Meet one of our newest members to join our International Coalition For Drug Awareness Facebook group – investigative reporter Martha Rosenberg.

For those of you new to this battle and unaware of the history of this battle or those who have been involved since the beginning to pave the way you need to know that Martha is an incredible reporter who has been writing about the antidepressants and atypical antipsychotics for many years now. In fact she has written some of the most hard hitting articles on this issue! An example of a recent one is posted below. She has been published widely.

We want to welcome her and thank her publicly for her tireless work in educating the public about these very dangerous drugs!

The following article was emailed to me but originally appeared in Alternet. (Please always keep in mind in learning about the atypical antipsychotics that they too are serotonergic drugs and technically should NOT be used with an antidepressant even though Abilify promotes itself as an add-on drug to antidepressant treatment!!!!!) I would encourage all of you to Google Martha Rosenberg and read and share her information far and wide!

THE MOST POPULAR DRUG IN AMERICA IS AN ANTIPSYCHOTIC — AND NO ONE REALLY KNOWS HOW IT WORKS

MARTHA ROSENBERG, ALTERNET
16 NOV 2014 AT 20:58 ET

Does anyone remember Thorazine? It was an antipsychotic given to mentally ill people, often in institutions, that was so sedating, it gave rise to the term “Thorazine shuffle.” Ads for Thorazine in medical journals, before drugs were advertised directly to patients, showed Aunt Hattie in a hospital gown, zoned out but causing no trouble to herself or anyone else. No wonder Thorazine and related drugs Haldol, Mellaril and Stelazine were called chemical straitjackets.

But Thorazine and similar drugs became close to obsolete in 1993 when a second generation of antipsychotics which included Risperdal, Zyprexa, Seroquel, Geodon and Abilify came online. Called “atypical” antipsychotics, the drugs seemed to have fewer side effects than their predecessors like dry mouth, constipation and the stigmatizing and permanent facial tics known as TD or tardive dyskinesia. (In actuality, they were similar.) More importantly, the drugs were obscenely expensive: 100 tablets of Seroquel cost as much as $2,000, Zyprexa, $1,680 and Abilify $1,644.

One drug that is a close cousin of Thorazine, Abilify, is currently the top-selling of all prescription drugs in the U.S. marketed as a supplement to antidepressant drugs, reports the Daily Beast. Not only is it amazing that an antipsychotic is outselling all other drugs, no one even knows how it works to relieve depression, writes Jay Michaelson. The standardized United States Product Insert says Abilify’s method of action is “unknown” but it likely “balances” brain’s neurotransmitters. But critics say antipsychotics don’t treat anything at all, but zone people out and produce oblivion. They also say there is a concerning rise in the prescription of antipsychotics for routine complaints like insomnia.

They are right. With new names and prices and despite their unknown methods of action, Pharma marketers have devised ways to market drugs like Abilify to the whole population, not just people with severe mental illness. Only one percent of the population, after all, has schizophrenia and only 2.5 percent has bipolar disorder. Thanks to these marketing ploys, Risperdal was the seventh best-selling drug in the world until it went off patent and Abilify currently rules.

Here are some of the ways Big Pharma made antipsychotics everyday drugs.

Approval Creep

Everyone has heard of “mission creep.” In the pharmaceutical world, approval creep means getting the FDA to approve a drug for one thing and pushing a lot of other drug approvals through on the coattails of the first one. Though the atypical antipsychotics were originally drugs for schizophrenia, soon there was a dazzling array of new uses.

Seroquel was first approved in 1997 for schizophrenia but subsequently approved for bipolar disorder, psychiatric conditions in children and finally as an add-on drug for depression like Abilify. The depression “market” is so huge, Seroquel’s last approval allowed the former schizophrenia drug to make $5.3 billion a year before it went off patent. But before the add-on approval, AstraZeneca, which makes Seroquel, ran a sleazy campaign to convince depressed people they were really “bipolar.” Ads showed an enraged woman screaming into the phone, her face contorted, her teeth clenched. Is this you, asked the ads? Your depression may really be bipolar disorder, warned the ad.

Sometimes the indication creep is under the radar. After heated FDA hearings in 2009 about extending Zyprexa, Seroquel and Geodon uses for kids–Pfizer and AstraZeneca slides showed that kids died in clinical trials–the uses were added by the FDA but never announced. They were slipped into the record right before Christmas, when no news breaks, and recorded as “label changes.” Sneaky.

And there is another “creep” which is also under the radar: “warning creep.” As atypical antipsychotics have gone into wide use in the population, more risks have surfaced. Labels now warn against death-associated risks in the elderly, children and people with depression but you have to really read the fine print. (Atypical antipsychotics are so dangerous in the elderly with dementia, at least 15,000 die in nursing homes from them each year, charged FDA drug reviewer David Graham in congressional testimony.) The Seroquel label now warns against cardiovascular risks, which the FDA denied until the drug was almost off patent.

Dosing Children

Perhaps no drugs but ADHD medications have been so widely used and often abused in children as atypical antipsychotics. Atypical antipsychotics are known to “improve” behavior in problem children across a broad range of diagnoses but at a huge price: A National Institute of Mental Health study of 119 children ages 8 to 19 found Risperdal and Zyprexa caused such obesity a safety panel ordered the children off the drugs.

In only eight weeks, kids on Risperdal gained nine pounds and kids on Zyprexa gained 13 pounds. “Kids at school were making fun of me,” said one study participant who put on 35 pounds while taking Risperdal.

Just like the elderly in state care, poor children on Medicaid are tempting targets for Big Pharma and sleazy operators because they do not make their own medication decisions. In 2008, the state ofTexas charged Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Janssen with defrauding the state of millions with “a sophisticated and fraudulent marketing scheme,” to “secure a spot for the drug, Risperdal, on the state’s Medicaid preferred drug list and on controversial medical protocols that determine which drugs are given to adults and children in state custody.”

Many other states have brought legal action against Big Pharma including compelling drug makers to pay for the extreme side effects that develop with the drugs: massive weight gain, blood sugar changes leading to diabetes and cholesterol problems.

Add-On Conditions

It’s called polypharmacy and it is increasingly popular: Prescribing several drugs, often as a cocktail, that are supposed to do more than the drugs do alone. Big Pharma likes polypharmacy for two obvious reasons: drug sales are tripled or quadrupled—and it’s not possible to know if the drugs are working. The problems with polypharmacy parallel its “benefits.” The person can’t know which, if any, of the drugs are working so they take them all. By the time someone is on four or more psychiatric drugs, there is a good chance they are on a government program and we are paying. There is also a good chance the person is on the drugs for life, because withdrawal reactions make them think there really is something wrong with them and it is hard to quit the drugs.

Into this lucrative merchandising model came the idea of “add-on” medications and “treatment-resistant depression.” When someone’s antidepressant didn’t work, Pharma marketers began floating the idea that it wasn’t that the drugs didn’t work; it wasn’t that the person wasn’t depressed to begin with but had real life, job and family problems—it was “treatment-resistant depression.” The person needed to add a second or third drug to their antidepressant, such as Seroquel or Abilify. Ka-ching.

Lawsuits Don’t Stop Unethical Marketing

Just as Big Pharma has camped out in Medicare and Medicaid, living on our tax dollars while fleeing to England so it doesn’t have to pay taxes, Pharma has also camped out in the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Arguably, no drugs have been as good for Big Pharma as atypical antipsychotics within the military. In 2009, the Pentagon spent $8.6 million on Seroquel and VA spent $125.4 million—almost $30 million more than is spent on a F/A-18 Hornet.

Risperdal was even bigger in the military. Over a period of nine years, VA spent $717 million on its generic, risperidone, to treat PTSD in troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Yet not only was risperidone not approved for PTSD, it didn’t even work. A 2011 study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found the drug worked no better than placebo and the money was totally wasted.

In the last few years, the makers of Risperdal, Seroquel and Zyprexa have all settled suits claiming illegal or fraudulent marketing. A year ago, Johnson & Johnson admitted mismarketing Risperdal in a $2.2 billion settlement. But the penalty is nothing compared with the $24.2 billion it made from selling Risperdal between 2003 to 2010 and shareholders didn’t blink. The truth is, there is too much money in hawking atypical antipsychotics to the general population for Pharma to quit.

Michael Frye – My Ten Year Zoloft Nightmare & How I Survived It

Mike Frye 3

Michael Frye

A Zoloft Survivor

My name is Michael Frye and I was a victim of Zoloft for over 10 years. I have been through this life with a lot of regrets. The biggest regret of all was ever taking the prescribed antidepressant drug Zoloft.

Zoloft Prescribed for Side Effect of Another Medication

I was taking a treatment for a virus. That medication had depression as a side effect. So my doctor felt I needed to take something for depression too. He prescribed the antidepressant Zoloft. Initial treatment for the virus also produced a side effect of blood abnormalities which overrode any benefit of that drug. So, that drug was discontinued but I continued to take Zoloft for a period of almost ten years. The Zoloft only magnified the depression and produced unusual behavior. The dosage started at 25 mg and as I reported still having depression and other side effects, they(my doctors) just raised the dosage being oblivious to the fact that they were killing me with the increasing of the dosage. Once I achieved 150 mg dosage, I just have a blank period of time and memory loss of about 3 or 4 years. I will never fill in those blanks for I feel that is long term memory damage.I have since also learned that the reason I stayed on the drug so long is likely because most doctors have no clue how to withdraw patients correctly from antidepressants. Because of this they are afraid to take patients off because of the horrible withdrawal. So doctors generally just tell you that you need to stay on these drugs for life!

Forced Into Abrupt Withdrawal Due to Life Threatening Side Effects

I was forced into cold turkey withdrawal because I was so close to death. I was hemorrhaging out the ears, mouth, eyes and rectum. I was in a state so near death, cold turkey was my only choice at that point. I would recommend no one ever try that method! It is much too dangerous and nothing anyone would ever want to endure. I do not know how I survived but for the grace of God! Gradual withdrawal is much safer and far less painful!

Out of Character Behavior Led to Divorce

During that ten year period, I started displaying bizarre behavior. I had been married and happily married until the medicine took its toll on me. I started being hostile with my family, friends, and coworkers. During that period I displayed unusual behavior and it tore my family apart after a 20 year marriage. I was divorced in 2009 after almost twenty years. I was separated from my daughter who graduated in 2010. I also suffered the uncontrollable cravings for alcohol that are so common with antidepressants.

Multiple Congestive Heart Failures

I have suffered (3) congestive heart failures after being on Zoloft and I have no hereditary predisposition to heart disease. But I have since learned that heart disease is linked to antidepressants. (http://www.wellnessresources.com/freedom/articles/antidepressants_strongly_linked_to_heart_disease/?)

Bone Density Problems

I have severe bone density issues as well as the inability to absorb calcium in any form. What goes along with this is the inability to keep platelet counts normal.

Agranulocytosis – Often Fatal Side Effect

I also now have agranulocytosis which is often fatal. I have found that papaya leaf extract in liquid and capsule form help with those issues. Iowa Select Herbs (http://stores.iowaselectherbs.com) provide the best quality I have found.

Liver Failure & Pancreatic Problems Lead to Answers

Most doctors just label this problem as liver and pancreatic issues associated with liver disorders. I know they are incorrect in all their diagnosis’s of me. I have experimented with their diagnosis as well as consulted with an expert on antidepressants who has written and lectured and testified about these drugs around the world, Ann Blake-Tracy, the Executive Director of the International Coalition For Drug Awareness (www.drugawareness.org) and author of Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? – Our Serotonin Nightmare. And subsequently learned what the real problem stems from. Sad to say but most physicians are ignorant to the fact that antidepressants cause these issues. In my case the problem was the Zoloft itself, especially after taking it for ten years. But I have since learned how to counteract the damage by listening to my body in healing these issues. I tend to get better results from natural and homeopathic healing.

I started having blood sugar issues where my blood sugar would swing from very low levels to extremely high levels and told my doctors about them. Yet they came up with negative results for a non-fasting test. My pancreas became enlarged, my gall bladder quit working, my liver was very toxic and my brain started showing damage as well.

Warning to Others

I did not know until 2011 or early 2012 that my problems were related to the antidepressant drug Zoloft. I was tired of misdiagnosis’s and started doing research myself. Several experts assisted me in the diagnosis and the cold turkey withdrawal and the healing. I have just begun to fight to get all the things back that I was robbed of. This is my year for all things to be restored! This is also a warning to all my friends and relatives! Do not allow your doctor to put you on antidepressants without reading the fine lines. Your life depends on it. Your loved ones lives depend on it. Be informed. Everything cannot be cured with a pill. God has a way of healing us naturally. I invite you to try His methods first.

Liver Transplant?!

I would say I am at the far end of recovery from taking the drug Zoloft. I have been diagnosed with end stage liver disease and the damage is from Zoloft. I was given a limited amount of time to live and they said I would need a liver transplant to live. I have stage 4 fibrosis/cirrhosis and have started healing myself. I hope what I post will help others to survive as I am doing.

Additional Serious Reactions

Almost 2 months ago I had an ammonia content in my blood of 319 with 75 to 78 being normal. My legs were swelling as well as my abdomen and pancreas. My renal function was very poor. I could not even have a normal bowel movement except maybe once a week. My short term memory was still an issue and my WBC and RBC were off the charts. My bone marrow was being suppressed and my back pain was so severe that I had to lie down at all hours of the day. I was hopeless and depressed to the max.

Encouragement

I still did not give up! I have a strong faith in God and I know he has a purpose for me. So what I am about to post may be an inspiration to others. I certainly hope so. Here it is as follows and I may say that this information I am providing is based on my individual results. It is not intended to cure any disease or prevent any disease. It was just my way of healing the damages to my body caused by Zoloft.

How Bad Things Got

After having a liver biopsy in August 2013, I had decreased white blood cells and red blood cells. I had an ammonia content in the blood of 319 and I had no platelet functions. My blood would not clot. I bled out on the biopsy table. At that time I decided to do what I could to change the quality of life I was living. I have no immune system and of course brain and organ damage from Zoloft.

Steps I Took to Recovery

What I am about to post is what worked for me and radically changed both my physical and mental state.

~ I began regular consultations with Ann Blake Tracy at www.drugawareness.org

~ I started eating a vegan diet – mostly raw or slightly steamed.~ I began a regimen of no red meats and only white meat, excluding pork. It was mostly fish broiled and not fried which I have now stopped eating meat and dairy altogether.

~ I ate raw broccoli and other green leafy vegetables, onions and fresh garlic.

~ I started taking or making fruit and vegetable smoothies which included uncooked raw vegetable juices.

~ I used flax seed oil and omega 3 oils.

~ I had amazing results using Sovereign Silver for the pancreatitis I developed.

~ I used Young Living oils of Lemon, Frankincense, Peppermint and Valor. The Valor and Peppermint helped my back pain. Lemon lifted my spirits and Frankincense helped with so many things that I don’t know what I would have done without it.  More info here: http://www.drugawareness.org/alternatives/

~ I used milk thistle for my liver.

~ For each morning detox I use a cup of 165 Deg. Green Tea steeped with a slice of organic lemon. This helps to detoxify the Zoloft out of my system.

~ I then discovered about a month into the raw vegetables a brand of fruit and veggie smoothie. The brand name is “Bolthouse Farms” and it is even available at WalMart. The most beneficial of their smoothies was the “Green Goodness and the “Blue Goodness”. They have produced some amazing results. They even have wheat grass in them.

Amazing Results

I dropped almost 40 lbs of weight in less than a month. My mind became clearer, my energy level increased 100%. No more depressive moods!

My ammonia level was at 319, which is critical and life threatening, lowered itself naturally to 75 in less than thirty days.

At 52 I am in better shape now than I was in my body building days of the early 80’s. I feel almost bullet proof. I have stabilized my weight at 198 pounds and while on Zoloft I was over 230 pounds.

My heart is healing and the cramps have gone away. I believe that the cramps were being caused by the elevated serotonin because the main function of serotonin is constriction of muscle tissue. I tried the magnesium and the calcium supplements but they did not work on the painful cramps. Yet after only a week of daily taking the smoothies with the wheat grass, the cramps disappeared.

What I want to make clear is to experiment with raw vegetables and fruit and veggie smoothies until you achieve your optimal health. I could not emphasize this more … “Until you rid yourself from the toxins of antidepressants and other prescribed drugs, you are just existing and not living.”

I wish you all the best. I believe that the information I have given you, based on my experience, will help you recover. I am healing!

October 2014 Update

I just got an email from Michael that needs to be shared. He began having additional problems with his liver failing and pancreatic function shutting down leading to diabetes. This is the update I just got today:

” I have been using Aloe Vera juice to detox my liver, and my pancreatic function was gone. I was becoming diabetic.  After one gallon of cold pressed aloe, my blood sugar stabilized and the size of my pancreas reduced 200% and now insulin function is normal. So common sense would dictate that all our sicknesses can be cured through natural God given plants and herbs.

“I also eat papaya fruit and my hematologist told me I could not raise my red blood cells or platelet count. But just papaya fruit, leaf, and liquid extract has nearly tripled my platelets.

“They actually had sent me home to die. They said a blood transfusion or platelets would not help. Boy did I prove them wrong through Biblical methods. I am healing. Thank you for all your help.”

[I must caution you that the above statement from Michael has not been approved by the FDA …. the same FDA who brought you Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, Celexa, Lexapro, Fen-Phen, Redux, Vioxx, Effexor, Stratera, Cymbalta, Pristiq, Brisdelle, Wellbutrin, Trazadone, Risperdal, Clozaril, Zyprexa, etc., etc., etc.]

Good Luck and May God Bless You All!

12 Year Old Opens Fire in NM School Gym Injuring Two

Mason Campbell

Mason Campbell, 12, NM School Shooter

Yet another school shooting while the government wastes time looking for ways to ban guns and drug more people deemed “mentally ill” because if they admit it is being caused by the drugs they approved as “safe and effective” where does that leave them? So it continues and we are left to ask once again, “How many more must die before the truth be told about the deadly antidepressant drugs that are the common denominator in over 95% of school shootings?”

Why are we continuing to talk about guns when guns have been in homes for centuries in America and the school shootings only became an issue after the SSRI antidepressants were introduced to the market? When I was a kid (I may be dating myself) growing up in Arizona everyone had guns. In fact all the cowboys brought their rifles to school because they always kept them hanging in the back window of their pickup trucks. We never had shootings or threats of shootings or arguments where someone pulled out a gun to settle the dispute. Those only began to become epidemic when the first SSRI antidepressant, Prozac, hit the market the end of 1987.

In New Mexico children as young as this young man cannot be tried as an adult.

Additional Critical Information on School Shootings

Prophetic statement to me by a pharmacist on school shootings in 1999:

“The symptoms I see in patients who abuse serotonergic drugs of any form…could aptly be described as the “Hitler syndrome” (over confidence in ones own policies or decisions, no fear of consequences, criminal behavior, death of people close to the abuser as the preferred method of solving problems in the abusers life, coldness and lack of humanity). I feel that in twenty years or less we will be confronted not with one Hitler but with thousands or millions… numbers so great that we will be forced to interact with their distorted thinking on a daily basis. (Littleton, CO., Riverton, KS., Jonesboro, AR., eventually little Hitlers in every town in America will grow up into BIG HITLERS) It is happening right now.

“The most insidious factor about long-term serotonin abuse is that it enhances the individuals persona to the point that they are able to manipulate others into their way of thinking just as Hitler did. This causes the distorted thinking, abnormal behavior, and loss of morality to spread like a contagion to otherwise normal people who have not even been exposed to the drugs. Those on the drugs are converted by the pharmacologic/physiologic processes into sociopathic demagogues.

“Do you have any comments on these thoughts, Ann? Please respond. Tell me we are not the only ones who see what is happening to our world!” (From Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? – Our Serotonin Nightmare)

ANTIDEPRESSANTS AND TEACHERS OF THE YEAR COMMITING SEX ABUSE NATIONWIDE

Ethel Anderson, FL Teacher of the Year, Gets 38 years

This week Tampa, FL teacher of the year Ethel Anderson got 38 years for sexually abusing a 12 year old male student she was tutoring.

Erica DePalo, NJ Teacher of the Year acquitted

While earlier this year Erica DePalo, NJ Teacher of the Year was acquitted for the same thing because her attorney at least knew enough to use the antidepressant defense in her case. She was already diagnosed Bipolar and had been given an antidepressant which he noted was a mistake pushing her into a manic reaction resulting in her skewed judgment.

“During Monday’s hearing there were revelations that DePalo suffered from depression and anxiety since she was in college and had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder several years ago. According to her defense attorney, Anthony Alfano, after her arrest DePalo discovered she was mistakenly prescribed with anti-depressants instead of mood stabilizers. He added, “the drugs contributed to her errors in judgment.”

I have tracked these cases since the mid 90’s since they were basically unheard of before that time. In my investigation of cases during that time I can tell you that to find a female teacher who has sexually abused a male student who is not taking an antidepressant is next to impossible!! In all that time I have found one that reportedly did not involve antidepressant use, but was not able to ask enough questions in that case to see if it happened to be an antidepressant withdrawal mania that had caused that one.

As I discuss in my book on SSRI antidepressants, Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? Our Serotonin Nightmare, serotonin is directly connected to sexual compulsions. Studies show that pedophilia includes elevated levels of serotonin and we know elevated serotonin is a component in mania and mania is directly connected to gross errors in judgment when it comes to sexual behavior and sex abuse as I reported in my presentation to the FDA in their 12/2006 hearing on antidepressants: http://www.drugawareness.org/fda-testimony/dr-ann-blake-tracys-december-13-2006-to-the-fda

Yet another school shooting today with reporters asking why another in Colorado again?

I can tell them why!

Original article: http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/13/us/colorado-school-shooting/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

Yet another school shooting today with reporters asking why another in Colorado again?

I can tell them why! It is because when Columbine happened they used the funds coming in to help the survivors to build a new counseling center where they peddled antidepressants like crazy! The kids could not even pick up their mail from those sending condolences to them unless they picked them up at the new counseling center where they would of course do all they could to put more of them on the meds. And it was not just the children, but whole families. Therefore much of Colorado became medicated at that point.

We then began to watch more and more cases involving antidepressants came in from Colorado.

So now we wait to see how long it will take to find out what this young man was taking. But while we wait I would encourage you all to share with as many as you can our list of school shootings: http://www.drugawareness.org/ssri-nightmares/school-shootings/ along with our list of school shootings in video format: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpFoivbZH1o&feature=youtu.be and our video of a school shooting incident Why I Took a Gun to School … http://www.drugawareness.org/recentcasesblog/why-i-took-a-gun-to-school-1 where the young man who took a gun to school while under the influence of Effexor and in withdrawal from Paxil explains what happened to him. As far as I know this is the only interview of a school shooter talking about what happened because most commit suicide after as this young man did today in Colorado.

Also see this same young man involved in that shooting incident as he joins together with Mark Taylor, the first boy shot at Columbine High, to tell the world why these shootings continue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPOcNp5OgyY

DO NOT SUFFER PANIC ATTACKS IF YOU WANT YOUR CHILDREN!!!

pregnant woman

Thanks to Daniel Duke for bringing our attention to this case out of England along with the reminder that this is what we will have to look forward to with Obamacare! Sadly this was a mother trying to protect her baby by coming off medications known to produce death and serious birth defects while a government stepped in to forcibly put her back on the drugs thus exposing her child to even more damage. Then they forced the baby from her body and stole her child after doing that. Now they will force the public to pay for the damage they forced upon the child via those drugs which we know can affect the child the rest of its life both physically and mentally, not to mention all the emotions of going through such an ordeal!

An Italian woman, apparently attempting to withdraw from her antidepressant and other medications for Bipolar Disorder during her pregnancy – which withdrawal, especially if abrupt, regularly causes panic attacks, indeed did suffer a panic attack while visiting in England to attend a class. She called police (which appears to be a very dangerous thing to do any longer for any reason!). They took her to a hospital, she thought. She quickly learned it was instead a psychiatric facility.

Then the Child and Family services got a court order to take her child – yes the child still in the womb. So four weeks later she was sedated and the baby forcibly taken by Cesarean Section!!!!!!! Then the child was placed for adoption because they were not sure she would not have additional problems in the future!!!!

Now remember she was an Italian citizen, and was only visiting in England at the time this happened to her! She has now hired an attorney to fight for the child that was literally forcibly taken from her womb. Where on earth have any semblance of human rights gone?!!!!!

According the original article:

“She suffered a panic attack, which her relations believe was due to her failure to take regular medication for an existing bipolar condition….She called the police, who became concerned for her well-being and took her to a hospital, which she then realized was a psychiatric facility.

“She has told her lawyers that when she said she wanted to return to her hotel, she was restrained and sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

“Meanwhile, Essex social services obtained a High Court order in August 2012 for the birth “to be enforced by way of caesarean section”, according to legal documents seen by this newspaper.

“The woman, who says she was kept in the dark about the proceedings, says that after five weeks in the ward she was forcibly sedated. When she woke up she was told that the child had been delivered by C-section and taken into care.
In February, the mother, who had gone back to Italy, returned to Britain to request the return of her daughter at a hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court.
Her lawyers say that she had since resumed taking her medication, and that the judge formed a favorable opinion of her. But he ruled that the child should be placed for adoption because of the risk that she might suffer a relapse.”

PLEASE keep in mind my previous posts about social service workers and the massive insanity so many of them suffer as a result of their widespread use of antidepressants! In 1992 we know that 60% of state employees were taking antidepressants! How high could it be now? And who monitors them when their medication-induced delusions affect the innocent people they have authority over? These social workers who are self proclaimed “nut cases,” once they have come off these drugs and come to their senses again, are causing sheer havoc in our society with no checks and balances!

And as one author puts it, this case is only one of thousands more!!!!! Read this eye-opening article “Child Taken From Womb by Social Services is Tip of Massive Iceberg  http://jolliffe.wordpress.com/2013/12/02/child-taken-from-womb-by-social-services-is-tip-of-massive-iceberg/

But this case may have gotten enough publicity to at least gain an appearance of justice as a judge demands a good reason for this and declares families should not be broken up.   “Explain why you snatched baby girl at birth: Judge’s order to social workers behind forced caesarean”

Are Vivid Dreams A Concern in Antidepressant Use?

Dr

Dr. Tracey Marks

Thanks to our Southern Washington State Director for ICFDA (International Coalition for Drug Awareness) who learned firsthand how deadly vivid dreams are in association with antidepressant use when his son took a gun to school in a dream state while on Effexor and in withdrawal from Paxil and held his classmates at gunpoint for what seemed an eternity for some.

Dr. Marks downplays any importance of the SSRIs repression of REM sleep and the vivid dreams or nightmares associated with these drugs and even suggests switching to another antidepressant if this reaction bothers you…yet she gives no warning of the dangers of switching medications by going off abruptly and then on another one abruptly – the way all meds are prescribed.

My response to this video and the incorrect information relayed:

“This is perhaps the MOST IRRESPONSIBLE statement I have ever heard on antidepressant adverse reactions!!! These antidepressant-induced vivid dreams are the most dangerous reactions anyone can have next to Serotonin Syndrome. That is because the vivid dreams indicate you are on the verge of suffering an antidepressant-induced REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD) where you act out these dreams or nightmares! Add to that the fact that in RBD 80% are known to hurt themselves or someone else. RBD is even known to result in murder and suicide committed in a sleep state! Before SSRIs RBD was rare but not now and now 86% of those being diagnosed are taking an antidepressant – a figure shocking even to the world’s leading experts on this disorder who found this percentage!

“The repression of REM sleep via a medication reaction or sleep deprivation has long been known as a trigger for psychotic breaks. So I am confused as to why would you tell patients not to worry about this? Eric Harris, the lead shooter at Columbine, had those vivid dreams about killing his classmates for some time on the antidepressant Luvox before acting out those dreams on April 20, 1999!

“I have raised the issue of this deadly sleep disorder associated with antidepressants often preceded by the vivid dreams for 2 1/2 decades and would like to know if you have vested interests due to working for a pharmaceutical company? Or are you trying to avoid a wrongful death suit brought by a patient who suffered this reaction? Something just does not smell right when you are downplaying such a deadly reaction to antidepressants.”

LAX SHOOTING – APPARENTLY TSA POLICY WAS CAUSE OF DEATH

AnaHernandez

ANA HERNANDEZ

Well whether LAX shooter, Paul Ciancia, was on an antidepressant or not, it appears that the charge of “murder” needs to at least be downgraded to “attempted murder” for him.

Why?

No, the TSA agent has not been brought back from the dead, but a preliminary report indicates something that should not surprise anyone who flies…apparently Gerardo Hernandez did not die from the gunshot, but instead lost his life to TSA policy that kept emergency responders from entering the area to help him for 33 minutes – 28 minutes after Paul Ciancia had been taken into custody. The preliminary report strongly indicates that Mr. Hernandez apparently bled to death during that period.

Clearly the threat to society from antidepressants is not just the impulsive and delusional violence they are known to produce, but also the threat from so many brains that can no longer function as they should in order to respond as one would expect in an emergency situation. Patients have long referred to antidepressants as the “I don’t give a damn” drugs. Some mothers have discontinued the drugs because they have realized that in emergency situations they do not respond rapidly enough which could cost them the lives of their children. When I did an interview with Salt Lake City Magazine in 1992 the reporter made an interesting find – 60% of Utah State employees were currently taking antidepressants!

Who knows how high it must be now as this antidepressant plague has crossed the country and circled the world! We have recently learned that 25% of Parliament in Australia is on them and 25% of Australian physicians are on them. How many who stood by and watched this man die were on them? And the next time you call 911 what are the responders in your situation going to be under the influence of? I propose that this is as dangerous a situation, if not more so, than those antidepressant users who become hostile and aggressive going on shooting sprees.

From the original article we read:

TSA OFFICER BLED FOR 33 MINUTES IN LAX SHOOTING

LOS ANGELES — An airport security officer lay helplessly bleeding after a gunman opened fire at Los Angeles International Airport as paramedics waited 150 yards away because police had not declared the terminal safe to enter, according to two law enforcement officials.

It would be 33 minutes before Transportation Security Administration Officer Gerardo Hernandez, who was about 20 feet from an exit, would be wheeled out by police to an ambulance, said the officials, who were briefed on the investigation and spoke on condition of anonymity because the probe was still ongoing into the Nov. 1 shooting.

For all but five of those minutes, there was no threat from the suspected gunman — he had been shot and was in custody, they said.

While it’s not known when Hernandez died or if immediate medical attention could have saved his life…

The head of the TSA union on Friday said he was appalled at the news, calling the delay “absolutely unacceptable,” according to KNBC-TV. American Federation of Government Employees president J. David Cox Sr. is calling for a “serious reexamination” of TSA security policies.

Formal conclusions may take months to reach, but what’s known raises the possibility that a lack of coordination between police and fire officials prevented speedy treatment for Hernandez and other victims….click link below to continue reading…

Antidepressant-induced suicide by train

Excellent article from Antidepaware detailing inquests in three cases of mothers throwing themselves in front of trains after being given antidepressants for PND! Our thanks goes out to our New Zealand Director of the International Coalition for Drug Awareness for bringing this article to us. I have found that it is almost impossible to find a suicide by train that does not involve the use of an antidepressant!

Let me also add to this article on PND that in gathering the thousands of antidepressant-induced tragedies over the past two and a half decades for our SSRIstories database (www.ssristories.drugawareness.org) I have also found the lack of suicides or psychosis in unmedicated moms suffering PND. It is rare to find a mother who commits suicide or goes into psychosis unless they are being medicated with an antidepressant.

One point I have always made in these cases of PND is to encourage all to check antidepressant package inserts where you will find that the possibility of suffering psychosis as a side effect from an antidepressant as opposed to the possibility of Post Partum Psychosis from PND is ten fold greater with the antidepressant than PND alone. Why increase a mother’s chances of psychosis so drastically by adding an antidepressant when the psychosis can lead to the mother taking not only her own life, but the life of her child as well?

I encourage all to read this article! http://antidepaware.co.uk/medicating-post-natal-depression/
