History of Mental Illness: Elderly Man Sets Self on Fire, Rams Car Into Police Station

A MAN after he set himself on fire drove his flaming vehicle filled with gas bombs into the Merrylands police station’s underground carpark. No one else was injured in the car-bomb attack when the man rammed the vehicle into the carpark about 7pm. Amazingly he survived and is in custody.

At least it appears that police officers in Australia recognize insanity when they see it instead of jumping on the terrorist bandwagon!!! “It is understood he is well-known to police, but has no known links to terror groups.”

…”Assistant Commissioner Denis Clifford said although they do not believe he has any links to terror groups, they are “keeping an open mind” throughout the investigation.

“Initial inquiries suggest there are no links to any groups,” he said.

It is absolutely amazing that the bombs did not go off and this man survived! Elevated serotonin has long been associated with pyromania (fire starting). If on one of these drugs, and with a history of mental illness it would be an even bigger miracle if he had not been given either an antidepressant or an atypical antipsychotic which both increase levels of serotonin, he and his family deserve to know the truth about what really happened to him!

Mental Illness, Texas Mom, Gun Advocate, Kills Two Daughters, Shot By Police

Christy Sheats

Christy Sheats

Late Friday afternoon on Jason Sheats birthday, his wife Christy Sheats (42), shot and killed their two daughters, Taylor Sheats (22), and Madison Sheats (17). As their mother began shooting in the house Madison and Taylor were forced to fire back in order to defend themselves. As police arrived Christy pointed her gun at officers and was shot and killed. Jason Sheats was able to get out fast enough to avoid being harmed.

As you can see from the pictures of Christy what has become known as the “Prozac Eyes” are prominent in all photos. She has been reported as having a “mental illness.” Of course if you have followed my work to understand antidepressant-induced psychosis and violence you know that I would attribute both her “mental illness” and her violence to the use of serotonergic medications (antidepressants, atypical antipsychotics, etc.). These drugs  have saturated our society over the past three decades now where we have learned to accept school shootings, mass shootings, mothers killing their children, as “normal” and every third person on the planet as Bipolar while the drugs are rarely singled out as the cause even though their package inserts admit it!

‘The Texas woman who killed her two daughters on Friday, before being shot and killed by police herself, allegedly had a history of mental illness, officials say. And she had posted multiple times on social media about her support of firearms.

“The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office had been to Christy Sheats’ home “for previous altercations” involving Sheats’ “mental crisis,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Caitilin Espinosa tells PEOPLE.

“She declined to provide more detail about those incidents.’

My Reply to the  “Of Course It Couldn’t Be the Guns, Could It?” Comment

Yes you are correct because if the gun was not available Christy could have walked to the kitchen to obtain the same type of weapon young McCann Utu II, used in Plano in April to stab to death his younger brother and his mother before calling 911 to report it as he then stabbed himself to death.

Or she could have used a pillow to smother them in their sleep as the famed pianist Vadym Kholodenko’s  estranged wife, Sofya Tsygankova, has been charged with doing in March in the Ft Worth area to take the lives of their two small daughters before attempting to stab herself to death with a kitchen knife.

The connection in all these cases has little to do with “mental illness” but everything to do with the drugs handed out like candy for any symptom one could think of – antidepressants. McCann on Prozac only three months, in spite of the fact he had two serious head injuries which should have made the drug contraindicated in my opinion. And Sofia on Zoloft, with Seroquel added just the day before the double murder/suicide attempt. We only await to hear which of these drugs Christy Shears had been taking before taking the lives of the two most precious people in her life as McCann and Sofia have done.

Why we continue to allow this group of drugs, now with warnings of both homicidal and suicidal compulsive thoughts and actions for over a decade, to remain on the market is beyond me! And we call them “medications”?!! How many more must die before we wake up and say “Enough FDA! Do what should have been done long before all these precious lives were destroyed! ‘Safe and effective’ is NOT a label we will accept on drugs known to produce homicide, suicide and psychosis!”?

Deadly Drugs – www.SSRIstories.NET

SSRIstories.NET is a database of the cases our group at the International Coalition for Drug Awareness has gathered over the past 2 1/2 decades, including nearly every school shooter and mass shooter in the country. The question remains in all of these cases as to the level of consciousness of the perpetrator – something that is never tested in the court cases and should be. (Tragically in this case that is no longer an option.) Testing is still back in the dark ages with blood levels of drugs rather than brain waves which will detect the level of consciousness and therefore culpability. These are drugs that accumulate in brain tissue at an alarming rate. Testing the blood tells us nothing about the level of toxicity.

EXCESS SEROTONIN PRODUCES EXTREME VIOLENCE

What so many were not aware of is that an increase in serotonin by an accompanying decrease in one’s ability to metabolize serotonin was long known to produce both impulsive murder and suicide. See this study out of the Southern California:

ANTIDEPRESSANTS PRODUCE SLEEP DISORDER KNOWN TO

INCLUDE BOTH MURDER AND SUICIDE

What the world remains unaware of is the fact is that 86% of those who are diagnosed with the most deadly sleep disorder known as REM Sleep Disorder (RBD) are currently taking antidepressants. REM Sleep Disorder is a condition in which there is no paralysis during sleep thus allowing the patient to act out the dreams or nightmares they are having. Tragically 80% of those going into this sleep disorder hurt themselves or others including both murder and suicide as a result.

This is possibly the most deadly of all reactions one can have to antidepressants. Even more frightening though is to learn that before the introduction of the SSRI antidepressants RBD was known mainly as a drug withdrawal effect. Thus the chances of going into this dangerous reaction should be expected to increase as one goes into withdrawal. This is why it is so important to avoid as much of the withdrawal effects as possible by tapering off the antidepressant very, very slowly. Feel free to join us on Facebook to learn more about this disorder on our Antidepressant-induced REM Sleep Disorder group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/106704639660883/

MEDICATION: Finally The Answers in 4 Year Old Ethan Stacy’s Murder

Nathan Sloop

Nathan Sloop

Nathan Sloop, step-father to Ethan Stacy, 4, (below) pleaded guilty but mentally ill Tuesday to aggravated murder in the boy’s death. In exchange for his plea, prosecutors will not seek the death penalty against him.

Little Ethan

Ethan Stacy, 4

Ethan Stacy, 4, died in May of 2010, just days after he arrived in Utah to visit his mother for the summer. Within only a few days, prosecutors believe the boy was severely abused, scalded, beaten, over medicated and was not given the medical care that he needed. When found his body had been disfigured with a hammer and the shallow grave it was in had been sprinkled with dog food. The boy had been burned over 17 percent of his body.

Almost four years later the answer I have suspected since Ethan’s death in May of 2008 has come out in court today. His step-father was on a number of prescribed medications for “mental illness” and even was prescribed as much as 4000 pain pills in a nine month period. Today he pleaded guilty, but mentally ill. As I have said before the answers may not come quickly, but if you hang on eventually they surface.

Nathan Sloop was once an All-American academic Lacrosse player whose mental illness “sent him off the tracks” according to his attorney. I would propose that it was not mental illness that sent him off the tracks, but the drugs he was given that produced the mental illness and additionally sent him off the tracks. His attorney went on to say , “The capacity of the defendant to appreciate the wrongfulness of his conduct was impaired as a result of a medical condition,” and added that he felt his client’s illness was “mistreated.” And whenever you hear that mentioned that is translated as “my client was not suffering depression, but instead was undiagnosed Bipolar and antidepressants should not have been given to someone who has tendencies for Bipolar.” The attorneys use that as a defense because that is what the doctors, who caused this nightmare for this family in the first place, have used to explain why these things are the fault of the patient, and certainly NOT the wonderful medications they have prescribed for the patient!

Ethan’s mother Stephanie Sloop is also charged with the murder and will be in court next week. Nathan and Stephanie Sloop got married on May 6, but left Ethan at home alone because they didn’t want anyone to notice his bruises and swelling. Ethan died two days later.

Nathan Sloop faced additional charges in an unrelated case in December after he attacked a deputy at the Davis County Jail. In the Nov. 21 incident, Sloop punched the officer while trying to gouge his eyes out and biting his thumb.

Please note that we have long seen cases of the gouging out of eyes and more especially biting associated with the use of antidepressants. See our database of cases for similar antidepressant cases at www.ssristories.drugawareness.org

Maryland Police Officer Kills Son to Stop His Attack on Mother

James and Denise Stirkens

Sgt James Stirkens and His Wife Denise

Only a few miles away from the Columbia, MD Mall shooting and just days away another tragedy struck Wednesday evening. In what I am sure was the most sad and tragic day of his life Montgomery County, MD Police Sgt James Stirkens found his son, Christopher, violently stabbing his mother with pruning shears. Unable to stop him Sgt Stirkens was forced to shoot his own son in an attempt to save his wife. Sadly his son died instantly and his wife died later at the hospital.

Christopher Stirkens

Once again all who knew this family is in shock. But Denise left an all too obvious clue on her Facebook page just the week before this that said, it was Mental Health Awareness Week and stated: “Depression, anxiety and panic attacks are NOT a sign of weakness. They are signs of having tried to remain strong for too long,” “Share the support! Let those who struggle know they’re not alone …”

No, those struggling with depression, anxiety or panic are rarely alone any longer…seems they all have Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, Celexa, Lexapro, Effexor, Remeron, Wellbutrin or one of the many other antidepressants on their backs – drugs designed to increase the levels of serotonin. The only problem with that is the increase in serotonin coming from the serotonin reuptake has always been known to produce impulsive murder and suicide. Mental Health Diagnosis? Records Opened Ignoring Hippa Laws to Restrict Gun Ownership

Guns-Destroyed

Guns Being Destroyed

And Hitler Being Resurrected?????

Jan 3, 2014 Obama signed an executive order limiting second amendment rights. A large part of that is opening mental health records and ignoring Hippa laws.

Opening mental health records is exactly where I said they were going to go two decades ago! These will be used to bar anyone with a “mental health history” – any diagnosis of a mental problem of any kind will be barred from owning a gun. Do everything possible to avoid ever getting a diagnosis for any so called mental disorder because it will be used against you in every way possible for the rest of your life. Even schools are handing out these “diagnosis” now.

Too bad those on the gun rights side do not even understand any of this about how they are creating “mental illness” with their drugs that are being handed out like candy to as many as possible with few knowing what they even are. How many are aware that these drugs are even being given for TB and urinary incontinence – and in fact have been given to children for decades for bed wetting!!!

Disclaimer: Let me clarify that I am for gun control while someone is under the influence of any of these drugs and for several years after being on one due to the adverse suicidal and homicidal aspects of the drugs.

See original video and article herer:  Corsi: Obama Limits Second Amendment Gun Rights by Stroke of Pen

Are you affected? This comment from Facebook basically says it all:

Rick Duarte “Let’s see if I have this right Ann Blake-Tracy

…20 to 30 million Americans on Antidepressants

…80%+ of the elderly on Antidepressants and/or Antipsychotics

…10 to 15 million kids hit with ADHD diagnosis and on Legal Speed (Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall, Stratera, etc.)

…50% or more of American troops on some sort of Psych drug

…psych drugs for the Stop Smokers…psych drugs for the Arthritic

…psych drugs for the Fibromyalgia Crowd…psych drugs for everyone!

OMG Ann! We’re All Nut Jobs! Looks like no of us can ever own a gun! True?”

UT Freeway Accident After Man Hears Voices Telling Him to Let Go of Wheel

truck rollover

Voices told driver to let go of wheel…

As the morning commute began in Salt Lake City this morning a man called 911 to report he was hearing voices telling him to let go of his steering wheel and crash his truck as he neared the busiest section of freeway in the state. He obeyed those voices and rolled the truck. Amazingly it ended up being a single car accident and the man was not critically injured! Although he did become combative as emergency personnel tried to help him out of the vehicle.

I have long warned to look to Utah as one of the main microcosms of what is to come with the backlash from antidepressant use, due to the high rate of use of the drugs there. So here is yet another case indicating what the world has to look for in the near future.

I actually believe we have already seen many similar cases to this. But this may be the only time someone has called to report it before he did this.

Remember that ANY abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant can cause suicide, hostility or psychosis. Sounds like this man was experiencing all three of those. Had he recently started on an antidepressant or changed from one antidepressant to a new antidepressant or was his dose just increased or decreased abruptly (as was the case with Andrea Yates the day before she drowned her five children) or was he trying to discontinue his antidepressant too rapidly?

As more and more people lose medical benefits with the introduction of Obamacare we are going to see more and more of these cases as people will not be able to get new doctors quickly enough to maintain their meds or feel they must stop their meds because they no longer have coverage….the possibilities there are endless and deadly.

Of course once again all the public will be told is that the poor fellow was suffering “mental illness” NOT that he was suffering a reaction from his medication. The “mental illness” puts the blame on the patient and removes it from the drug company thus avoiding lawsuits. The media is complicit in the lie because if they are not they will lose their biggest advertisers….thus all the serotonin lies continue and we left to bury our dead.

ANTIDEPRESSANT-INDUCED VIOLENCE LEADING US TO GUN CONTROL & COMING RELEASE OF VIDEO OF SCHOOL SHOOTER & FATHER TELLING THEIR STORY – REM SLEEP BEHAVIOR DISORDER PLAYS A ROLE IN SCHOOL SHOOTINGS

Adam Lanza

ANTIDEPRESSANT-INDUCED VIOLENCE LEADING US TO GUN CONTROL

ANTIDEPRESSANTS??? Although we have not yet learned what school shooter Adam Lanza was taking we do know he had a diagnosis of Aspergers  for which antidepressants are prescribed as a standard treatment by the large majority of physicians.  (If you will recall the young man who was involved in the violence with a bow & arrow that left three dead in Casper, WY the week before had also been diagnosed with Aspergers meaning it was also likely he too was taking antidepressants or recently had taken them because this can happen in withdrawal from the drugs if withdrawn too rapidly.) And I stated when this Portland mall shooting happened a week or so ago that this case clearly appeared to be antidepressant-induced as well. But when you consider the outcome in this case as opposed to the shooting at the school last Friday you can see why it is not being mentioned by those wanting to point their fingers at more gun control. There would have been far more deaths in this incident had this mall customer not have had a gun permit.

MY TOMBSTONE HISTORY

Before I began to research antidepressants I was very much anti-gun even though my great great grandfather was Mayor of Tombstone, Arizona during one of the most violent periods – the OK Coral Days. Wyatt Earp was his sheriff & Johnny Ringo was his friend and one day he had to stand between them to stop a gun battle. But my kids will tell you I refused to even allow toy guns in our home. But now AFTER learning about these drugs and interviewing so many who have had adverse reactions involving violence with any type of weapon my views have changed completely.

SHOOTER’S DESIRE TO DIE RATHER THAN HARM ANOTHER

Why? Because everyone of them has made the statement that they wish someone would have stopped them (with a bullet if necessary) from doing what they did while having this toxic reaction that led them to such out of character violence where they could not stop themselves and yet did not want anyone hurt. Do I believe those feelings were any different for the school shooters from Eric Harris & Dylan Kleebold to Adam Lanza? NO!!! I have always said that they would have been the ones most shocked by their own actions as they reached the other side and were able to realize what they had done because of these deadly drugs.

EEERIE PROPHESY OR SIMPLE MATH?

In fact in 1992 I contacted the NRA and told them that if they did not help to educate the public about antidepressants that these drugs would be the means by which enough violence would errupt in our society for those in power to call for the taking of America’s guns. Apparently 20 years ago I was the only one to see this coming and was not taken seriously. Now here we sit right in the middle of it all…

“INSIDE THE BROKEN MIND & DAMAGED SOUL OF ADAM LANZA”… (ABC)

LEARN HOW REM SLEEP BEHAVIOR DISORDER PLAYS A ROLE IN SCHOOL SHOOTINGS

What patients on antidepressants and their families are not being told and desperately need to be warned of is the REM Sleep Behavior Disorder which is basically where patients act out nightmares. Considering the time of day this shooting happened that could easily have been what happened to this young man. That is a condition where you act out your nightmares. Restless leg syndrome is often the first sign of this developing in a patient. another sign is very vivid dreams. of those being diagnosed with this extremely dangerous sleep disorder 86% are taking an antidepressant making these drugs the most common denominator.

SCHOOL SHOOTER & HIS FATHER SPEAK OUT

I will soon be posting an interview with another young man who was on antidepressants when he took a gun to school just over a decade ago. You will be able to clearly see that what he describes is a REM Sleep Behaviour disorder reaction steming from a switch from Paxil to Efffexor. This is exactly what comedian Phil Hartman’s wife suffered when she shot him and herself while under the influence of Zoloft.

This disorder often begins to manifest via Restless Leg Syndrome or very vivid dreams or nightmares. Watching for those reactions to antidepressants is most critical. I will have a new e-book published on this very deadly reaction in the next week or so. Corey’s father is also making himself available for interviews.

WATCH FOR POSTING SOON

Be sure to follow me on Facebook (Ann Blake-Tracy or International Coalition for Drug Awareness) or watch for the video posting on our website at www.drugawareness.org. All the families who lost loved ones in this recent tragedy need to see this to understand the reaasons behind the nightmare they have just experienced. And all antidepressant users need to watch this video with Corey as well.

ANTIDEPRESSANT: Girl (11) From Bedwetting to Agitation & Psychotic Break

NOTE BY Ann Blake-Tracy (www.drugawareness.org):

What a TRAGIC case and all too common! It compares with the
case of the 15 year old girl given Zoloft for warts – yes warts – and ended up
committing suicide. Of course Pfizer tried as hard as they could, albeit
unsuccessfully, to convince the court in her wrongful death suit that it
was the warts that drove her to suicide, not the Zoloft! And this case is also
very similar to the case of the little girl I discuss in my book, “Prozac:
Panacea or Pandora? – Our Serotonin Nightmare” who was given Prozac because as
an A student it was felt she spent too much time doing homework! (I thought that
was how you became an A student!) She was described before the meds as an
excellent student and well behaved child.  Yet, within days on
Prozac she was throwing herself downstairs. They then took her off the meds
and then put her back on the meds at higher doses and the Yale
study ends with her pulling her hair out and being locked in a psych
ward where she would jump up and down on her Teddy Bear screaming “Kill, kill!
Die, Die!” As I have asked for years, how many productive and caring lives have
we cut off from us all by these deadly drugs?!
Paragraph three reads:  “He also includes the stories of
individual patients, all of whom fared poorly on psychiatric medications and did
better after coming off them. One was of a young woman from Seattle
prescribed an antidepressant at age 11 to treat her bed-wetting, who then became
agitated and spiraled into full-blown psychosis.
When Whitaker met her
at age 21 she was living in a group home for the severely mentally ill, mute,
and withdrawn. Her story is heartbreaking, and the implication is that her
deterioration was triggered by the medications she was given.”

Tying the rise in mental illness to drugs used in its treatment

By Dennis
Rosen

April 14, 2010

ANATOMY OF AN EPIDEMIC: Magic Bullets,
Psychiatric Drugs, and the Astonishing Rise of Mental Illness in America
By
Robert Whitaker

Crown, 416 pp., $26

In “Anatomy of an Epidemic’’
Whitaker presents his theory that the dramatic increase in mental illness in the
United States since World War II is the direct result of the medicines
psychiatrists have been prescribing to treat it, and that this itself stems from

an unholy alliance between the pharmaceutical industry and corrupt physicians.
However, although extensively researched and drawing upon hundreds of sources,
the gaps in his theory remain too large for him to succeed in making a
convincing argument.

Whitaker cites studies showing better outcomes for
patients with depression or schizophrenia who have come off their medications
than for those who have stayed on them, but doesn’t consider the possibility
that this may be because those with milder disease recovered and no longer
needed medications, while those who were sicker to begin with simply could not
do without them.

He also includes the stories of individual patients, all
of whom fared poorly on psychiatric medications and did better after coming off
them. One was of a young woman from Seattle prescribed an antidepressant at age
11 to treat her bed-wetting, who then became agitated and spiraled into
full-blown psychosis. When Whitaker met her at age 21 she was living in a group
home for the severely mentally ill, mute, and withdrawn. Her story is
heartbreaking, and the implication is that her deterioration was triggered by
the medications she was given.

But how can one be certain of this?
Perhaps she was destined for mental illness through a combination of her genes
and the environment in the same way that some children develop cancer,
irrespective of any medications they may be taking. Perhaps without the
medications given to treat her psychosis her course would have been even worse.
Many children are treated with tricyclics for bed-wetting and the vast majority
do fine. A single case does not prove the rule, and here lies the basic problem
of this book. As Whitaker himself points out, there simply are not enough data

from well-designed, trustworthy studies. And without this information, it is
impossible to conclude anything meaningful about cause and effect.

Though
there remain unanswered questions about the efficacy of some psychiatric
medications in some patients and their long-term consequences, there is no
denying that they have brought about a huge improvement in quality of life for
millions. While it is reasonable for Whitaker to raise his concerns, it is
critical to remember that hypothesis is no substitute for data.

Ignoring
this can lead to disastrous consequences, such as occurred in South Africa at
the turn of this century. Thabo Mbeki, then president of that country, refused

to accept that AIDS was caused by the HIV virus, believing instead that it was a
side effect of malnutrition and the medications used to treat AIDS itself. In
the absence of an effective treatment and prevention program, it is estimated
that 365,000 South Africans died prematurely of AIDS between the years 2000-05
(currently, 18.1 percent of South African adults have HIV/AIDS).

Those
who would seize the opportunity to cast psychiatry as a discipline into the
rubbish heap without consideration for the benefits it has brought to so many
would do well to remember how Mbeki’s inability to distinguish between theory
and fact exacted such an enormous toll in human life and
suffering.

PROZAC: 25 Year Old Woman Commits Suicide: England

Paragraph 6 reads:  “And she said they put her on a
course of Fluoxetine [Prozac]
an anti-depressant which has been linked in some instances
with side effects which can lead to patients wanting to
commit suicide.”

Redditch mother to take Somerset NHS Trust to court over daughter’s
suicide

by John Marsden, Birmingham Post

A mother is set to take legal action against a hospital trust she claims
failed to spot her daughter’s mental illness that resulted in her
death.

Beautician Tracy Thomas was left devastated when her oldest
daughter, Kimberley, hanged herself in her bedroom just two weeks before
Christmas.

She claims Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust failed to
help 25yearold Kimberley after she repeatedly threatened to commit suicide

when she moved to the region in 2004.

Mrs Thomas, who lives in Redditch,
Worcestershire, with her three children, said Kimberely had been suffering from
Bi-Polar Disorder.

Despite Kimberley’s plea for help, Mrs Thomas said
doctors did not see her as a threat to herself.

And she said they put her
on a course of Fluoxetine – an anti-depressant which has been linked in some
instances with side effects which can lead to patients wanting to commit
suicide.

Mrs Thomas said: “If Kim had been in Worcestershire I’m sure she
would have been sectioned and been given 24-hour care.

“But doctors in
Somerset didn’t want to know. They were more concerned with transferring
resources elsewhere.

“They simply failed to see the gravity of her
illness. Of course I want an apology from the hospital but no words or money
will ever bring my daughter back.”

Mrs Thomas has now approached Irwin
Mitchell solicitors and said she intends to sue the Trust for negligence. She
has also set up a Facebook website called Survivors of Family and Friends to
Suicide, in a bid to help people who have been affected by similar
tragedies.

A spokesman for Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
said: “We offer our condolences to Mrs Thomas for the tragic death of her
daughter.

“The Trust would refute any suggestion that we were negligent
or failed to diagnose Kimberley correctly.

“We will defend ourselves
against any legal action taken against us.”

In April, an inquest heard
how former Debenhams employee Ms Thomas, of Winchester Street, Taunton, hanged
herself after a series of relationships broke down. Somerset Partnership NHS
Foundation Trust received an excellent rating from the Care Quality Commission
for its treatment of mentally ill patients last year.
