Comment from local news media KTNV TV by Ann Blake-Tracy · Top Commenter · Executive Director, International Coalition for Drug Awareness (www.drugawareness.org) at Executive Director, International Coalition for Drug Awareness

“After over two decades of tracking murder/suicides, school shootings, workplace violence and mothers killing their children I can say without hesitation that the answer to this tragedy lies in the prescription drugs the father was taking especially when he was likely being medicated by the VA.

From the article below we read: “Jenice said her husband, who was a Desert Storm vet, had recently been taking prescription drugs and may have been drinking following the argument.”

“I have a current case of diagnosed “homicidal ideation” produced by the antidepressants Celexa and Remeron in a young military man. I am absolutely shocked by the multiple drugs they handed out like candy to him that all interact negatively and then refused to give them for weeks at a time when the FDA has warned that any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant, whether increasing or decreasing, can cause suicide, hostility or psychosis!

“The large number of murder/suicides in those you would never expect such behavior from is epidemic and shocking and almost always related to antidepressants or other serotonergic medications!!!”

WARNING: In sharing this information about adverse reactions to antidepressants I always recommend that you also give reference to my CD on safe withdrawal, Help! I Can’t Get Off My Antidepressant!, so that we do not have more people dropping off these drugs too quickly – a move which I have warned from the beginning can be even more dangerous than staying on the drugs!

The FDA also now warns that any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant can produce suicide, hostility or psychosis. And these reactions can either come on very rapidly or even be delayed for months depending upon the adverse effects upon sleep patterns when the withdrawal is rapid! MOTHER INTERVIEWED IN LAS VEGAS MURDER/SUICIDE OF HUSBAND AND DAUGHTER

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) — The North Las Vegas woman who watched her husband kill himself, just moments after he killed their 25-year-old daughter is speaking out.

“I just hate that they are saying it was a heated family argument. It wasn’t. It was four and a half, five hours later,” Jenice Landis said.

Jenice said she is still trying to figure out how an argument over housework at midnight led her husband, Greg, to kill their daughter, Amanda then himself Sunday morning.

“I just told him, ‘Greg I’m really not feeling good. I really need to sleep can we do this tomorrow. I know this is a ridiculous argument you are having with me.’ And Amanda woke up and said, ‘Dad, leave her alone and let her sleep.’ That is about all there was to the argument,” Jenice said.

Jenice and her daughter were staying in the same room while Jenice recovered from surgery.
They both went to sleep only to be jolted awake around 5 a.m.

“I woke up to gunfire and flashes and gun smoke. I rolled off the bed and I know that is the only reason I am alive, because I felt gunshots going by me and I looked at my daughter and he had shot her in the chest and her chest was nothing but blood and gore,” Jenice said.

Jenice then said her 52-year-old husband turned the gun on himself, leaving her to wonder how the man she was married to for 27 years could do such a thing.

“I didn’t think my husband would ever hurt one of his children. He wasn’t that person,” Jenice said.

Jenice said her husband, who was a Desert Storm vet, had recently been taking prescription drugs and may have been drinking following the argument.

Police said they will not be able to confirm that until they get toxicology results back. For now, Jenice and Amanda’s twin brother are just working to cope with the loss.

“My daughter was a beautiful creature and her life ended way too soon, and I don’t want people to ruin that celebration of her life that we are going to have,” Jenice said.

North Las Vegas Police are not releasing many details about the murder-suicide or details about the fight, saying it is too early in the investigation.

TOXICOLOGY RELEASED: ANTIDEPRESSANTS AND NEWTOWN SCHOOL SHOOTING???

Adam Lanza

ADAM LANZA

ANTIDEPRESSANTS AND NEWTOWN SCHOOL SHOOTING???:

From the article below you will see that we are now hearing that Adam Lanza’s toxicology has been released and was clear for any alcohol, illegal drugs or prescription medication.

After tracking school shootings for two decades I will say DON’T believe it!!! Why? Take a look at this list again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpFoivbZH1o&feature=youtu.be

… and here is the direct link to this list where you can read more on each individual case: http://www.drugawareness.org/ssri-nightmares/school-shootings

WITHDRAWAL: The report has no mention of withdrawal or the fact that the FDA has warned that any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant can produce suicide, hostility or psychosis – all of which we witnessed on 12-14-12 in Newtown, CT. Thus, rather than dismissing the possibility of one of these drugs being involved it should open up even more questions about medical records that have not been disclosed.

NOT THE NORM: As you can see it is not the norm for a school shooter NOT to be on an antidepressant which is why I have learned to continue asking questions until all questions are answered.

TOXICOLOGY TESTING: What you need to know about toxicology tests is that they do not have tests for many newer medications. It takes some time for them to be developed. For instance when working with the family of the Amish school shooter in Lancaster, PA area we found that if we did not know WHICH medication we wanted them to look for that they could not test for it. His mother and I had wondered if someone at work or a friend might have shared with him something they felt had worked for them. (Happens all the time! Or they will even slip something into someone’s drink feeling they are helping them.) But with us having no way of knowing which of all the medications that might be they could not test him for an antidepressant.

GOOD INDICATION FOR TOXICOLOGY: Yet we had good reason to test for an antidepresant in that case. You see 85 year old Sarah Glick (who lost a relative in the shooting) owned a health store there and Sarah has long been a dear friend who greatly admires my work and has had me come and lecture there several times. Sarah called to let me know that the shooter had recently sent word that he wanted to come and try something natural for his depression “since nothing else had worked.” Well obviously anything else he had tried would not have been natural if he was wanting to come and try something natural after using whatever it was he had used previously.

PATIENCE: If there is one thing I have learned from these cases over the past two decades it is that someone somewhere knows the truth and sooner or later it will surface if you wait. I have learned patience. In one case it took over a decade to get the truth but thanks to one of our directors with the International Coalition for Drug Awareness we did. And no, that case is not yet on the list you see, nor are at least three other documented school shooting incidents which are missing from this list because I have not yet had a chance to add them due to so many new cases of antidepressant-induced violence coming in non-stop.

WARNING: In sharing this information about adverse reactions to antidepressants we always recommend that you also give reference to the CD on safe withdrawal, Help! PLACEBO PERFORMS AS WELL AS ANTIDEPRESSANT IN TREATING DEPRESSION

NIH study

PLACEBO PERFORMS AS WELL AS ANTIDEPRESSANTS

THIS INFORMATION FIRST CAME TO LIGHT 5 YEARS AGO BUT FEW SEEM TO HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE, SO IN CASE YOU MISSED IT THIS INFORMATION DEFINITELY BARES REPEATING AND WE NEED YOU TO SHARE IT SO THAT OTHERS BECOME AWARE. WHAT IS LEFT OUT OF THE ARTICLE BELOW ON THIS NEW STUDY BY THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH IS THAT UNLIKE AN ANTIDEPRESSANTS, A PLACEBO COSTS MUCH LESS, LACKS WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME, AND HAS FEWER SIDE EFFECTS OR AFTER EFFECTS!!!

Study: Placebo performs as well as antidepressant drugs in treating depression

by: Jonathan Benson,

(NaturalNews) The more that researchers truly study the effects of antidepressant drugs on depression patients, the more it becomes painfully obvious that these mind-altering medications are utterly useless. A new study conducted by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) has revealed that antidepressant drugs work no better than talk therapy, placebo pills, or basically anything else, at relieving depression.

Funded in part by the drug industry, the new study follows the same pattern as several other recent studies that, even though they were not intended to do so, actually expose antidepressant drugs as a scam.

Drug Awareness Big News – What We Have Been Putting Together For You!!!!

WE ARE EXCITED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE STARTING A DRUG AWARENESS MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM TO BETTER HELP TO SHARE INFORMATION & EDUCATE AS MANY AS POSSIBLE ABOUT THESE DRUGS…WHAT HAS GONE ON IN MEDICINE & IN COURTROOMS, & IN THE MEDIA SINCE THEY WERE FIRST INTRODUCED. WE HAVE PUT TOGETHER AN ENTIRE LIBRARY OF AUDIO & VIDEO TO TAKE YOU THROUGH THE HISTORY OF THE PAST 20+ YEARS SINCE THESE DRUGS WERE INTRODUCED. (YOU MAY SKIP BELOW TO OPPORTUNITY TO SEE WHAT WE HAVE PUT TOGETHER FOR YOU OR SEE OUR HISTORY DETAILED BELOW.)

HISTORY/BACKGROUND: Most of you know that since 1990 I have been researching serotonin & antidepressants & gathering information from the media & court cases on these drugs. You also know that I began gathering cases involving these drugs at the same time. At a local meeting in Salt Lake City of those concerned about Prozac people begged me to become the local director for the Prozac Survivor’s Support Group. I graciously declined explaining that I did not see how I could spend the time researching & writing my book about antidepressants & do that as well. My world turned upside down the following day when the 20 year old son of a local attorney jumped to his death outside my downtown office window. His dying words to the responding officers included the fact that he was on Prozac. That was the day I agreed to become the Utah director for the Prozac Survivor’s Support Group. In September of that year I testified before the first FDA hearing on Prozac & now am the only one who has attended every FDA hearing on SSRI antidepressants ever held.

When Rosie Meysenberg & I met in 1996 we joined forces in gathering & documenting these cases. We began with gathering a group of antidepressant cases of women who were committing very violent murders & murder/suicides – something that stood out in society as a rarity. Rosie & I continued this effort gathering cases of murder/suicide, parents killing children, children killing parents, school shootings, workplace violence, road rage, air rage, False Accusations of Sexual Abuse, soldiers committing suicide, murder & murder/suicides, female school teachers seducing male students, etc. A decade later Rosie & her husband Gene paid me a visit to gather and consolidate as many cases as possible gathered over the years to began putting together a searchable database of these cases to post on the internet. That database is now located at www.ssristories.drugawareness.org & has been the basis for two major medical research studies so far. Sadly Rosie left us a week ago to join those whose battle we have been fighting for two decades before getting a chance to see in action what she knew we were working on.

Then in 1997 Mark Miller, who had recently lost his 13 year old only son, Matt, to a Zoloft-induced suicide, after only one week on the drug, joined Rosie & I to put up our website at www.drugawareness.org . He did a marvelously impressive job taking Drug Awareness quickly to the top of the charts on the net as so many families searched for answers as to what had happened in their families! This was the humble beginnings of the International Coalition for Drug Awareness. Over the years many have joined us in this battle for truth about antidepressants & their impact upon our society.

Also over the years everyone seemed to expect me to gather the media coverage in the newspapers, magazines & television. It seemed that I quickly became the antidepressant library for the planet documenting the peddling of these drugs to our world. That is what we are opening up now to make available to everyone. Since 1991 I have been doing radio & television shows & newspaper & magazine articles/interviews on the SSRI antidepressants. I have lost track of just how many, but they are all safely tucked away to document this antidepressant age & stand as a witness of all that has happened as a result. We are pulling them all out, dusting off the cobwebs & making them available to our members. More & more will be added each & every month.

DRUG AWARENESS MEMORIAL: We also want you to be aware of the memorial area we made available a few years ago. This is for you to place videos or just pictures of your loved one lost to these deadly antidepressant drugs. If you have not yet put together a video collage of your loved one we do have professionals who will do so for you at a discount so that you too may post your own video. I encourage you to go to the memorial area of our website to see how to go about this. Please allow people to see how much our world has lost with the loss of your loved one – their talents & contributions they would have offered to our world that we will now never see because of these drugs. You understand & feel that loss more than anyone because you were blessed to know them so well. Make the world see what you saw in them so that they can understand too what all was lost when we lost them! I refuse to allow them to remain numbers! I want to world to see them for who they were.  Memorial

Rosie and ssristories.drugawareness.org

For all of you who have appreciated www.ssristories.com I would encourage you to post a quick thank you note for Rosie Meysenberg, our Texas director for the International Coalition for Drug Awareness.  Since the mid 90’s Rosie & I have worked together in gathering cases involving SSRI antidepressants. Those early stories formed the beginning of www.ssristories.drugawareness.org. She & her husband, Gene, put together the SSRIstories website, an incredible searchable database of these cases & then Rosie began to add more and more cases as the search engines became more and more available to us on the internet for news articles. Finally reaching a total of almost 5000 cases. Two major medical articles have already been written with this database as the catalyst.

Now Rosie is battling cancer & for the last two weeks Hospice has been there assisting she & her husband with her care. She is asking for our prayers. Please join us in praying for her. And please send her a thank you for the great work she has done for us all – dedicating her life to documenting these cases for us at great sacrifice on her part.

The following is the link to her Caring Bridges page where you can leave a message:

And the following is the latest update from her sister-in-law:

A word about Rosie
I know that all of you who have been so gracious to write in Rosie’s guestbook, also are probably wondering how she is doing. Hospice has been helping them for the last couple weeks. Rosie is bedridden and very weak. Gene prints all of your messages and reads them to her so keep them coming. Mostly she wants and needs your prayers. We all know and love Rosie so lets be there for her. Thank you so much.

STOP ANTIDEPRESSANT VIOLENCE from ESCALATING

Tonight I got a call from a close friend I have known for over 20 years. He called to let me know that his 32 year old niece committed suicide on antidepressants today leaving her husband & three children behind. Last week I got a call from another close friend whose son-in-law made several very impulsive serious suicide attempts after taking only one Zoloft. So why you ask do I do what I do in working so hard to educate others to the dangers of these drugs? Because … no matter who you are … antidepressants come through your back door when you are not looking & destroy lives of those you love!!!

This is the link to a site posted by an amazing young man who has been able to accomplish this much from inside a prison cell after he killed his father while on Prozac when he was just a teen: http://www.thesaveproject.com/ I do hope you click on Kurt’s site and watch the video that was a Primetime special we did a few years back. In the video you will see MANY of those I have worked with over the years that have come to be like family to me. I cry everytime I think of the precious lives that have been lost to us all because of these deadly drugs!!!!!

Waterside man ran around with axe

A MAN who admitted running
around the Waterside with an axe has been given a three month jail term
suspended for three years.

Gary Keith Millar, 40, pleaded guilty to
possessing an offensive weapon on July 19, 2009.

A previous hearing, the
court heard that police were called to the Bonds Street area to investigate
reports of a man ‘running round with an axe in an agitated state.

The
40-year-old went into his brother’s house and family members were able to remove
the top of the axe and give it to police.

Millar was arrested and during
interview said he had very little recollection of the incident. He told police
the axe was his and that he owned it for work purposes.

During sentencing
at the City’s Magistrate’s Court, defence solicitor Maeliosa Barr said Millar
was a “very vulnerable man” and suffered from depression.

“He realised
that by not taking his medication he got himself into the difficulty he now
faces.”

Handing down the suspended jail term and ordering the destruction
of the axe, Deputy District Judge Bernie Kelly said: “This is a very serious
offence. The arming of oneself with a weapon has to be taken very
seriously.”

Taking into account the fact that Millar had spent six weeks
in custody on remand, the judge said she hopes this “marks a turning point in
any further offending.”
