ANTIDEPRESSANTS: Woman Stabs Boyfriend 11 Times: Spain

Second paragraph reads:  “A woman who stabbed her boyfriend after his repeated insulting remarks about her weight at a family dinner has been sentenced to two years in prison for the attack. The ruling took into account that she was emotionally disturbed by his comments and also that she stabbed him after mixing alcohol with anti-depressants.

SSRI Stories Note:  The Physicians Desk Reference states that antidepressants can cause a craving for alcohol and alcohol abuse. Also, the liver cannot metabolize the antidepressant and the alcohol simultaneously,  thus leading to higher levels of both alcohol and the antidepressant in the human body.

Spanish woman gets 2 years for stabbing the boyfriend who called her fat

He made the comments publically at a family dinner in a local restaurant

A woman who stabbed her boyfriend after his repeated insulting remarks about her weight at a family dinner has been sentenced to two years in prison for the attack. The ruling took into account that she was emotionally disturbed by his comments and also that she stabbed him after mixing alcohol with anti-depressants.

It happened last year after the dinner in a local restaurant in Abrera, Barcelona province, where the victim is said to have publically told his girlfriend that she was too fat to run, and should stop eating as she was so fat and would have to find another man.

He is reported to have refused to discuss his comments once they returned home.

After taking some of the anti-depressants prescribed by her doctor and drinking two cans of beer, the accused attacked her boyfriend with a kitchen knife as he lay lying in his bed, inflicting a total of 11 stab wounds. EFE reports that she stopped when she realised what she was doing, insisting on taking him to hospital and calling the police.

The court gave her the minimum sentence, ruling that she was affected by the mix of drugs and alcohol and by her humiliating experience in the restaurant. They also found that she has low self-esteem and limited intelligence.

Zoloft Nightmare

“(Because of Zoloft) I was in prison and had lost my family, all of my property, my Ph.D.”

I am yet another individual whose life has been horribly disfigured by the drug Zoloft. My story is a very long one and I will not tell it all at this point but write of it in its entirety when my website is up some time in May of 03. The following is an abstract of sorts, a summary.

I began taking Zoloft in 1993. By 1996 I was in prison and had lost my family, all of my property, my Ph.D. (I was all but dissertation at the time of my arrest), my job, my reputation, and so on. I spent 6 years behind bars and was released in April of 2002. I will be on parole as a sex offender (I photographed my 15-year-old stepdaughter and her 15-year-old girlfriend) until 2016.

While in prison I was listening to a radio talk show, Cost-to-Coast, guest-hosted by the very talented Ian Punnett.

It was a Sunday, July 01, 2001. His guest was our own  Ann Blake Tracy. As she spoke I was amazed at the ramifications of what she was saying. I fit the pattern of someone who had succumbed to the drugs malevolent influences to a “t”. It was on that day that I first realized what had happened to me. It all became so clear! Five long years after my imprisonment I realized what had happened! May God bless and keep Ann Blake-Tracy.

My point in posting my story at this time is to see if there may be some way those of us who have had their lives destroyed by a drug can unite and file a class action lawsuit against the manufacturers of these drugs, Pfizer in my case. The statue of limitations has run out for me here in Arkansas. I only had two years to file for damages. But that is not acceptable to me and I want to pursue remedy. If there is any one of you who would like to try to pursue this please feel free to contact me at one of the following options.

I may be hard to reach for one reason or another (when I’m on line my home phone is busy, try the cell number) but please keep trying. There has got to be restitution for us in some way. My contact information is as follows: John E. Herndon, 13150 Nickels Rd., West Fork, AR 72774. Or e-mail me at- elwain@msntv.net.

Or phone me at home 479-839-3111, or cell 479-841-1661. There must be something we can do besides lament our tragedies on the web.

I Also Lost One of My Children to Paxil

“I just wanted you to know that there is another childless parent out here in the world because of these drugs.”

My name is Shannon Baker and I recently saw your post on the IFCDA site about Mathew. (He Never Said Goodbye”–posted on this site) I’ve been also following your case throughout the media. I’m sorry for your loss and I know that these words are of no comfort because there is absolutely no words in any language to express to you what I’d really wish to say and even then I know it would be of no benefit.

I contacted you because I have also lost one of my children to Paxil. My daughter Kara took her own life while withdrawing from Paxil for only 36 hours. She was only 12. She had been on Paxil for 8 months and you could see by the pictures taken within a year’s time that the drug was not only killing her mentally, but physically as well.

I just wanted you to know that there is another childless parent out here in the world because of these drugs. As I’m sure you’re aware that there are much to many of us. I wanted to reach out to you too because I know that parent’s that have lost a child and their death was so senseless, needless and so sudden and incomprehensible. That only a parent that has been through such a loss can relate to another that has experienced the same loss.

I am also filing a Wrongful Death suit against the maker’s of Paxil.

Although I know as you do that we will never have our child’s walk through the door and there is nothing that can compensate us for their life’s that were taken. I can only hope that the public will be made aware and that life’s will be saved. I vow that I will do everything in my power to not let my daughter’s death be in vain.. Here is my website address and a girlfriend’s website address if you’d like to go and look thr! ough the sites.

There’s a story page for my daughter on my website and a memorial page for my daughter on my girlfriend’s site in the UK. Here those addresses are:
