Allow me to introduce my good friend Katie Aurit who has just set up a Go Fund Me Account to help those incarcerated in our prison system to obtain copies of the Bible. Katie and I met around 2006 after her son Todd, AJ’s father, had a terrible accident due to an adverse reaction to the antidepressant, Lexapro. The accident left one dead and two very seriously injured. For that they gave Todd 72 years in prison. Unfortunately Katie did not find us until after Todd’s case had already gone through the court system.
Since that time no one I know of has worked harder to find a way to help those incarcerated. She could likely easily earn a law degree at this point! She is making great headway and we hope to be able to share soon with many how to get their loved ones back home with them.
But in the meantime her son Todd has had her working on yet another project – obtaining Bibles for his cellmates.
