It has been a very long time – far too long – since we have sent out newsletters from our Drugawareness site. I am starting them back up again & want to update you on all that is happening. Over the past two weeks I have had three experiences that have made me realize that no matter how overwhelmed I have been over the past couple of years,

After working as an expert in school shootings for the past two decades I have to disagree with the idea that school shootings are a gun problem or a bully problem. The world should have been able to see that after Josh Powell set his home on fire with him & his two children inside. There are many ways to kill if you are determined to do so.

It is
not too hard to find evidence of links between WebMD and drug giant Eli
Lilly.
A 2002 article on the gigantic medical site about pain and
depression says “Lilly is a WebMD Partner,” and an advertising award in 2004
went to the FCB “client” Eli Lilly & Co./WebMD–not clients.

On September 23, 2008, at Kauhajoki in Finland, a 22 year old
culinary student named Matti Saari shot and killed ten students before
killing himself. The official report on the shooting has been released
by the Finnish Ministry and on page 58 of that report [PDF file] it states that
Matti Saari was taking an SSRI medicinal product and
also a benzodiazepine.

MADISON, AL — Both the suspect and victim in Friday’s fatal
Discovery Middle School shooting belonged to the same would-be gang, officials
said Tuesday.
Speaking inside the school in front of a large poster with
Todd Brown’s picture and memorials written by students, authorities gave their
fullest picture so far of the investigation.
Brown, 14, died Friday after
being shot during a class change at the 1,001-student school. The suspect, also
14, has been charged with murder and is being held in a juvenile
facility.

For decades research has shown that impairing serotonin metabolism will produce migraines, hot flashes, pains around the heart, difficulty breathing, a worsening of bronchial complaints, tension and anxiety which appear from out of nowhere, depression, suicide – especially very violent suicide, hostility, violent crime, arson, substance abuse, psychosis, mania, organic brain disease, autism, anorexia, reckless driving, Alzheimer?s, impulsive behavior with no concern for punishment, and argumentative behavior.

Ronald Stephens, executive director of the National School Safety
Center says: Its the thought that if youre going to put Charlie Manson in my
class I have a right to know that. . . We have kids so medicated its
incredible. I dont see parents asking the question about the numbers of
children on psychotropic drugs as being all that invasive. The public would
be shocked at the number of file drawers of prescription drugs that teachers
are asked to dispense. . . . it would be a great study for someone to go back
and see how many of the kids who committed these violent acts were on these
drugs.
