Justice For Juveniles

is a group of people who have come together to try to make a change for children being tried as adults and senteneced under mandatory guidelines.

CHRIS PITTMAN PETITION

It is called Christophers Bill (The Juvenile Justice Reform Act), after the tragic 30-year sentencing of Christopher Pittman who committed a violent act on Zoloft.

One amendment of the bill states that no child under the influence of a prescribed mind altering drug can be tried as an adult under mandatory guidelines. ICFDA is pleased to support this petition and bill which will be presented to the South Carolina Legislature and eventually to the US Congress. Please give it your support by signing their online petition.

Mind Games

The BBC has released an explosive program about the suicidal aspects of SSRI medications, featuring Dr. David Healy (SSRI Expert) and Andy Vickery (Attorney) and touching on several key SSRI litigations: Matt Miller's case, the Forsyth case, the Reginold Payne case in the UK, the Joseph Wesbecker case and the David Hawkins case in Australia.

 

Seroxat (Paxil) is one of the world's biggest selling and most successful anti-depressants.

But this Panorama investigation from the BBC discovers the drug may have a darker side--the program reports that people can get hooked on it, suffering serious withdrawal symptoms when they try to come off it.

For some it can lead to self harm and even suicide. But little warning of these possible side effects accompanies the drug.
