BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!! FDA Declares Walnuts to be Drugs and Issues Strict Guidelines on Disclosing Benefits

Handful of Walnuts is Enough to Boost Health

First I will include some of the health benefits which according to the FDA we are apparently not to discuss about walnuts and then I will include the link to the FDA letter recently sent to Diamond warning about sharing this information….

You don’t have to consume large amounts of walnuts in order to experience the health benefits of walnuts. According to Vinson, as little as seven walnuts is enough to experience the benefits. Walnuts are so rich in antioxidants that a small amount is more than enough; when compared to vitamin E for example, walnuts are 15 times more potent. Just a handful of walnuts per day will help reduce the chances of heart disease, and other cardiovascular-related issues.

“Walnuts rank above peanuts, almonds, pecans, pistachios and other nuts. A handful of walnuts contains almost twice as much antioxidants as an equivalent amount of any other commonly consumed nut. But unfortunately, people don’t eat a lot of them. This study suggests that consumers should eat more walnuts as part of a healthy diet,” Joe Vinson of the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania says.

Diabetes Benefits

According to an article published by David Katz MD and his research group in Diabetes Care back in 2010, walnuts have been shown to help improve the health of the blood vessels in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Anti-Cancer Benefits

One study revealed that walnuts have potentially powerful breast cancer prevention properties. Researchers used mice specifically “created” to be at risk for breast cancer and fed one group of them a daily dose of walnuts, while the other didn’t receive any walnuts. When compared with those who didn’t get the nuts, the mice had a much lower risk of breast tumors, and when tumors were present, they were far smaller than in the control.

Just how many walnuts were required to reap this remarkable benefit? About the equivalent of 2 ounces in humans.

“It is clear that walnuts contribute to a healthy diet that can reduce breast cancer,” said lead researcher Elaine Hardman.

Brain Benefits

There is little coincidence that walnuts resemble tiny brains when they offer so many benefits for the mind. Some studies have linked them to a reduced risk of degenerative conditions like dementia and Alzheimer’s. One study found that rats fed walnuts for a 28-day period had learning and memory improvements when compared with other rats.

Excerpts from FDA Letter

Now because there is no way to just make this stuff up because it is so completely “out there” I am including direct links to this article so that you can get a glimpse here of how insane this is before you go into the actual article to read how far out the rest of the letter is!!!! Talk about INSANE!!! This takes the cake!

“The FDA’s language over walnuts resembles that of an out-of-control police state where tyranny supersedes rationality. Here is an excerpt from the FDA’s warning letter to Diamond Foods:

“Based on our review, we have concluded that your walnut products are in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act) and the applicable regulations in Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR).

“…Based on claims made on your firm’s website, we have determined that your walnut products are promoted for conditions that cause them to be drugs because these products are intended for use in the prevention, mitigation, and treatment of disease.”

ANTIDEPRESSANT-INDUCED AKATHISIA: MEET JOSH AND AIMEE JENSEN

Josh and Aimee2

JOSH AND AIMEE JENSEN BEFORE ANTIDEPRESSANTS

And these are their beautiful and happy children before akathisia happened to their father who can now no longer even hold his babies ….

Josh Jensen family

Josh Jensen Family – Pre-Akathisia

If you go to Aimee’s Facebook page at the following address you will see what condition Josh is in now after being given 14 meds over the past 10 months in spite of him beginning to show all the signs and symptoms of akathisia, including a suicide attempt on Effexor – known to be a result of the side effect of akathisia, all of which should have been clear indication that the drugging of Josh with serotonergic medications be stopped due to these extremely toxic effects, while they were only ignored: https://www.facebook.com/aimee.worsleyjensen

Josh Jensen is lucky to be alive today even though his suffering of this condition he has now been told is permanent is having such a severe negative effect upon their family’s peace and happiness and daily lives. Akathisia is a horrific side effect of antidepressants shown in previous studies to be a cause of suicide related to these antidepressant medications. Akathisia is a Greek term meaning “can’t sit still” where the muscles of the body are constantly driven to move without ceasing. There is no rest with this condition.

Listen to Josh Himself Describe What He Is Going Though

Please share their experience as a warning to others on antidepressants of what can happen, especially when medications are switched so often and in rapid succession.

UTAH PEDDLING ANTIDEPRESSANTS TO THREE YEAR OLDS!!!!

unhappy toddler

CHILDHOOD DEPRESSION???

Since the early 1990’s parents have reported to me that a place called the Children’s Center in Salt Lake City has been pressuring them to put toddlers as young as two on antidepressants. I had a chiropractor in Kansas report in the early 90’s that he had to help a family withdraw their month old baby from Zoloft given for the symptoms of colic! Shocking? Certainly and it should be! But was that only back then? NO!

This article below came out yesterday on KSL in Salt Lake City, UT peddling antidepressants for depressed children as young as three!!! It is from the University of Utah, ironically at the Neuropsych Unit where I was first invited to speak about the negative effects of SSRIs.

In the comments to this article I found the following very wise statement by a young man who was started on antidepressants at a very young age and medicated until he was 23:

NBF J60: “I was diagnosed with clinical depression when I was in the fourth grade.

“What did they do to solve the problem? I was put on medications. I can tell you right now that treating depression with medications is hands down the stupidest thing you can do.

“Since my diagnosis, I was on medication for all those years until just after my 23rd birthday when I decided to quit. It was really hard for a month or two but since then my life has been more stable than it ever has before. And for the entire time I was on medication I still had depressive episodes on a regular basis, plus they kind of messed me up.

“The medical industry loves medication because it is a cheap and easy “fix.” Psychiatrists can make a lot more money handing out pills after a fifteen minute visit rather than genuinely taking the time to help someone get their life in order. If you choose to not take the medication they suggest and take up more of their time, plan on spending a fortune.

“Also, clinical depression is NOT a disorder! It is very real, and extremely difficult, but it is a natural thing about life that helps us become stronger. From personal experience, I believe that the real solution to depression, is simply to let it play its course, and through love and help from family and friends, learn how to cope, become stronger, and move forward in life.”

My response: “What was done to you should be done to no child!!! Hopefully your body and brain will be able to recover from the damaging effects of the antidepressants.

“These drugs produce a doubling of cortisol with only one dose which can produce widespread damage throughout the body and the brain…especially in an developing brain and body.

“And for someone to even suggest these these drugs may be safe for a child as young as three…..it appears it is time for that person to read through the FDA Advisory Committee hearings on Antidepressants and Children held a full decade ago last month. Those meetings resulted in the strongest warnings against children using these drugs – a Black Box Warning for double the rate of Suicidal Ideation (compulsive and ruminating thoughts of killing oneself along with the same compulsive thoughts of how to go about doing that). The Black Box Warning is the step just previous to issuing a complete ban on the use of antidepressants in children. This article would indicate to me that perhaps it is time for that next step to be taken.”

Where a Video on Suicide Does Not Go Quite Far Enough

lost and found

Lost and Found…painting by Greg Olsen

This is a video just issued by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on the subject of suicide and what can be done to help those contemplating suicide. The video can be seen here with my comments on it below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qFQ4LuM8yI#t=408

“Wonderful advice for those around someone struggling with suicide! Love is what is needed even though the one contemplating suicide is so busy pushing everyone away from them in every way they can think of. Please know that is NOT what they really want.

“But what a shame this did not go far enough! You can see in the very first photo of Dan what we have LONG called “Prozac eyes,” a term now used in medical studies. According to the FDA Black Box Warnings (the strongest warning next to banning an entire group of drugs) antidepressants double the rate of suicide in those under 25 (not sure how they thought these drugs can determine your age!). The truth is the drugs can do that for many.

“As John warned us in Rev. 18:21-24 the whole world would be “deceived” by the sorceries (pharmakia – medicine from a pharmacy) in the last days and the end result with be the deaths of “Prophets, Saints and all good men.” Now in fulfillment of John’s warning the world’s leading expert on medical research, Dr. John Ioannidis, says that 90% of the science on medicine is tainted or just plain bogus due to influence by the industry (deception). http://www.drugawareness.org/recentcasesblog/lies-damned-lies-and-medical-science

“Dan’s loved ones need to know that suicide was NOT a choice Dan made, but a reaction to a drug that causes one to act out nightmares in a semi-conscious or unconscious state known as a REM Sleep Disorder (RBD). Research indicates that 86% of those being diagnosed with this deadly disorder are taking these drugs we call antidepressants.

“WARNING: Since RBD has long been known as a drug withdrawal state coming too rapidly off one of these antidepressants can also cause it! According to the FDA any abrupt change in dose of an antidepressant can cause suicide, hostility or psychosis – generally a manic psychosis which is why so many we now meet are diagnosed Bipolar after taking the drugs.”

ANTIDEPRESSANTS: SUICIDE HITS A 25 YEAR ALL TIME HIGH

suicide-21585990

SUICIDE DEATHS HIT A 25 YEAR ALL TIME HIGH

Now I don’t know why on earth the suicide rate would be at an all time high over the past 25 years when some of the most popular prescription drugs on the market have a Black Box Warning for suicide, do you?! Give me a break!!!!

I and our group, the International Coalition for Drug Awareness, have been tracking the cases for 25 years and building a database of the suicides (www.ssristories.NET) and it is so common to have an antidepressant behind these completely out of character suicides that coroners have been noticing it for two decades…LONG before the FDA Black Box Warning was put into place to the point of even asking when they walk into an autopsy, “So have you found the antidepressant yet?”! So NOW the CDC is finally letting us know that suicide is at a 25 year high? Just as with the FDA their warnings seem to always come way too late!

But the FDA issued the Black Box Warning for suicide with antidepressants in 2005 so why is it that so few become aware of the warning for suicide in association with antidepressant use until after their loved one has taken their own life and perhaps someone else’s life as well? It is because they are not being given that warning by their doctors as mandated by law! Perhaps someone might want to look at that problem along with the fact the warning was only given for those 25 and under when the drugs clearly don’t care what age you happen to be when they produce the toxic reaction linked to overwhelming compulsions to kill yourself.

So why this revelation from the CDC now? Is it just a push for even more of those who are feeling down and out to take these drugs with the misnomer “antidepressant” attached to them even though these drugs have listed side effects of depression, anxiety, psychosis and suicide? Can someone please explain to me why that would “help” anyone get over depression?!

Just how much longer do we as a society tolerate having prescription drugs on the market with warnings they could produce both suicide and homicide as a side effect?! The Germans missed seeing the Holocaust happening right under their noses no different than we are missing this current medication-induced holocaust happening right under our noses! Wake up America!

CNN: Utah & Mormon’s Prescription Drug Abuse Problem

Salt Lake Temple

CNN Sunday Evening: Utah & Mormon’s Prescription Drug Problem

This will air Sunday evening on CNN and you can watch a couple of trailers on the show posted below. This is exactly where I have warned for 25 years that Utah was headed when doctors flooded the state with antidepressants and they became the antidepressant capitol of the nation. I watched these drugs destroy one of the most peaceful places in the country until I could stand it no longer and left in 2005. I could no longer bear to watch it happen and it seemed no one really wanted to listen.

I have long said that Utah should be used as a microcosm to show where these drugs will take a society. In just the first seven years after the release of the SSRIs I watched Utah go from the lowest divorce rate in the nation to over the national average.

They became the bankruptcy capitol as so many went manic on their antidepressants and spent everything they had. (I remember one man who told me that every bit of the $2 Million he had before was gone.)

Suicides were everywhere with children and adults hanging themselves, shooting themselves, jumping from overpasses or in front of trains or having standoffs with police to commit suicide by cop.

Violent crime skyrocketed as people committed crimes no one could believe someone like them would have ever committed such as mothers killing their children or previously loving fathers hacking their families to death with hatchets.

Unwed pregnancy increased. (One woman told me she was concerned about her 18 year old step daughter whose mother had started on Prozac. I said, “Not another teen! Is she pregnant yet? She said, “No, but she has been married four times this past year and getting ready to get married again!” Made me sick that this was a young woman with higher standards suffering the sexual compulsions of antidepressant-induced mania but trying to handle that by getting married over and over again!)

Another couple told me that they were in marriage counseling with 8 other couples where they were all encouraged to go on Prozac. They were the only ones who refused and the only ones who were able to hold their marriage together. All the other couples ended in divorce. From then on I referred to the drugs as the “Divorce Pills”

NAMI ruled the state when it came to convincing so many they were mentally ill and needed to be medicated. This problem was so bad that the fellow I worked closely with at Salt Lake County Drug and Alcohol Abuse encouraged me to actually infiltrate NAMI with our group, the International Coalition for Drug Awareness, because NAMI would encourage everyone to keep their loved ones on their drugs – their main and only focus really. Of course that would have been impossible since we later learned from Senator Charles Grassley’s Senate investigation into NAMI’s funding, which he did in the mid 2000’s, that 80% of their funding comes directly from drug manufacturers. The national head of NAMI was so shocked to learn that he resigned after the probe. But the group continues to do what they have done for years – push drugs for those who fund them.

How did this happen in Utah and among Mormons?

First it came from trusting in the arm of flesh rather than Father in Heaven.

Secondly as Isiah points out clearly their “tables are full of vomit” – what he means is that they are eating food that has already had all the nutrition stripped from it. But our food is stripped of nutrients via processing. We consume too many processed foods. And Mormons are just as guilty of that because too many of them are ignoring their own health code, listening to only the don’ts (no alcohol, tea, tobacco, and coffee) and paying no attention to the do’s (eat whole foods, eat meat sparingly, exercise, etc).

The price paid for ignoring this wise counsel has been devastating as you will see in this CNN special!!!

Thank You FDA for Yet ANOTHER Deadly Diet Drug!!!!!!

WELLBUTRIN

CONTRAVE (WELLBUTRIN) FOR WEIGHT LOSS?

As if the ravages of the serotonergic diet drugs Phen Fen and Redux in the mid 90’s did not generate enough pain and suffering, the FDA next approved a drug almost identical to Redux that had just been pulled from the market for the heart damage, but more for the brain damage it caused. The new drug Merida was finally pulled from the market in 2010 I believe. And since then the FDA has “blessed” us with three new diet drugs since 2012. Qsymia (phentermine and topiramate) and Belviq (lorcaserin) were both approved that year and both of them are serotonergic drugs with similar side effect profile of the SSRI antidepressants including Serotonin Syndrome and suicide. Then the latest weight loss drug was approved on September 10, 2014.

The brand name of the new drug is Contrave. But it is not actually a new drug, as most are not any more, but it is a combination of two presently approved drugs, the antidepressant Wellbutrin and Naltrexone, an anti-addiction drug.

With this drug those in the clinical trials lost an amazing 2% – 4% more than those on placebo! Over a six month period they lost 25 pounds.

Wow! Now doesn’t that sound effective?! Sure makes me want to try it! How about you? Funny that going to a raw Vegan diet and being out on a farm this summer I lost 15 pounds in four months this summer. No wonder we find the following statement in the following article about the new “diet drug”….

A most classic statement: “Is the new drug meant to be used in combination with diet and exercise? …. Absolutely, doctors agree. “If you try to use it in isolation, that patient is not going to have success,” says Bipan Chand, MD.”

So there is no cutting corners with the drug, you cannot just take the drug and lose weight. You have to do diet and exercise with it for it to work. So … what really produces the weight loss? Obviously it is the diet and exercise!

Somehow I have trouble believing there is much of anything this drug does to help. Certainly seems that it would not be worth taking the chance with Wellbutrin as part of the combination that makes up this drug. Wellbutrin is the antidepressant that Donna Fairchild, the City Counselwoman who was running for Mayor in Mesquite, NV, took a couple of years ago as a stop smoking aid. Then in abrupt withdrawal from the drug she shot her husband and herself. Donna and her husband were both retired Denver police officers.

For many other similar examples of what can happen on Wellbutrin I would suggest you go to our database of cases at www.ssristories.net and click on the option of which drug the person was on and read all of the Wellbutrin cases there. That will give you some idea of whether you think a 2% to 4% weight loss is worth taking such a chance. Since I got straight A’s in math, you will certainly not see me standing in line for a prescription for this drug! (Or any other, for that matter with all I know now about Pharma and their practices!)

And just for fun I suggest you go to http://www.belviq.com/ and read the Important Safety Information on Belviq. I assure you it will surprise you what all you are going to find there. Clearly none of these drugs can be taken safely with an antidepressant which causes the weight gain for which you might consider a weight loss medication!

ORIGINAL ARTICLE:By Kathleen Doheny
WebMD Health News Reviewed by Arefa Cassoobhoy, MD, MPH

Sept. 11, 2014 — The FDA’s approval on Wednesday of a new prescription weight-loss pill offers yet another option for the more than one-third of American adults who are obese. Called Contrave, the new drug is the third prescription weight-loss drug to be approved by the FDA since 2012. It’s also approved for those not obese but overweight with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes.

Contrave joins Qsymia (phentermine and topiramate) and Belviq (lorcaserin). Both were approved in 2012.

Contrave combines two drugs already on the market: bupropion (Wellbutrin), an antidepressant, and naltrexone, an anti-addiction drug. Because it contains bupropion, the new drug will have a boxed warning to alert doctors and patients to the increased risk of suicidal thoughts that are linked with antidepressants.

Weight loss experts say all three drugs work in similar ways, but they welcome Contrave as yet another option, especially since not all weight loss drugs work the same for everyone.

The FDA approval came after the agency looked at new information it requested from the drug’s maker in 2011 to be sure the drug was safe for the heart. Even so, the approval came with a requirement to do another study about the drug’s effect on the heart.

Here’s what else to know about the new drug.

How does Contrave work?

”It takes away hunger and the cravings for food,” says John Foreyt, PhD, professor of medicine and director of the Behavioral Medicine Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. He was a researcher on a clinical trial studying Contrave. He does not have financial ties to Orexigen, the drug’s maker, or to Takeda Pharmaceuticals, which plans to market the new drug.

How the combination works for weight loss is not entirely understood, even by experts. The bupropion helps lessen appetite, says William Troy Donahoo, MD, an endocrinologist and weight loss specialist at Kaiser Permanente, Denver. The naltrexone, he says, probably works by blocking certain receptors in the brain and curbing cravings.

Who is eligible to take it?

The drug, a daily pill, is approved for use in adults with a body mass index or BMI of 30 (obese), or a BMI of 27 (overweight) with conditions that raise heart and stroke risks, such as high blood pressure, cholesterol, or type 2 diabetes.

A 5-foot-9-inch person who weighs 183 pounds has a BMI of 27. At 203 pounds, his or her BMI is 30.

The drug should not be given to anyone with a seizure disorder, pregnant women or those trying to get pregnant, or anyone with an eating disorder, among others, according to the FDA.

Is the new drug meant to be used in combination with diet and exercise?

Absolutely, doctors agree. “If you try to use it in isolation, that patient is not going to have success,” says Bipan Chand, MD. He’s the director of the Loyola University Medical Center’s Center for Metabolic Surgery and Bariatric Care.

The ideal patient, Chand says, is one who will look at their diet, make healthier choices, and get regular exercise, along with taking the medicine.

The drug will help with controlling how much someone eats, Foreyt agrees, ”but we still have to watch what we eat and exercise regularly.”

In clinical trials that included obese and overweight men and women, everyone received instructions on eating a reduced-calorie diet and getting regular exercise.

How much weight do people on this drug lose?

The amount varies, but on average, people lose 5% to 10% of their starting weight, according to clinical trials and experts.

In one 56-week study looking at Contrave combined with health habit changes, those on the drug lost more than 9% of their starting weight, while those on placebo lost just 5%.

So a 200-pound person losing 10% would end up at 180 pounds, perhaps moving from the obese to the overweight range, or the overweight to the healthy weight range.

In clinical trials that studied more than 4,500 people, the drug helped people keep off weight for up to a year, the length of the studies, according to Orexigen. On average, those who took Contrave for 6 months and combined it with a weight-management program lost 25 pounds, the company says in a statement. Those who were on placebo and the weight-management program averaged a 17-pound loss.

According to the FDA, people without diabetes who were in one of the clinical trials and took Contrave had an average weight loss, at the 1-year mark, of 4.1% over those who took the placebo pill.

In another study of those with type 2 diabetes, those on the drug lost 2% more than those on placebo.

In approving Contrave, the FDA says that those using it at the maintenance dose ”should be evaluated after 12 weeks to determine if the treatment is working.” If the weight loss at that point is not at least 5% of starting weight, the drug should be stopped, according to the FDA, as it is not likely to work adequately and long-term for the patient.

If the drug is working, the label has limit on how long it can be taken.

The results seen in studies of the drug aren’t always the same once the drug is on the market, Donahoo says. Once on the market, he says, the medicine may give better results than in clinical trials.

Part of the reason, he says, may be that doctors familiar with their patients can pick the weight loss drug they think may be most likely to work for a specific patient.

What are the side effects of the new drug?

In the clinical trials of Contrave, nausea was most common, reported by 34% of people, Foreyt says. Other complaints were headache, constipation, dizziness, vomiting, insomnia, dry mouth, and diarrhea, the FDA says.

The FDA rejected the request for approval of Contrave in 2011, requesting more information about the safety of the drug for the heart. In response, Orexigen launched the Contrave Light Study, including nearly 9,000 patients, to rule out excess heart and stroke risks in those taking the drug.

The interim results of the study, announced in late 2013, met the FDA goals, according to the company.

The FDA approval includes requirements for post-marketing research, including a heart outcomes trial to look at any heart and stroke risks. The company must also look at the potential for interactions between Contrave and other drugs, evaluate the best dose for patients with liver or kidney problems, look at the safety of the drug in children, and do other research.

How does Contrave compare to the other two recently approved weight-loss drugs?

No head-to-head comparison has been made of all three drugs — Contrave, Belviq and Qsymia — but experts can talk in general about how the drugs are alike and different.

“All affect one’s desire to eat,” Chand says of the three. In contrast, other weight loss drugs, such as orlistat (Alli, Xenical) work by reducing the digestion and absorption of fat in food.

“There is no way to predict who will respond and will not” to the various drugs, Chand says. “It is trial and error.”

What will Contrave cost?

Company spokespeople declined to estimate. But other experts expect it to be priced competitively with the other two prescription weight-loss drugs.

Both cost about $6 or $7 a day, or about $180 to $210 a month.

Insurance coverage for Qsymia and Belviq varies by plan.

Takeda, which will distribute Contrave, expects the drug to be available in the fall, says Denise Powell, a spokeswoman for Orexigen.

Brisdelle – Risks of Paxil Approval for Menopause

brisdelle

BRISDELLE IS LOWER DOSE PAXIL FOR MENOPAUSE

BUT ALREADY HAS REPORTS OF HOMICIDAL IDEATION & MORE

Hopefully you all remember the blog I put out last year on Brisdelle, which is only the antidepressant Paxil with a new name and at less that half the normal dose which has now been approved for the treatment of menopause. And although the FDA Advisory Panel voted against the approval of Brisdelle (Paxil) the FDA approved the drug anyway.

I want to share an interview about the approval of Brisdelle with a doctor who specializes in treating menopause. And I want to share with you some new information on this drug that reflects upon Paxil’s deadly side effects.

After reading this I think you will agree with me that where they found such a moronic doctor to interview in this following news piece about the new drug is the main question! The most incredibly ignorant of her statements in the interview would be this: “But women who would benefit from this are women who have a history of blood clots, who have family histories that are significant for blood clots, women who have personal histories of breast cancer, women who are using Tamoxifen or women that have very significant family histories of breast cancer…”

Why is that?

In studies Paxil has been shown to cause breast cancer at a SEVEN TIMES GREATER rate than those on placebo! And blood clots are also associated with the elevated serotonin.

Now for the news since all of what I just told you is old news…Brisdelle carries a warning of “homicidal ideation” (continuous compulsive homicidal thoughts which can lead to homicidal action). So if you thought your wife was bitchy before while going through menopause JUST WAIT!!!! To their credit though I must admit that obviously Brisdelle will take care of the problem for you because when you are six foot under, after your wife suffers this side effect in the middle of the night, you will not care how bitchy your wife is as she goes through menopause and takes her Brisdelle! 🙂

For additional cases of women suffering homicidal ideation on Paxil (Brisdelle) search our database of antidepressant cases at www.ssristories.net .

Meet Dr. John Virapen – The Man Who BOUGHT Prozac’s Approval

“I indirectly contributed to the death of . . . people, whose shadows now haunt me.”

Yes, I did say “BOUGHT” the approval for Prozac! Once the managing director for Eli Lilly in Sweden he now wants “to see chemical medicine taken out of the equation. John and I did our first show together in 2010 in Provo, UT. I believe it was his first in America discussing how he, under direct orders from his superiors at Eli Lilly, bribed the approval for Prozac (You will not believe how little he paid to get that approval!!) in Sweden thereby paving the way for the approval of all the Prozac clones that followed it – Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, Sarafem, Stratera,  Celexa, Lexapro, Effexor, Remeron, Pristiq, Cymbalta, Brisdelle, etc.

Why Sweden? That was because Sweden was known for their strict approval guidelines for medications so that other countries would rush the drug through the approval process in their countries with little scrutiny. This is how the SSRI antidepressants were born as the designer drugs in our world which now bring in $11 Billion annually.

If anyone really thought Prozac’s approval had anything to do with any benefit the drug might have or that the benefits were backed by scientific research then here is their wake up call! The next time anyone attempts to defend an antidepressant and states that any of these antidepressants are helping patients please share this post with them so that they learn the truth about these drugs and their birth!!! In doing that PLEASE share with them the WITHDRAWAL WARNING posted below! If you do not know what you are doing in withdrawal it can be the most dangerous period of taking an antidepressant and tragically MOST doctors remain unaware of that fact!

He has just learned that his first book, Side Effects: Death. Confessions of a Pharma-Insider, will be turned into a full-length feature film.

Click the link below to listen to him reveal on the show we did just how he went about putting that deal to get Prozac on the market…How much he paid…How he groomed the man responsible for making that decision…. The carrot he dangled to catch his attention and sweeten the deal….How medical research is really done….Questions about vaccine safety….How common bribery is in the prescription drug world we all consider so “safe” but may never again after listening to his confessions:

And in the following recent article “Former Top Industry Insider Reveals Big Pharma Secrets” John  ….

  1. • Reveals how bribery is common practice in drug approvals.
  2. • Admits he pushed drugs worldwide which he knew were not safe

John began to realize that the drugs he was pitching were not drugs, but death. He was well aware early on that thousands had died or committed suicide by taking the drugs. In his book he confesses, “I indirectly contributed to the death of . . . people, whose shadows now haunt me.”

“Spending nearly 30 years pushing Big Pharma’s wares onto doctors, who would then push them onto an unsuspecting, trusting public, Virapen made millions dealing drugs, crisscrossing the globe in the hopes of convincing healthcare professionals to use his company’s products, even when he knew they were unsafe.

“Seeing his latest son born in 2004 was an epiphany for him, and he decided to come out of the shadows to make sure no one else died at the hands of pharmaceuticals. Virapen is now 71 years old.”

WHAT YOU NEVER KNEW ABOUT PROZAC’S APPROVAL PROCESS – SOMETHING THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW!

___________________________________________________________________

AMERICAN FREE PRESS asked Virapen to explain how he helped get Prozac into the hands of tens of millions worldwide.

“My boss told me, ‘Do what you have to do’ to get the drug approved,” he said.

Finding the man responsible for the approval, and researching his background for clues on how to best approach him, they met at an Indian restaurant to discuss Virapen’s proposal.

“He was laughing,” Virapen told this reporter, “and I asked him, ‘What are you laughing at?’”

“He told me, ‘This product is no good, it’s a load of rubbish,’ ” said Virapen.

Around a month later, Virapen’s target received a $25,000 check from Lilly, a bribe, plus a promise to do a 10-year study on the drug, “which meant millions for him,” Virapen explained.

“I had performed a criminal act,” he wrote in his book. “I was forced to use bribery to influence drug approval, even though I knew the drug would harm people.”

“All the companies were the same,” said Virapen. “I did a lot of bribery. I’m an expert.”

STUDY: Paxil Offers Little Benefit Over Placebo in Depression or Anxiety

Paxil pill

PAXIL OR PAX-HELL

AS CONSUMERS REFER TO IT

A new study has been published in PLOS demonstrating that Paxil, which they point out works like most all other antidepressants indicating similar results can be expected for all other antidepressants, is of little more benefit than a placebo. See the information in my comment to demonstrate the dangers of antidepressants and to support your arguments against the use of these drugs. Find the link to the article on the study below and my comments to one comment disputing the reputation of the PLOS journal and to the study results below.

My Comment: ANTIDEPRESSANTS SHOULD BE BANNED…

First of all there is NOTHING of questionable repute when it comes to PLOS. It is well respected. Most likely the only ones questioning their repute after this study are those connected to the $11 Billion (Plus) income coming in from antidepressants. 🙂

No one should find the results of this study surprising at all because it is only supporting old news. I believe it was back in 2008 the news broke that studies kept hidden by the antidepressant manufacturers for 20 years, even kept hidden from the FDA, demonstrated there was no more benefit from antidepressants than placebo. Google it.

So no benefit, yet if you read the side effects it is clear to see that the risk to benefit ratio of these drugs is “down the toilet”!

The drugs carry warnings of both suicidal and homicidal ideation (that is constant compulsive thoughts of killing oneself or others along with the same constant compulsive thoughts of various ways to kill).

Antidepressants are also found in 86% of the diagnosed cases of REM Sleep Disorder where patients act out nightmares in a sleep state and which is also known to include both murder and suicide.

All this negative potential when a placebo would offer as much in the way of benefit?! Seriously?

And suicidal and homicidal compulsions are only the tip of the antidepressant iceberg! You also have the 7 times greater chance of breast cancer with Paxil which is now being touted for menopause under the new name Brisdelle and specifically for women with a greater risk of breast cancer!

Then there is the three to four times greater rate of Autism for the children born to moms who take antidepressants, not to mention all the babies born with holes in their hearts or transposed arteries – both requiring open heart surgeries at birth and a lifetime of medical issues after..

And to top that off the hypothesis behind the drugs is backwards. Serotonin was never low in depression! What was low in depression, anxiety, suicide, psychosis, mania, impulsive murder or suicide, cravings for alcohol, etc was serotonin metabolism – the exact thing antidepressants are designed to inhibit! Which means the drugs should cause all of the above reactions. (See my 2004 testimony before the FDA Advisory Committee for additional data on that issue.) Just read a package insert for warnings of most all of the above as possible “side effects.”

Add to all that the fact that antidepressants produce horrible and very dangerous withdrawal for many unless they know enough to go down EXTREMELY slowly taking months or years (depending on how long they have been on the drugs) to wean off only a granule or two at a time in order to do so safely and successfully, Most patients and their doctors attempt to wean much too rapidly producing rebound depression from the withdrawal thus causing the patient to end up back on the drugs again. This is the reason people stay on antidepressants for so long – THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GET OFF SAFELY!!!

Clearly there is no benefit that justifies any of the risks!
