Here is my message tonight to Del:
“Still miss you Del….[please know that LeAnne did everything she could to make it known to the world what really happened to you and know that Eli Lilly’s Prozac will never get away with your death! They have killed so many more since they killed you with Prozac. And by hiding your death and so many others they paved the way for all the other SSRI and SNRI antidepressants! “Prozac, Only a Mineral You Are Missing in Your Brain” ???!!!
“I still cannot believe your doctor lied to you in order to get you to take Prozac since you were so opposed to chemicals after overcoming alcoholism. You tried to tell him no! How he could lie so boldly telling you it was just a mineral you were missing in your brain! Less than three weeks later you were dead just as your career was taking off again like crazy!

Tragically Still No Warning for Those Dealing With Substance Abuse
Although there is every reason to issue strong warnings that antidepressants should never be used by those like you who have suffered alcoholism or substance abuse of any kind that warning remains unheard. From the beginning the antidepressants produced overwhelming compulsions for alcohol, even in those who had never touched alcohol before. Those compulsions for alcohol were in fact the first thing that drew my attention to Prozac. And we now have studies showing that antidepressants produce an increase in drinking in 45% of those who had problems with alcohol before. This should demonstrate the necessity for antidepressants to be contraindicated for those suffering from this. Instead these drugs seem to be the drugs of choice for those in rehab as a treatment for alcoholism or substance abuse! How absurd!!!!

Clearly LeAnne was the only one interviewed here who understood what had happened to Del and that this was not a “choice” he made in taking his own life. Few knew what a health nut Del had become and how spiritual a person he was and how much he loved Leanne and would never have “chosen” to leave her and his family.
