O’FALLON, IL (KTVI-FOX2now.com) – The
family of an O’Fallon, Illinois soldier who lost his leg in Iraq is asking
serious questions about treatment at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington,
DC. There’s been an unexpected setback in Specialist Chas Shaffer’s recovery.
Fourteen months after the incident, his father says he has regressed, and he
blames the medication he’s being prescribed by army doctors.
A
young woman spoke today of her secret battle against a rare body dysmorphia
condition that has caused her to attempt suicide eight times.

South Devon magistrates in
Torquay were told Robert Lane became agitated and angry with ambulance staff who
were trying to revive the 19-year-old man.
Following the case, a
spokesman for the ambulance service said: “Any abuse, whether verbal or
physical, will not be tolerated. The trust takes incidents of this nature very
seriously.”
Mahlon R. Wolfe, age 28, Avoca, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at Avoca. He
was born Feb. 17, 1976, at Auburn, Ind., son of Michael G. and Margaret
(Householder) Wolfe. He married Roseann Groleau May 22, 1999, at Nebraska City.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Householder, and
his paternal grandmother, Dorcas D. Wolfe. Services are at 1 p.m., Tuesday,
Sept. 28, 2004, at Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home Chapel at Weeping Water. Bishop
Pat Herrick of the Church of Latterday Saints, Nebraska City, will officiate.
Cremation will follow the service.

For people in their late teens
and early 20s, taking an antidepressant may actually increase
the risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors, at least during initial
treatment. So it’s important that those patients are carefully
monitored.
The
Council of Europe member states will launch an inquiry in January 2010 on the
influence of the pharmaceutical companies on the global swine flu campaign,
focusing especially on extent of the pharma‘s industry’s influence on WHO. The
Health Committee of the EU Parliament has unanimously passed a resolution
calling for the inquiry. The step is a long-overdue move to public transparency
of a “Golden Triangle” of drug corruption between WHO, the pharma industry and
