How Ambien or Antidepressants Can Make You a Criminal

This is an excellent article in the Daily Mail, but once again, even though they interviewed one of the experts who is well aware of this, they have left the antidepressants out of the conversation. I encourage you to read the article to learn more about who some of the high profile people are who have reported this REM Sleep reaction and what antidepressants can produce as well as Ambien. I always shutter when I see both prescribed together!

Ironically they have a video on alternative treatments for sleep. It started out great and had some good advice at the end yet the middle is nothing but promoting Benzos, Ambien and antidepressants which are the biggest CAUSE of insomnia on the planet!!! Go figure on that one! What can I say? They have bought up everyone everywhere to peddle their meds!

Here is my comment on the article:

“I have been testifying in these cases for about two and a half decades and gathering a database of thousands of cases. But I continue to wonder why antidepressants remain out of the news for causing this reaction as well and at a much higher rate. Antidepressants do more of these reactions than Ambien does. Dr. Mahowald’s associate, Dr. Carlos Schenck, has found that 86% of these kinds of cases involved patients who were taking an antidepressant.

Murder and suicide can both be the result of this reaction as well. I have a database of thousands of these cases at www.ssristories.NET and all of you who think you are doing well on your Ambien should note Dr. Mahowald’s statement where he warns that there is NO warning that this reaction is about to happen. They just come out of the blue. If you are very well educated about various reactions and watching extremely closely you might, just might, be able to predict it.

Mahowald and Schenck are two of the top researchers in the world on this very serious reaction best known as REM Sleep Disorder (RBD). There is an entire chapter in my book on SSRI antidepressants, Prozac: Panacea or Pandora? – Our Serotonin Nightmare, which is devoted to this subject.
