Autopsies are scheduled Saturday for a father and son believed to
have been killed in a murder-suicide in Paradise Hills.
A friend who
went to check on the men in a house on Sylvy Way near Omega Drive looked in a
window, saw what appeared to be two bodies and called 911 about 2 p.m. Saturday,
according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

A 15-year-old girl named Alyssa Bustamante
has been arrested and is going to court over killing a 9-year-old named
Elizabeth Olten ‘to see how it felt’ to kill someone.
Bustamante is to be
tried as an adult according to reports after lawmakers found out the viciousness
of her attack.

Vanderburgh County had the same number of suicides through the first half of
this year as it did in the first six months of 2008, though officials say there
has been a marked increase in self-inflicted deaths tied to the faltering
economy.
Of the 17 suicides reported through June 30, six of them
occurred after the person lost his job.

Chandler police said Carol Roby, 62, suffered a nervous breakdown after going off her Zoloft, an anti-depressant medication. Her family noticed her missing Saturday when she didn’t meet them for a 2 p.m. meeting. She also didn’t make an 8 a.m. work appointment, police said.

He made the comments publically at a family dinner in a local restaurant
A woman who stabbed her boyfriend after his repeated insulting remarks about her weight at a family dinner has been sentenced to two years in prison for the attack. The ruling took into account that she was emotionally disturbed by his comments and also that she stabbed him after mixing alcohol with anti-depressants.
It happened last year after the dinner in a local restaurant in Abrera, Barcelona province, where the victim is said to have publically told his girlfriend that she was too fat to run, and should stop eating as she was so fat and would have to find another man.
