94-year-old mother was placed on Zoloft

My 94-year-old mother was placed on Zoloft when she became depressed because she was probated and placed in a nursing home. She is not the least bit feeble, but a few out-of-state family members had her declared incompetent, took her money, put her in a nursing home with a DNR. When she was given Zoloft, she hallucinated and saw the devil, complained of ”improper sexual thoughts”, and made a plan to run away from the nursing home and throw herself in front of a car in the highway. The doctor and guardians kept telling me that she just had to get used to the drug. They put an ankle alarm on her to keep her inside the nursing home. When she was finally taken off it took a fair amount of time for her to stop hallucinating. She has not been the same since this happened. Their rationalization: they didn’t want her to be depressed.

ANTIDEPRESSANT WITHDRAWAL: NC man gets 27 years in mother’s beating death

YET ANOTHER INDICATION OF HOW HORRIFIC
ANTIDEPRESSANT WITHDRAWAL CAN BE. REACHING FOR ILLEGAL DRUGS OR ALCOHOL IN ORDER
TO LESSEN THE WITHDRAWAL EFFECTS WHEN YOU CANNOT GET YOUR ANTIDEPRESSANT IS A
COMMON REPORT.

His attorney says Heath had been drinking and smoking
crack the night of the killing. She also says her client had been waiting for an
appointment at a Veteran’s Affair clinic for a refill of his antidepressant
medication.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. A North Carolina man has been sentenced to nearly three
decades in prison in the beating death of his 83-year-old mother.

The Charlotte Observer reported that 56-year-old Jerry Heath was sentenced to
27 years in prison after pleading guilty Thursday to second-degree murder.

Authorities say Heath killed his mother over $35. Prosecutors say Jerry Heath
hit Annie Heath with a lamp in November after she refused to give him more
money.

The Charlotte man wept as his relatives told a judge they weren’t mad at
Heath.

His attorney says Heath had been drinking and smoking crack the night of the
killing. She also says her client had been waiting for an appointment at a
Veteran’s Affair clinic for a refill of his antidepressant medication.

NOTE FROM Ann Blake-Tracy (www.drugawareness.org):
Welcome to abrupt antidepressant withdrawal!!!! Few things are more
dangerous! I have warned of this for 18 years now and in 2005 the FDA warned
that ANY abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant can produce suicide,
hostility and/or psychosis as a result. How tragic that the Heath family has
learned how true that is by first hand experience. To safely withdraw patients
MUST go extremely slowly down off these drugs.
And the fact remains that if Jerry Heath had substance abuse problems
before his use of an antidepressant he should NEVER have been prescribed one and
if he had no substance abuse problems before the prescription, those cravings
were induced by the use of the antidepressant. I AM SO SICK OF SEEING PEOPLE
WITH THESE PROBLEMS BEING GIVEN THESE DEADLY DRUGS WE CALL “ANTIDEPRESSANTS” AND
THE VA ARE AMONG THE VERY WORST AT HANDING THEM OUT LIKE CANDY!

ANTIDEPRESSANT WITHDRAWAL: Mother’s Baby Missing: Arizona

Paragraphs four through six read:  “”She should have
sought professional help. She did seek help for post partum
depression and she was on medication and during that
time she seemed a lot more mellow and everything was better,” Bob Johnson said.

But she stopped taking that medication shortly before she
hopped in Bob Johnson’s car with 8-month-old Gabriel and headed to Texas.

The baby was last seen in San Antonio in December with his 23-year-old
mother, who allegedly told Loagn McQueary, her ex-boyfriend, that she’d killed their baby.

SSRI Stories note:  Withdrawal, especially abrupt withdrawal, from any of these
medications can cause severe neuropsychiatric and physical symptoms. It is
important to withdraw extremely slowly from these drugs, often over a period of
a year or more, under the supervision of a qualified and experienced specialist,
if available.
Withdrawal is sometimes more severe than the original
symptoms or problems.

Johnson’s Grandfather Thinks She’s Lying

Bob Johnson Still Believes Baby Gabriel Is Alive

TEMPE, Ariz. — Bob Johnson said his
granddaughter, Elizabeth, has always been secretive.

“If she didn’t want
you to know something, you ain’t gonna find out,” Johnson said.

He said
moving in and out of five foster homes as a child made her that way. But he said
the straight “A” student also developed an irrational temper that led to bouts
of rage.

“She should have sought professional help. She did seek help
for post partum depression and she was on medication and during that time she
seemed a lot more mellow and everything was better,” Bob Johnson said.

But she stopped taking that medication shortly before she hopped in Bob
Johnson’s car with 8-month-old Gabriel and headed to Texas.

The baby was
last seen in San Antonio in December with his 23-year-old mother, who allegedly
told Loagn McQueary, her ex-boyfriend, that she’d killed their baby.

Elizabeth Johnson was arrested last week in Florida on suspicion of
custodial interference after she didn’t show up for a custodial hearing.

“She had this cockamamie idea that she was going to change her Social
Security number and name and his Social Security number and name and run
forever,” Bob Johnson said.

Instead, in an exclusive interview with CBS
5, Elizabeth Johnson said she simply gave Gabriel to a couple she met in a park.

“I trusted them. I believe in my heart they’re good people,” said
Elizabeth Johnson on the phone from jail.

But her grandfather doesn’t
buy it. He tried to envision her scenario.

‘Oh by the way, how would you
like to have a baby, oh it’s free, yeah it’s free,’ Bob Johnson said. “That’s
hard. That’s hard to really believe, but it’s a simple story. It’s a story that
you can repeat without stumbling.”

The last time Bob Johnson saw Gabriel
was when the whole family got together for Thanksgiving. He has pictures of
Elizabeth Johnson posing with the boy’s father, Logan McQueary.

“She’s
the sweet Elizabeth,” Bob Johnson said when pointing to a picture of her
smiling.

He thinks she gave Gabriel to a family in Texas, and is lying
now so the boy will never be found. But she has threatened to harm the child,
and Bob Johnson wonders if her past and her struggles with self control
eventually got the best of her.

“It’s possible that in a moment of
anger, depression, whatever, that she carried out her threat. I don’t even want
to think about it because, what a waste. What a waste,” said Bob Johnson.

ANTIDEPRESSANT: Murder Attempt: Woman Attempts to Kill her Mother: Aus…

Paragraph eleven reads:  “Maria Christine Clark had a
history of suffering from mild depression and was taking
medication, the summary said.”

Daughter guilty of attempted murder

20/10/2009
10:02:00 PM

A BALLARAT woman has admitted to trying to kill her elderly

mother at a nursing home by stopping her from breathing.

Maria Christine
Clark, 51, yesterday pleaded guilty in Ballarat Magistrates Court to one count
of attempted murder.

Her 81-year-old mother, Agnes Caris, died at
Nazareth House on the evening of December 14 last year.

The charge
carries a maximum penalty of 25 years’ imprisonment.

The prosecution
withdrew a charge of murder against Clark during yesterday’s brief court
hearing, which was set down for a three-day committal hearing.

A police
summary tendered to the court says Clark was alone with her mother in her room
when she tilted her head and pinched her wind pipe with her right thumb and
index finger until she stopped breathing.

Mrs Caris died at 11.10pm.

The next day, Clark confessed to a work colleague that she had taken her
mother‘s last breaths, the summary says.

Clark was then interviewed by
police where she recounted the incident.

The summary says Mrs Caris had
a stroke and lapsed into a coma just days before she died.

Family
members were told death was expected. She also suffered from cancer.

Clark had a history of suffering from mild depression and was taking
medication, the summary said.

Family surrounded Clark in court, however
a male left the court room abruptly moments before the case was called while a
female left crying during the hearing.

Clark sat silent in the front row
of the public gallery until Magistrate Richard Pithouse asked her for her plea,

to which she replied “guilty”.

Mr Pithouse extended Clark’s bail on
her own undertaking, which does not include reporting to police. She will face a
directions hearing in Melbourne on November 4.

Effexor Prescribed for PMS

“PMS compared to this would be heavenly!”

I am 45 yr old mother of 4, working full time. I was prescribed Prozac 12 yrs ago , then was changed to Effexor 7 yrs ago and have not been able to stop. The withdrawal’s are too overwhelming and debilitating. Even the slightest reduction 1/8th, starts the withdrawal symptoms. I experience extreme crying spells, horrifying panic attacks, which has sent me to the emergency room, sweating and burning followed by shivering cold spells. I can’t sleep, work or even function . I was prescribed this drug to help with PMS. PMS compared to this would be heavenly! The drug companies need to be held responsible for their actions. I believe their greed became more important than the reason these drugs were developed, to help people. I am a Christian and firmly believe God’s Word, we shall reap what we sow. I would ask other believer’s to join me and pray that these drug companies would reap what they have sown. Destruction. I have not yet gone through ‘the eye of the needle’ withdrawal and freedom but I am believing god to go thru and I will follow. Our country messed up big time. Hopefully god will be merciful and get up through this!

Meridia Stole My Health

“…the FDA was warned by their own experts not to release this Meridia and it got on the market anyway.”

I am a 62 year old mother of three grown sons. I have been exceptionally healthy all of my life. On 9/4/99, my birthday, I looked in the mirror and said to myself, “Jane, you would never have gotten those lines over your lip if you had never smoked.” I then started on my campaign to stop smoking and I did just that. When I grew up, all the movie stars smoked, it was glamorous, my parents smoked. But, I made a decision and this time I would make it. I DID!!! Only to have this devastating thing happen to me. I didn’t have any illness from smoking and decided I wasn’t going to.

I stopped smoking but gained 22 lbs. So, on my yearly visit to my gynecologist, I told him about the weight gain and he put me on Meridia. I had never heard of this drug but, had high hopes for results. I am a dancer and (vain about my looks) and this 22 lbs. seemed just too much. I breezed through the menopause and was a little heavier than my younger days but still an attractive, well proportioned, active lady. I was raised to think “Wellness”. My mother was a nurse and my Irish father thought eating right was the answer, and that young women should not be to thin. So, I think I had a very healthy outlook and just tried to reject illness. Besides having healthy genes, and youthful genes, I look at least 20 years younger than I am. I was so fortunate!!!

Shortly after starting Meridia, my right heal began to hurt, shooting pain near the Achilles tendon. I started walking on breaks at work, so I attributed it to that. My balance also seemed a little off. Also, there was a drastic change in my vision, but, being me, I told myself that I was finally going to need reading glasses. Still thinking “Wellness” but trying to admit that I was getting older. I visited an eye doctor and he asked if I was a diabetic. I am not and have never been. So, he said to go get checked for diabetes, since he had never heard of going from a -150 to -275 so quickly, and if I was diabetic, maybe when I was on medication, my vision would return to normal. All the diabetic tests were normal. My gynecologist ran the test. At that point, I mentioned to the doctor’s nurse that I was getting suspicious of the Meridia. And she snapped at me, “Then you must be one of the one’s that can’t take this drug.” I was furious, but kept my mouth shut. I have since confirmed to her my suspicions and asked that she tell the doctor and not to prescribe this drug to anyone else. Now, she has humbled a little.

This is getting much to long, doctor. Other symptoms: Broken bones in my feet. Confirmed stress fractures in right foot and I am being checked on the left foot this week. Dizzy spells, loosing my balance, staff infection right hand, from a slight stick to palm which did not even bleed. A rash on my nipples that is driving me crazy. After taking Augmentin for the staff infection, and getting a big dose of something in my butt, an antibiotic, I got something else, the exterior areas of my vagina became bright, maroonish, red and burned. This has gone away. There are some other symptoms but I have taken up enough of your time. I am really scared and this is why. As healthy as I am, with only the one doctor, the gynecologist, until this all occurred, I have been in touch with a legal firm out of Arizona and the young, legal asst., college student, pre-law, has told me that I may be experiencing decalcification of the bones. They have several people who have contacted them and the 19 year old boy, brilliant, has done a lot of research.

Well, that’s most of the story. I am very angry and scared. I may not be out of the woods. The law firm has not accepted my case yet although they represent a 29 year old girl, who is a vegetable, she admitted she took more Meridia than she should have. Her husband has to do everything for her and their young children. They are supposedly are suing for $25,000,000.

I also have done a lot of research but, have not been to a medical library and just simply don’t under the serotonin connection. I am very intelligent and perceptive, and thanks to my intuition, I only took this KILLER drug for 2 months and was off of it for a week when I took the Augmentin. I had three 10 mg. pills left and took them but, as mentioned above, (not all three at once). I decided not to get the third refill. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I may never be able to dance (could out dance any 25 year old). And, I may never regain my good vision. I am really worried about these stress fractures. I am calling to order your book tomorrow and maybe the serotonin connection might make a little sense to me.

Thank you so much for taking time to read this long email. You must be a very nice lady to care so much. Doctor, the FDA was warned by their own experts not to release this Meridia and it got on the market anyway. Knoll waged a major P.R. and exhaustive marketing program to fool the American people again. I consider these people criminals and I plan to expose them if it’s the last thing I ever do.
