kidder: “Doctors pathologize so many simply human feelings. Now, people in a state of grief automatically take an antidepressant.”

Dr. Hoffer: “When I started in psychiatry, there were 30 or 40 diagnostic terms. Now there are three or four hundred.”

I try to turn the conversation back to her.

“Why don’t you just listen to Dr. Hoffer?” she snaps with the annoyance of a schoolmarm.

They soar off again.

“The great tragedy of Dr. Hoffer’s work is that until the last few years, people turned to it not as the first line of defence, but when they were at the end of their rope,” Ms. Kidder puts in.

“There’s this statement that if you treat someone who is sick [with drugs] you have two problems,” adds Dr. Hoffer, who is the author of several books and maintains a private consultancy in Victoria. “Treat the illness and then treat the results of the treatment.”

“Nobody has ever died from taking too many vitamins,” Ms. Kidder coos as she peers fondly at her hero through her owlish glasses.

Turning to me, she instructs: “Nobody can make a lot of money off anyone getting well naturally, but they can make trillions of dollars getting well off synthetically made drugs.”

I am still wondering how her bouts of mania and depression affected her work.

“I am as good an actress sane as I was crazy, okay?” she says with a forced smile of perfect teeth.

Does she ever wonder if they affected her marriages?

“It’s hard to say,” she allows, relaxing a bit. “Generally, my experience is that you have long periods of being like anyone else and then you have episodes where you are a mess. So, I can’t say whether my first marriage [to writer/director Thomas McGuane, the father of her only child, Maggie]fell apart because of manic depression or if it fell apart because we were both too self-centred and egomaniacal to be able to compromise with each other,” she says, laughing at her assessment of herself.

Ms. Kidder luxuriates in the comfort of her middle-aged skin. A long-time resident of Livingston, Mont., she “gets paid enough from acting to make a living” and likes to spend time with her dog and two grandchildren who live nearby.

“I don’t think any of us who do this [orthomolecular treatment]are so silly as to assume that vitamins are going to cure you from life. You’re going to get some body blows that just happen,” she says as she turns to Dr. Hoffer, who smiles at her benevolently and nods his bald head in agreement. “That’s just called living,” she concludes calmly, still looking at him.

Impact of Antidepressants Upon the Unborn -The Manie Foundation

As of March 17, 2018 it has now been 14 years since Manie was born with a rare heart defect & was rushed into emergency heart surgery when only 8 days old. Then two years ago learned he also has a rare lung defect. And on September 6, 2016 went in for additional surgery. Thus the Manie Foundation was born.

Manie Edgington was born in the heartland of America needing open heart surgery in order to save his life. This was the result of Julie’s extremely short term use of the antidepressant Paxil, a drug she discontinued only a few weeks after his conception when she realized she was pregnant. Sadly for Manie & his mother that was already weeks too late.

This same type of surgery was necessary for two baby boys in my own small Utah neighborhood where the families attended church with me. One of those had also been exposed to Paxil throughout his mother’s pregnancy and the other was exposed to the Prozac residue his mother had taken just before her pregnancy.

With the extremely high rate of use of antidepressants among women of childbearing age this information needs to get out to the public far, far more than what it is now!! How many babies is this happening to that we never hear about, that the mothers never even learn about? I know the stories of the two babies in my neighborhood were never made public in any way whatsoever. The reason for that was with the first one because the mother worked for a pharmacy and she remained on the drug, so she never wanted to take her son’s case to court. The other mother tried to file a case for her son, but as happens so often in going against a drug company with tons of money in their coffers set aside fight such cases, she could not find an attorney who would take her baby’s case pro bono and she did not have the funds to file it herself.

And then in one other case in my small neighborhood, my next door neighbor’s sister, who had been on Prozac for 7 years before weaning off, gave birth to a baby one and a half years after discontinuing her use of Prozac. When the baby was 3 weeks old it was passing more blood than stool. Both her family physician and pediatrician confirmed our fears that it was the Prozac residue in her mother’s milk that was eating away the baby’s intestinal lining. Further confirmation of that came as a mother who had never taken these drugs donated her mother’s milk so that the baby could receive her milk mixed half in half with the mother’s milk which stopped the baby’s intestinal bleeding.

And in two other cases I am aware of another neighbor on Prozac during her pregnancy gave birth to a baby boy with Autism. As he was never given vaccines it was always clear go the parents that Prozac had produced the Autism in their son which because they have chosen for years now to treat with diet & herbs is doing better & better.

The other case involved blood sugar issues. Hypoglycemia was the first birth defect noticed in babies born to mothers who had taken antidepressants. Of course early hypoglycemia would indicate that there is also early diabetes in these babies. A mother on antidepressants was asked to give a talk at church about the safety of antidepressants during pregnancy! That mother went on to assure everyone that her baby was just fine and that using antidepressants during pregnancy was a safe thing to do since she was still on her anti-depressants. What she did not disclose during her presentation was the fact that her baby then only one and a half years old was already suffering such severe diabetes that she was insulin-dependent! Of course anyone knows that means her life will be cut short because of the impact of diabetes at such an early age.

Are these the only problems in children stemming from their mothers use of antidepressants ? Far from it ! These are only some of the life threatening and very serious adverse effects that can come for my mother’s use of antidepressants before and during pregnancy. Much more is coming out now about the depression and anxiety and learning difficulties these children have due to the exposure to these drugs in the womb.

Young women of childbearing age who want families need to to be warned of the many possibilities of the negative impact of the use of an antidepressant upon their offspring instead of being lied to about these drugs being perfectly safe in pregnancy. If they want families they need to know how their use of these drugs can in fact produce life threatening situations for their children and long_term effects which can show up years later.

And this post wood not be complete without including very first comment posted on Facebook in response to this from a mother who was assured over and over again that her medication was safe during pregnancy thus affecting many of her children before one of them did not survive….

“I am sick of hearing “I was on antidepressants and my baby was fine.” Everyone assumes that exposure only causes physical defects.
“As a mom with a PPHN baby, a heart defect baby and one who died, plus 3 other living guys exposed (thank you lying medical comminity), you may not notice the impact right away. My 16 year old had a non eventful birth and was a normally healthy baby who was breastfed while I was still on antidepressants, as well as my 11 year old, and both have issues with behaviour and maturing at the same rate as others plus impulse control issues. You know, all the symptoms that get kids medicated for things like ADHD?
“I wonder how many babies born fine grow up to be struggling with problems because their brain was affected while in the womb? You can’t see the brain. There is so much more going on than we know.
“Unless you are of the belief that a mom taking street drugs as opposed to the mom on prescription drugs; your body knows the difference right?”

We love you Manie! I still have the picture I had of you on my desk in Iowa with you in your karate uniform. I hope with this last surgery it did not impair your ability to do your karate in any way.

Ann Blake-Tracy’s Response to the “March for Our Lives”

How sad and tragic that these children are being exploited by getting them  to focus on guns as the issue in school violence while allowing the real perpetrators of this violence to not only go free, but to increase the profits of the perpetrators as well as increasing the violence by missing the obvious! After the 3 decades I have spent tracking, investigating & documenting all these tragedies I wonder how long it can possibly take to wake up society to the blatantly obvious?!!! Allow me to explain.
Do guns carry a warning that owning one will cause homicidal & suicidal ideation (Which is obsessive compulsive thoughts of killing oneself or others along with ruminating thoughts of various methods of killing)?
Do bathtubs carry such a warning? Kitchen knives? Bombs? Cars? Buses? Machetes? Hammers? Baseball bats? Crow bars? Hachets? Axes? Shovels? Cross bows? Chain saws? Circular saws? Cars? Buses? Trucks? Planes?
No, not one of them carry those warnings even though I have seen all of those used as weapons in these cases of mass violence. So are we going to ban all of these as well? Of course not!

Common Denominator

In School Violence

But there is one very common denominator in all of these tragedies that do actually carry those warnings that they can cause both homicidal and suicidal ideation. Here is a long list of many of those cases of school violence. Let me know if you see the common denominator I am speaking of…
That common denominator you see in these cases is the one big difference we have seen in our society since these nightmares began flooding our world – drugs we call antidepressants! These are drugs identical in action to a slow acting or gradual PCP or LSD effect leading one into hallucinations, suicide, violent crime & psychotic breaks, which reactions have been found to occur at a far higher rate in those under age 25 whose brains are yet developing!!
How insane it would be to ban all these things when all we need to do is to ban the drugs that clearly demonstrate in medical research & in patient reports that they cause this behavior. They also have been found in court cases to produce mass murder suicide after taking only two doses of the drug! (TOBIN vs GLAXO)

Watch this short video interview of the only school shooter to ever explain why he took a gun to School – a hard working 16 year old farm boy, who was very close to his parents, head of his church’s youth group, good student who was finishing up his Eagle Scout & preparing to serve a two year mission for his church. His only “mental illness”? He was shy!….

….
Now watch this 3 minute video of Mark Taylor, the Columbine  Miracle Boy, who survived 7 to 13 bullets that day, as he lays blame at the feet of the FDA, those partially responsible for causing Columbine….

Michael Moore

“Not Guns, But Drugs”

And if that is not enough you can watch this short video statement by Michael Moore, yes the same Michael Moore who produced the movie Bowling for Columbine. If you will recall the purpose of that movie seemed to be getting rid of guns after that mass shooting. But listen to him call that all “BS” after looking at the evidence behind these drugs which have been the common denominator in nearly every school shooting this country has ever seen…

You can additionally view a very large searchable database  of thousands of additional cases of extreme violence  and bizarre behavior  as a result of these drugs  at…

CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta (Neurologist) Weighs In On School Shootings & Antidepressants

Dr. Sanjay Gupta is an American neurosurgeon who serves as associate chief of  neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and as assistant professor of neurosurgery at the Emory University School of Medicine.

He is also a media personality on health-related issues, and best known as CNN’s multiple Emmy Award-winning chief medical correspondent, hosting the network’s weekend health program Sanjay Gupta, M.D., and makes frequent appearances.

And he is one of the finest physicians I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Besides that he loves the title of my  book on antidepressants and all aspects of serotonin, Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? As the book examines the research to learn if these drugs are the panacea (cure all) the drug manufactures’ marketing would have us believe as doctors hand them out or every ailment known to man , or are they a Pandora’s Box that once opened unleashing all i’s terrible plagues could never be contained again? From the story of Pandora’s Box: “All at once every evil and spiteful thing flew out like a swarm of insects infesting the Earth with pain and sorrow…t:-) hanks to Pandora life on Earth was never quite so joyful ever again.”)

Dr. Gupta as a neurologist and a professor of neurosurgery certainly would understand more about the brain & brain function than most doctors would. With that in mind LISTEN now as Dr. Sanjay Gupta speaks out about the connection between school shootings and antidepressants after the Sandy Hook school shooting….

ANTIDEPRESSANTS & FLORIDA SCHOOL SHOOTING RADIO SHOW FRIDAY MORNING

International Coalition for Drug Awareness - ICFDA Logo

SCHOOL SHOOTINGS: The Evidence Antidepressants Are The Cause

Because so many are posting our database of cases of school shootings on Facebook with no explanation of the antidepressant connection, I thought I should post it here on our website as a blog so that it is easier to share with others especially with this latest school shooting in Florida and when yet another school violence episode erupts so they too will have this information to share and educate others about the involvement of antidepressants in school shootings.

President Trump’s Official Statement on Florida Shooting: https://www.whitehouse.gov/1600daily/

My Response: THIS IS NOT A GUN ISSUE AND IT IS NOT A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE! IT IS A DRUG ISSUE – PRESCRIPTION DRUG ISSUE!!! I have worked these cases as an expert for three decades and the common denominator in them all is the use of an antidepressant – drugs that work very similarly to PCP!

PCP & LSD produce hallucinations by mimicking serotonin. And how do antidepressants work? They are designed to gradually increase serotonin so you get a gradual emerging of hallucinations or psychosis. In that way it appears that the patient is going crazy rather than the drug producing the effect thereby distancing the cause and effect and avoiding personal injury lawsuits.

Creative? It sure was! Thankfully if we can get them into court we have been able to show the evidence clearly with even their own experts testifying that what we should expect from the way these drugs act upon the brain is impulsive murder and suicide! The science is clear as a bell! But no one is hearing that because there is too much money being made on these drugs.

Shockingly Prophetic 1999 Pharmacist Comment on Antidepressants & School Shootings in 2019

In about 1999 I was contacted by a pharmacist who said the nicest woman in town had come regularly to get her prescription of Prozac from him until she went to prison for killing her husband. This was one message I received from him that I think the whole world needs to hear……

“The symptoms I see in patients who use/abuse serotonergic drugs of any form…could aptly be described as the “Hitler syndrome” (over-confidence in one’s own policies or decisions, no fear of consequences, criminal behavior, death of people close to the abuser as the preferred method of solving problems in the abuser’s life, coldness and lack of humanity). I feel that in twenty years or less we will be confronted not with one Hitler but with thousands or millions… numbers so great that we will be forced to interact with their distorted thinking on a daily basis. (Littleton, CO., Riverton,KS., Jonesboro, AR., eventually little Hitlers in every town in America will grow up into BIG HITLERS) It is happening right now. The most insidious factor about long-term serotonin abuse is that it enhances the individual’s persona to the point that they are able to manipulate others into their way of thinking just as Hitler did. This causes the distorted thinking, abnormal behavior, and loss of morality to spread like a contagion to otherwise normal people who have not even been exposed to the drugs. Those on the drugs are converted by the pharmacologic/physiologic processes into sociopathic demagogues.

“Do you have any comments on these thoughts, Ann? Please respond. Tell me we are not the only ones who see what is happening to our world!”

In Answer to: “Where do these school shooters come from? Broken homes?”

The Question: “Where do these school shooters come from? Broken homes?”

My answer: No! They come from their local doctor’s office after they have been given drugs very similar in action to a slow fuse version of PCP (Angel Dust) or LSD.

The Only School Shooter to Ever Speak Out

to Answer the Question, WHY?

If you watch the video below of the only school shooter to ever speak out about what happened to him while his father sits with him supporting him, you will see no broken home, no previous problems with behavior. This was a wonderful family on a farm in western Washington state with a shy 16 year old boy preparing to finish his Eagle Scout soon and then leave on a two year mission for the LDS Church. His shyness was the reason a doctor prescribed Paxil for him.

Columbine Survivor, Mark Taylor Testimony Before the FDA

News Report: School Shooter and Victim Join Forces

It is NOT mental illness. It is NOT guns, or any

other type of weapon, that fuels the violence…

It is not mental illness. It is not guns, but rather drugs we are calling “medications” which have suicidal and homicidal ideation listed as side effects! And I make that statement after being called as a court expert on these shootings since 1992 and spending 25 years tracking and documenting the shootings. This is the only possible cause that actually admits it can cause this. A gun does not start shooting on its own, but these drugs list homicidal ideation and suicidal ideation as a side effect. Ideation is constant ruminating obsessive and compulsive thoughts of killing along with the same thoughts of various methods of killing…thoughts compulsive enough to lead to action!

From several of the posts on these school shootings on our main web site at www.drugawareness.org I give you the following evidence to prove it is the drugs!

Understanding This Serotonin Nightmare

REM Sleep Disorder (RBD) – 86% Antidepressant-Induced

REM Sleep Disorder (RBD) is a condition during which, one lacks to normal paralysis during sleep thus allowing one to act out their worst nightmare in a dream state. (Corey’s case above is a perfect example of this) It is also known that 80% of those going into the REM Sleep Disorder hurt themselves or someone else, including both murder and suicide. Yet how many are aware that 86% of those being diagnosed with this most deadly of all sleep disorders have been found to currently be taking an antidepressant?  We do have a Facebook group on this deadly sleep disorder…

No automatic alt text available.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/106704639660883/

To date no research has been done to show how often this happens in antidepressant withdrawal even though RBD has long been known to be a drug withdrawal state. It should be expected to be far higher in withdrawal and yet we already have 86% involving patients currently taking these drugs.

Here is an interesting article on the REM Sleep Disorder:

Kauffman Study on antidepressants and violence:

“Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor Drugs: More Risks Than Benefits”

http://www.drugawareness.org/ssri-fac…/kauffman-ssri-study/1

SO WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THIS FLORIDA SHOOTER?

NOTE: For those of you who follow my work you will notice all of the obvious medication side effects and keep in mind that  63% of autistic children are prescribed antidepressants

…He is currently on suicide watch.

…He heard voices telling him what to do in the shooting (hallucinating).

…He was adopted along with his brother and it appears he was possibly suffering from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome  or had been exposed to drugs in the womb.

…He was depressed and in therapy after his mother’s sudden death from the flu in November…

According to the judge in the hearing on the Division of Family Services record held on Monday after the shooting on Valentine’s Day  this young man  was being medicated  for depression , autism ,  and ADHD .  It appears this young shooter had been drugged with these drugs for years and most likely either got an increase in dose in November when his mother died or went off the drugs cold turkey because his mother was not there to force him to take his pills. either way  the same  resulting scenario  could be expected because the FDA has warned  that any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant, whether increasing or decreasing the dose can produce suicide, hostility,  or psychosis.  And here is neurologist, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, of CNN confirming that warning…

This was the same scenario with Eric Harris at Columbine. His dose of antidepressant was increased just two months before the shooting even though when first given one of these drugs (Zoloft) within 3 weeks Eric was reporting that he was having homicidal ideation (a listed side effect which is an obsession with killing). So they gave him a different SSRI antidepressant! Why doctors seem to think that they are going to achieve a different outcome if they spell the name of a drug differently even though they work exactly the same is beyond me!

http://abcnews.go.com/US/florida-school-shooter-methodically-moved-classrooms-execute-victims/story?id=53112929

“The 19-year-old who is accused of killing 17 people and injuring dozens more when he opened fire on a South Florida high school Wednesday afternoon told investigators that he heard voices in his head, giving him instructions on what to do to conduct the attack, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

“The voices were described as “demons” by law enforcement sources.

“Those who knew suspect Nikolas Cruz described him as a troubled teen who was largely alone in the world. An attorney for the family who had taken Cruz in after his adoptive mother died said he was “depressed” following her death but had been going to therapy, while a student who participated in Junior ROTC with Cruz described him as a “psycho” who was enthusiastic about weapons.”

Family reported he has been “troubled” for years and was in therapy & thought to be on medication. Both parents are dead, his father died when he was four & his mother died suddenly in November of the flu…

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/fla-high-school-shooter-identified-gun-obsessed-teen-article-1.3821299

“A relative said Cruz, who was adopted at birth along with his biological younger brother by an older couple, has had a hard few years. His father died when Cruz was much younger and his mother died last year, she said.

“I know he did have some issues, and he may have been taking medication,” said Cruz’s aunt, Barbara Kumbatovich, whose sister died in November. “He did have some kind of emotional difficulties.”

He had obsession with guns, killed small animals, was on medication according to his aunt.

http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/broward/article200126034.html

“Roger Cruz died over a decade ago and Lynda struggled with the boys, said Barbara Kumbatovich, a former sister-in-law. “She did the best she could. “They were adopted and had some emotional issues,” she said.

“Kumbatovich said she believed Nikolas Cruz was on medication to deal with his emotional fragility. “She was struggling with Nikolas the last couple years,” she said.

“After his mother died, Cruz moved in with a friend, whose family in Broward took him in and even gave him own bedroom. He worked at a dollar store and went to a school for at-risk youth, said Fort Lauderdale attorney Jim Lewis, who is representing the family.

“Cruz had his AR-15, but the family asked that gun remain locked up in a cabinet, Lewis said. On Wednesday morning, Cruz slept in and gave only a cryptic reason why.”
